“Mike brought expert level attention to detail, along with a great feel for the vibe of our reception. First, he was very informative in our initial discussions, providing direct answers to each of our questions, and giving us an easy to fill in Google Doc for our input. He met with us and our event coordinator to discuss timeline and go over our preferences for certain parts of the ceremony. On the day of he was set up and ready to go for our cocktail hour, and by the time we entered for our first dance he had our (normally very shy) friends and family bumping with energy. During the first dance he kept an eye out for me to signal to wrap up our song a little early (nobody wants to hear a long instrumental outro...). He then proceeded to do a great job of MC'ing our dinner and toasts. Then our party was a complete blast. He expertly weaved in our recommendations with his own song picks. This was no small feat since our wedding featured a combination of American and South Indian cultures, meaning that he had to blend in a number of songs that were most likely new to him. Overall it went really well, with both of our dads having an amazing time, and our friends grouping up for some of the bigger tracks. He closed the night with a special intro to our closer song (Daft Punk's One more time) and everyone was asking for more (unfortunately venues have strict closing times). So, we would highly recommend for the professionalism, organization and ability to keep track of the party's mood as the night went on.”

“We always ranked the music as the number one priority for our wedding, and we’re so glad we entrusted David Rothstein Band to bring our party to life. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. “Davin was INCREDIBLE! He was an incredible communicator, extremely organized, was on top of everything before our wedding day and during, and was incredibly talented. He played music that we requested as well as adding songs that matched the vibe. I really liked that he was actually DJing too. It wasn’t just like a Spotify playlist playing. I don’t know the right words to use but he used remixes and added beats to songs that would normally be difficult to dance to. My now husband and I didn’t want to leave the dance floor. There were plenty of times when we wanted a break from dancing physically but then another great song would come on so we just ended up staying on the dance floor. I even heard guests say they were getting some fresh air for a second and then the song would change and they changed their minds too and kept dancing. Honestly you couldn’t ask for a better DJ for your event. Such a talented and great guy!”

“A few days before our wedding, I got a message from Al saying our DJ had COVID and that they were going to send someone else. I was super bummed because I had loved our original pick (DJ Marcus) who did a fantastic job DJing our friends wedding in 2021. The replacement DJ (DJ Jose) called us right away to review all the details of the night with us. I was still hesitant, but was beginning to feel more comfortable during the conversation. On wedding day, DJ Jose was kind, professional, punctual, and ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT on the dance floor!! No one sat down for the entire night and guests are STILL raving about DJ Jose!
