We got married at The Chapel on Sycamore in April and it was everything that we had hoped for! The chapel itself is gorgeous with the dark wood interior and stained glass, and the outdoor space in the spring was perfect for everything from photos to cocktail hour gathering. We had 200 guests and the space was accommodating. Lisa was with us to coordinate our day from the very start and was incredibly prepared, responsive, timely, and helpful in answering my many questions throughout the planning process. She met me at the Chapel to visit multiple times to look at the space as I was planning the event. We used Oakhurst Market, a preferred caterer, for our food and got many compliments (and loved the food ourselves!). We loved the location in Decatur near restaurants and bars for our guests and the ease of travel and proximity to the city and it was easy to book parking for our guests nearby with Lisa's assistance. I would highly recommend The Chapel on Sycamore as an excellent wedding/event venue with lovely and helpful staff. The pictures included are by OliviaRosePhotography.

We were one of the many couples who had our plans shifted due to COVID-19. Our original date was in October 2020, but due to multiple changes, my husband and I opted to downsize to a mini ceremony and family dinner. We planned to have a one year anniversary party to include the loved ones we couldn't during 2020. After so much stress in the original planning, we were overjoyed to find out that we were chosen as the couple to receive The Dottie's grand opening anniversary party. From the first phone call with Krista and Kingslea at The Dottie, I knew we had picked the right planning team for our belated reception! Even with it being a giveaway, I never once felt like we were a secondary client. Brides, you know it's a big risk to choose someone as your wedding planner, so let me reassure you, this is THE TEAM for you. Originally I thought could do it all myself, but I didn't know how much I needed a planner until I had a planner. Each step of the way, their team coordinated everything with our vendors so we could actually just be excited about the event. Our planner was attentive to special family dynamics and made our day-of event so much easier. I had full confidence that once I told her something, it would be handled with excellence. I can confidently say they are worth the investment! As for the venue, it is the best wedding venue I've seen. Having been in multiple weddings, including my own (before our anniversary party here), I know that the details matter. The culture of hospitality radiates from the structure of the venue itself to the attitude of the team members. I felt so welcomed and like they thought ahead about how to maximize our experience. Getting ready: The bride and groom suites are tailored for the needs of each group. For the bridal party they have a suite with: 1) lots of mirrors with natural daylight for making sure you feel 100% as you get ready; 2) a lounge with a mini kitchen (ex: perfect for a charcuterie station) for enjoying the down time; 3) a private bathroom that's just for the bride/bridal party including a shower. The suite was full of thoughtful details like an emergency sewing kit that saved us when we had a dress mishap 5 minutes before pictures. For the groom's suite they have a space with: 1) a lounge with large flatscreen TV for catching whichever big game is on during down time; 2) a mini kitchen for the groom's favorite snacks; 3) private bathroom (also with shower) just for the groom's party. There is an additional room where family can have their own space while getting ready or in down time between events. The big event: The main room is beautiful and a perfect blank canvas for your dream day! It holds up to 500 people and has very tall ceilings (over two stories tall). With our 125 guests, we felt very spaced out. The external walls have huge garage doors that can open for fresh air circulation (great for an event during any time, especially a hot GA summer day or a pandemic). The space is versatile and could easily be used for a ceremony and rearranged for the reception. The outdoor patio surrounding the space was great for pretty photos. We opted to have a live band which made it the ultimate fun party space with loved ones. All in all, I’d give 10/10 for this venue and their all star team. I will definitely look for ways to partner with them again in the future!

From the venue to the team, we loved everything about our experience with Daisy Hill. The outdoor and indoor parts of the venue made our ceremony and reception dreams come true. I cannot overstate enough just how amazing and easy it was to work with Flat Creek Country Club. We were drawn to the venue from the amazing pictures online (the views are even better in person), but had no idea that the real treasure here was Layna, and her amazing team of dream-makers. We immediately felt so at home with her, and she walked us through everything, making sure to check in with us on a regular basis. Weddings have a reputation for being stressful, but ours was the absolute complete opposite- we felt so safe in giving our ideas and plans to her, trusting it would all work out. We booked Flat Creek sight-unseen, having never even as much traveled to Atlanta together over a year ago (you can imagine how stressful that could have been), but Layna made the distance seem non-existent. Any question we had- she was always available. Everyone from the Banquet Team, the Chef, the servers and bartenders, the night group- even the groundskeepers were so unbelievably kind! They all worked together to make our literal dreams come true, and I could not recommend them enough! We were actually extremely sad and a little emotional leaving them, because they all absolutely became our family. I promise you, this venue will not disappoint. As breathtaking as the views are, the people are the real treasure, and it all starts with the amazingly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely great Layna. They will take even just a figment of an idea for your wedding, and help you create absolute magic. This was the easiest decision we've ever made, next to saying "I do!"

Where do I start ? First this review is long overdue! I couldn’t give a more glowing review for the Veranda’s staff and Lori Burnett, the coordinator/planner for our wedding. To say Lori is an excellent wedding coordinator/planner is really doing her an injustice. Lori was on point with every single aspect of our wedding. We were coming from out of state , which makes planning a wedding difficult to say the least. We had a few issues with our original caterer and had to switch it up virtually last minute and Lori was with us the entire time ensuring us everything would be perfect. She worked closely with all of our vendors to ensure the day was seamless! She had endless ideas that gave us the ability to have the look and feel that we were looking for on our special day. We went in hoping for the best but knowing , it’s virtually impossible to have everything go perfect on your wedding day. Thanks to Lori, the incredible staff and the vendors our day was absolutely perfect. Lori asked for a sort of report card of our day wondering what they could have done different or better and so on. Even this far out from that day I can not think of a single thing. Everything from our breakfast, made by the wonderful Ms Lavern to the last dance of the night ,was exactly how we wanted it down to the smallest details ! Lori really busted her butt the whole weekend and I’m sure in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. The Veranda was decorated beautifully, Lori was in super early getting everything ready the day of, coordinating the staff and vendors like an elite maestro preforming a flawless rendition of Mozart! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to the couple as well as the vendors. The ROOF also has an amazing view and was super fun to walk through and take photos. We had our wedding at the Wimbish House in April of 2024 and it was the most spectacular day of our lives! The venue itself is so lovely and well located in the city (near plenty of activity of hotels, restaurants, and entertainment for guests within walking distance) and does not require a lot of work to make it beautiful (the ballroom and parlors are exquisite). Karin was our wedding coordinator and she made the entire process easy and stress-free. She helped us with everything and made sure nothing slipped by during the planning. The staff is all incredible and they have such great connections with other vendors (every vendor we hired said they already had such great memories of events they worked at Wimbish and I can see why!). You cannot go wrong booking this venue!

Absolutely fell in love with this space! It is so large and is a pretty canvas to decorate to your taste with florals etc or can leave alone and still be beautiful. I especially loved how big it was so we didn’t need to flip any rooms. Audrey was great and easy to communicate with on questions with me and the vendors. The day of staff was super on top of everything and great to work with. We used the onsite catering which was so delicious!

My husband and I wanted a small wedding of 50 people, and Alex & the team at 101 Steak made all of our wedding dreams come true. Not only did they open the restaurant a little early for us so that we could have our ceremony in the private room, but they let us utilize the lounge area for a cocktail hour right afterwards so that the room could be flipped for the dinner to follow. We hired a DJ and a wedding coordinator who did the decorations and our day was EXACTLY what we wanted a more. It was an intimate ceremony and dinner reception, and our family & friends have still been raving about how good the food was! We were able to curate our own special dinner menu and drink menu for our guests - and everything was cooked to perfection. We even cleared out some of the tables for a little dancing at the end of the night. Alex and everyone at 101 Steak - THANK YOU for making our wedding day so special! We plan to come back every year on our anniversary for dinner.

When planning our wedding, we were trying to choose a location that was convenient for us but also pretty centrally located, since we had guests coming from all over the Metro area to attend as well as out of town guests. Once we settled on Marietta, we knew we wanted to look into GPB as our location. From the beginning the staff were communicative and easy to work with. GPB uses TripleSeat for communications and Calend.ly to schedule site visits which we loved - all your emails are in one place and you don't have to spend time on the phone trying to schedule a visit, you can just pick from available times. The staff are both professional and helpful throughout the whole process. The venue itself has a lot to recommend it! We had an expected attendance of about 100 people and the room felt comfortably full without feeling crowded. The bar line never got too long (shoutout to the super super nice bartenders) and of course the interior is a beautiful canvas for your event. Highly recommend working with this gorgeous venue!!
