Hello! My name is Shaelyn Oathout. I am the self taught one woman show behind Shae’s Cakes, an in-home bakery based in Poland, NY. I’m so glad you’re here! Shae’s Cakes started early in 2020 as a hobby, but I quickly realized just how passionate I am about starting from scratch, and bringing people’s sweet dreams to life! I look forward to getting to know you, and helping you create tasty memories that will last a lifetime!

Owner Trisha is a formally trained interior designer turned self-taught cake artist. Her passion began after her own wedding to her husband, Travis, in 2009. After spending hours searching for a cake design for her own wedding, Trisha felt inspired by this delicious art form. Trisha decorated her first cake for fun and her new obsession began…Sugar & Slice creations tap into Trisha’s formal training as an interior designer and center on clean lines, elegant textures, and color. We are always looking for a new challenge and are continually investing in new training and technology to keep up with or stay ahead of currents trends.

Cakes by Iliyana creates luxurious boutique level cakes that we like to refer to as modern cake art! We have won several awards for our wedding cake creations and we pride ourselves on providing our clients with an exclusive design and an attentive experience. By pairing unique and delicious flavors with a whimsical design, our cakes will add an additional layer of joy and happiness to your event! We are located in the capital region of New York and we can not wait to create an edible piece of art that will become an incredible element of your special day!
