My life in wedding photography started as an apprentice to a master photographer lugging equipment, loading countless rolls of film, and driving all over Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for two years. I learned a lot during that period of my life and found myself looking forward to Fridays and Saturdays; not for the weekend off, but the next wedding! More than 1000 weddings later, I still believe the best wedding pictures are real moments, photographed in the most beautiful way possible. My photographs are complex, yet simple. They are romantic. I'm a Cincinnati girl born and raised. I began my photography journey at the New York Institute of Photography and Click Photo School. I'm so inspired by many photographer friends and love constantly learning and growing. I love new adventures, lattes, and my people. I love the smell of fresh-cut grass and summer rain, and I think it's amazing how details like a certain smell or song can take you right back to a moment in time. Kind of like pictures! Most of all, I love my family and friends big. As an Enneagram 7 and an ENFP, I love the opportunity to meet new people, and you guys - my clients, are the reason I absolutely love what I do.

I talk you down when you’re texting me, panicking that maybe you bought the wrong dress. I’ll always check your teeth for lipstick before we start shooting. When that one groomsmen is running (really) late, I’ll gently take your shoulders & look you in the eye & remind you to breath deep. Everything is fine. I’ll wipe (no, DAB) your tears away so your makeup doesn’t get smudged. When you’re dancing too hard (is there such a thing?) I’ll pin your hair back into place. I’ll laugh with you. A lot.

If you want your wedding to look different than everyone else, then I'm your man. My background in fine art (MFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY) helps me see things other photographers don't. Yes, we will get all of those classic wedding moments, but I will also value everything in between.

I tell people all the time... The reason I love photography so much is simply because I get to capture an extremely special moment in time, which someone will cherish forever. I lost my mother back in 2011, and I thank her, my dad and my grandparents for always making sure to capture memories. Not just because I want to file them away in a photo book, but because it helps me remember. Photos are a way to remember, to look back, to smile and cherish those entirely too short moments in our past.

You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!
