Ryan began his wedding videography career in 2010 in Los Angeles and quickly became recognized as one of the top videographers in the U.S.. After relocating to DC and still receiving countless inquiries from all corners of the country, Ryan decided to recruit and train a few talented friends so he could continue offering the quality wedding videography he’s known for in SoCal and eventually over 10 cities. When I first started shooting lots of weddings, I would wake up the next day after a shoot and my wife would ask me how went. “It was insanely cool, and everybody there seemed like SUCH GOOD FOLK,” was a phrase I would almost always use to describe a somewhat ineffable feeling of being surrounded by GOODNESS. Goodness is often found at weddings, and it’s that goodness that we try to find with our cameras, microphones, lights, eyeballs and ears. That's how I came up with the name of my business. I first got into video work as a teenager, shooting skating videos with my friends. I was lucky enough to have a part-time job, and I’d saved up enough money to buy a Canon GL2 – a much sought-after camcorder. I would film my friends and I skating. We ended up purchasing a computer in order to learn video editing, and put together a full skate video after years of stacking footage. I sold that first video to a skate shop in Bakersfield.

As a child my favorite toy was my parent’s video camera as I was always making movies with friends. Instead of writing book reports in high school teachers allowed me to make video spoofs instead. Because of this, I helped start a video production class at my former high school that gives students the opportunity to explore their own creative paths.

My name is Gage Horne, the owner of Gage Horne Studios. I started my company in 2019 (officially) but have been doing video work starting at the age of 11. It started as gaming videos uploaded to YouTube, to shooting professional dance films in college, to starting my own Video Production Service.
