Manny and his team were amazing. Before the wedding he made sure to ask if we wanted specific songs for different parts of the ceremony and reception. We didn’t have a ton of specific songs, but we made a list of music with the vibes we wanted. Manny took the list, ran with it, and really took care of us. The dance floor was packed all night! He even played Tagalog pop songs and managed sound for a Filipino folk dance group. We also loved the little details like the template for our photo booth photos, the lights for the dance floor, and our initials projected on the wall. We booked twinspin as our DJ and Photo Booths. DJ 4.5/5 We recently had our wedding and decided to hire Twin Spin Entertainment, which came recommended by our venue. While the owner, Young, was already booked, he introduced us to James, one of his experienced DJs. Our initial meeting with James went smoothly, and we felt confident moving forward with him and Twin Spin. The booking process was straightforward and easily managed through their website's client portal. The client portal also had very thorough questions such as laying out the specific songs for our ceremony, grand entrance, and first dance, etc. The client portal was also how we communicated which songs were on our do-not-play list, ceremony, dinner, and dancing. James arrived early to have everything set up and by the time our ceremony rolled around everything and everyone was ready to go. James did a great job both as an MC and DJ. While there were a couple of minor hiccups with timeline and announcements, he handled them well, keeping the flow of the event smooth. Since we had a lot of our older Asian guests, the dance floor wasn’t always packed, but we appreciated how James kept the energy up and mixed the music to appeal to everyone. The sound quality was great, and there were no major technical issues. All the microphones, speakers, and lights worked perfectly. Overall, we were very happy with Twin Spin and James, and we would definitely recommend them for any wedding or special event! Photo Booth 4.5/5 We knew we wanted to have a photobooth in our August 2024 wedding as it’s always a fun activity having attended previous weddings. Twin Spin offered this option along with their DJ services, and we selected them knowing that it would streamline and alleviate working with multiple vendors. We found their pricing reasonable after comparing other photobooth vendors. On the day of our wedding, the photobooth attendant came early to setup. She wrapped up early and our start and end time was 6-10pm which was a bit early than the original 6:30-10:30pm time. Overall the attendant was cordial and assisted our guests during use. There were slight miscommunications regarding meal and setup time, but otherwise our expectations were met. Twin Spin was able to explain and clarify this miscommunication and we provided feedback for communication for future clients. The photos turned out well, and we hope our guests took advantage of the service. The only feedback we received from our guests was that setup time was a bit slow, which we learned that it was the attendant’s first time setting up. Our vendor had good communication and responded quickly regarding our photobooth selection and receiving the photos.

Spencer is such an amazing DJ! I have only positive things to say about him. He is calm, organized, structured, kind, and professional. He is able to read the room and adjust accordingly. There were no awkward lulls at our wedding thanks to him. He kept a great flow to both our ceremony and reception. I have never seen so many people dance at a wedding! My friends aren't dancers, so the fact that he got all of them out there was amazing! We gave him a list of songs we liked, and he was able to choose great songs from there. He also kept the dance floor fun and upbeat. He was the most organized person at the wedding. He did the microphones and speakers for our friends who played the violin for the ceremony and the person ordaining. He also did the lighting (which was magical). I cannot even say in words what a great experience we had. All of our guests told us later that he was amazing too!

Richard was also happy to jump on calls with us to talk through our questions and hopes for our big day. I especially appreciated that Richard was able to play some German songs for some guests who had flown in from Germany, as that got even some of our older relatives on the dance floor. People were partying all night thanks to Richard! Richard catered to our wide age range of guests, and even gave us a couple of bonus closing songs that were the perfect conclusion to the night. Our guests LOVED the old r&b love songs during dinner, I loved seeing everyone’s faces when he’d play certain songs! The custom light add-ons are definitely worth it too! This review for Zeb (and the whole Sounds Elevated Team) is long overdue. Zeb is not only an incredible musician in his own right but plays the role of musical conductor with equal panache. A true “Jack of All Trades.” Some of the many hats he wore for our wedding include: -He played solo guitar for our ceremony -Lined up a jazz quartet for the happy hour -Setup the party lighting (party but classy) for the reception -Setup a photo booth for guests to take fun photos (a big hit btw) -DJ’d with a live accompaniment combo for the reception - stayed up way later than we asked him to, and DJ our afterparty (which was a VERY different vibe than the reception). He was hustling for easily 10 hours straight. And every single element he contributed to the festivities was top tier. My older cousin, a professional musician for many years, was blown away by the level of talent. It’s been almost two years since the wedding and we still get compliments about the entertainment. He and his team went above and beyond. Easily the best “value” for anything we spent money on for the wedding. I strongly recommend meeting with Zeb and gearing his philosophy/approach to weddings/events.

The whole team, from the lead singers to the sound and light techs, was amazing to work with. Every step of the way they were courteous, on top of the details, and available to hop on a Zoom or respond to an email with our venue and our wedding planner. They took it upon themselves to make sure power and sound were all taken care of *and* they even tried to make sure we had tenting for the outdoor wedding (it wasn't even their job) just to take a load off of our plate. I'd hire this band again and again, and, if they'll do it for our 5 or 10 year wedding anniversary. Thanks!

The Celebration DJ was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first interaction, they were easy to communicate with, highly organized, and clearly very experienced in their craft. On the day of the wedding, they delivered an excellent performance that kept our guests dancing all night long. They were fun, high energy, and really played to the crowd, spinning a groovy mix of tunes that had everyone moving. At a couple points, the order of our events had to be changed on the fly, but the DJ was able to seamlessly roll with the punches and suggest the best way to adjust the schedule. They also did a fantastic job as the MC, expertly directing all of our guests and keeping the night flowing smoothly. We couldn't have been happier with the Celebration DJ and would highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding. The virtual meeting with DJ Jeff went smoothly, and the shared Google Doc that Second Song provided to track the event details was intuitive and easy to use. Rob and his team helped us make custom cuts of our ceremony music at no additional cost. We also booked our uplights through their team, and they were beautiful. Not only could you select the color, but the lights could also be programmed to cycle through colors for more of a party vibe. I could not recommend DJ Jeff Collins more highly. He was professional and on time, and most importantly, had incredible energy. He hit all of our requests for the evening, both for the dinner portion of the night and the dance party afterwards. He worked seamlessly with our planner and made all of the right announcements at the right time, and a large part of the evening's success was due to his energy and enthusiasm. I feel like anything else would be a let down.” “What’s your band name? I have to follow them on Instagram.” “Pretty sure that was the best band I’ve seen in 20 years of weddings.” We had our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse, and by 20 minutes into the first set the band had amassed a crowd of passers-by who stopped to watch and listen from a nearby bridge and stayed all evening long. Logistically, The Cool Rulers made life easy. We had a number of special requests for our wedding and The Cool Rulers approved them without hesitation and executed them flawlessly. This included learning 3 new songs, one of which was to be sung by 2 of our friends. Charles & Co coordinated with our friends to send them a demo and arrange time for a quick rehearsal, all of which culminated in a “performance” that seemed as if it had been rehearsed for months. The even accommodated a specific request for how they were set up, leaving us an aisle to walk down and filling it in during a short break later in the evening. The Cool Rulers are immeasurably talented, and the perfect complement to that talent is their ability to set the tone, ride the energy, and deliver an absolutely perfect evening of music and dancing. We discovered and booked our DJ by doing "web form" on www.azbestdj.com while browsing for "Inland Empire and Orange County" DJs. We even got a "email quote and response" 20 minutes after our "web browsing" . Our wedding took place at a fantastic horse property that doubles as a wedding venue near Temecula, CA. Our assigned DJ went above and beyond—setting up a battery-powered ceremony system for our beautiful 20-minute outdoor ceremony overlooking the horses, hills, and vineyards in the distance. EVEN before ceremony started the DJ had preplanned our songs withi us and after consulting with us, we "upgraded" to have "2 DJ systems" at our wedding to go "no gaps in music" from Ceremony to reception that were over 500 feet apart. Daryl and the band were outstanding! Played super fun current pop favorites for the kids and lots of 70s funk for us Gen X party animals. HUGE talents here. Tons of horns for the bride's dancing pleasure. They rocked it! We had a blast and recommend highly!

Let's get to the point, shall we? There were so many involved in the planning process that we didn't know where to start. I skip to looking for our DJ process. I thought it would be easygoing but there are so many DJs to choose from. I asked a friend if he knew anyone and had mentioned of a wedding out in Redwood City where Taj had the crowd going. So we met with Taj and was a complete Godsend. Not only was he professional, he made my wife and I chuckle as he is a humorous person in good fashion. He also gave us a ton of ideas that made so much sense that we did not think about ourselves. We hired him on the spot and thanked him for his time. He was early and on time with his wonderful wife. He had already unloaded and was waiting on the staff! Fast forward to the reception, we had a wonderful time, my grandparents never dance and they outlasted almost everybody on the dancefloor! Wedding was a success, my wife and her guests were happy. Happy wife, happy life indeed! Thanks to Taj.

We found DJ Erick V on a FB wedding page and we’re so happy we did! He was quick to respond, he worked with our schedule, and had great packages to offer. We found it pretty difficult to find an English/Spanish DJ In fear of a DJ playing too much English or too much Spanish but DJ Erick V was on point. He played the perfect balance and I swear, everyone one of our guest touched the dance floor. He followed our schedule, our playlist request, and everything he threw in between was more than we can ask for. He was there on time and had everything set up accordingly. I also want to mention he was a FUN MC who got our guest to interact and created a lively vibe for our big day. Our venue was pretty big but his lights looked amazing around the room. If we had to do our wedding again, we would hire DJ Erick V all over again and recommend him to anyone.

The Lucky Devils Band absolutely made our wedding reception! From our initial phone call with Meredith, we knew we were in excellent hands. She took the time to thoroughly understand our vision and musical tastes, making thoughtful suggestions along the way. Communication was prompt, fun, and Meredith was so approachable throughout the planning process. On the big day, the band blew us away with their incredible talent and ability to perfectly execute our song requests, from jazz to oldies to classic rock. As musicians ourselves, we were so impressed by their skill level and experience and professionalism. During cocktail hour, two musicians played jazz, then they switched to rock mode for the reception. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!

Keith was the perfect DJ. Honestly! There is nothing that we would change about our wedding night, it was truly perfect. Keith is a class act professional who makes no compromise between quality and affordability. He values his clients and offers extraordinary service at an affordable price. I went in with high (but reasonable) expectations for our wedding night, and he definitely delivered above and beyond!! We had read other reviews of weddings that Keith had DJ’d where the clients were musicians and they had curated a specific type of music they wanted throughout the night, and he nailed it. I consider myself a little bit of an audiophile, so I listen to a wide range of music, and I can also attest to just how amazing Keith’s music selection was! Part of a DJ’s job is to get you excited to go out on the dance floor, and we were already excited before the dancing began, because we just knew Keith was going to kill it (spoiler alert: he did!). He even mixed together multiple songs at once and it was amazing! Keith kept the atmosphere alive all night and there was never a dead moment. Most of the people were up and dancing, even people who have never been willing to dance before! It takes a skilled DJ to do that. It was electric. We had had a negative experience with another DJ company that we spoke to before we decided to look to Nocturnal Cafe, but just from the first conversation with Keith we knew he was our DJ. Keith was incredibly respectful to us, he was patient and understanding throughout the whole process, and he worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were going to have the best night of our lives. His process with his clients is great and made us feel very comfortable. He does a great job of avoiding the typical eye-roll cheesy songs (unless you request it, of course) and he picks songs that suit well for what you’re looking for. We gave him some songs/artists/genres we would like to hear (and some to songs to avoid) but we ultimately wanted to just give him an idea of what we were thinking and for him to use it as a guide more than a ‘must’. We gave him creative freedom to just let him work his magic and boy, was it magic that came out of those speakers!

The singer Karlea was phenomenal and did an amazing job of keeping our guests engaged and entertained. The musicians were all courteous, professional, and exceptionally talented. They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. I highly recommend this group for your wedding.
