Far Out Feeling

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Los Alamos, CA for additional fees

Meaghan here - I’m the one from which you’ll hear a lot of “Fuck yeah!!!” and “You guys look so hot!” My inspiration comes from our lord and savior, Janis Joplin, and my style is free movement and honesty. Howdy! I'm Brendon, a quiet Mid-Westerner turned East-Coast loud-mouth who happens to have a knack for photography, editing, graphic illustration, and all things creative. My background comes from shooting fashion shows and exclusive events for BFA.com around NYC, which made me appreciate the avant-garde.

We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We perhaps didn’t consider how crucial this feeling of comfort was, but when you think about, you do spend a tremendous portion of your wedding day with your photographers. Meaghan and Brendon felt like friends, which made even the parts of the wedding that we don’t like (posing!) feel easy, natural, and fun. Meaghan and Brendon were incredibly responsive, from first to last. They always got back to us the day we had a question, and even weeks after our wedding, they were responding to our technical difficulties within minutes. And the photos themselves turned out great! Again, you’ve probably seen evidence of this already. We cannot wait to print them, frame them, and, in all likelihood, post them relentlessly to our Instagram stories. A huge thank you to Meaghan and Brendon, who we recommend whole-heartedly.

We are all here for you. All your family, your friends and I (yes, me too!) are here to honor you on your wedding day! As excited as I am to get to the dancefloor with you guys, I know a lot of planning goes into making your day special. As your photographer, I’ve been to a few weddings and am just a call or text away from any insight you might want. I approach every wedding with the same mentality, how can I tell the story of today in the most real way possible? I’ve found the best way to do that is to just be me. I allow myself to be present and listen to the stories unfold throughout the day.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were so pleased with using Gabe for our wedding photography. His work speaks for itself - beautiful compositions and use of light, and the ability to capture quick moments and candid shots. I felt super comfortable with Gabe which was very important to me because I'm camera-shy and awkward. He was very down to earth and easy to work with. Also, though he is based in PA he traveled to NY for our wedding and did an amazing job. We even travelled to PA for an engagement session, which I initially had no plans on doing - but those photos came out great as well and we had a lot of fun doing those to get warmed up. Strongly recommend Gabe, he's the best!

Marla Manes Photography

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $5,500
  • Serves Los Alamos, CA for additional fees
  • Offer

Hi, I’m Marla, and I’ve had a camera in my hands since I could hold one. Travel is what first sparked my love of photography– I felt the need to document every gorgeous landscape in my sights across Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and here in the States. Once I started taking portraits, though, everything shifted, and I became obsessed with documenting love. I value photos as memories, and they’re extremely precious to me. To me, the ability to freeze a moment in time so you’ll always be able to return to that beauty and joy is nothing short of magic.

Seriously where to begin with how incredible Marla is as an incredible and artistic photographer, professional and organized business owner, and welcoming and beautiful person. She immediately makes you feel comfortable talking with her and she puts a ton of effort into getting to know you and your story. She cares so deeply about her couples and goes above and beyond with client experience before, during, and after your session with her. You spend a ton of time with your photographer, and this is who you want as your cheerleader, your confidant, and your friend on wedding/elopement day. Her eye for light is inspiring and you never again will say "I'm so awkward in front of the camera" because her posing is effortless and genuine. She brings out the best in you and your partner and your connection. Candid moments, deep emotion, and joyful forever memories! Marla is the photographer you've been looking for!

Karina Dopp Designs Jackson Hole Photographer

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500
  • Serves Los Alamos, CA for additional fees

A few years ago I was in your shoes, except, I didn't get the images of my dreams. I got a photographer for our wedding day, and I had no idea what I was doing. On the day of my wedding, my photographer made me feel stressed and uncomfortable with all the posing and lack of communication. And when I got my images back, I wasn't happy with the results and there wasn't anything I could do about it. That's why I'm here for YOU! Because your wedding is more than just a day with some photos.

Where do I start?! Karina is incredible at what she does. We were a little overwhelmed with coming up with the timeline for the day, and which poses at which spots, and even the ceremony start time. But she was a huge help with all of that!! Her knowing where the sun would be at certain times of day, thinking of cool shots to do and where. Her knowledge about photography, creativit, and the familiarity with Grand Teton NP was just so invaluable. Neither myself or my (now) wife are big picture takers. But Karina really helped a ton with coming up with poses and directing us on how to stand, where to stand etc. We started off awkward, but within a few minutes she had us fully comfortable. It was such a perfect day and the sneak peeks she sent were absolutely incredible and fun to look through. We are so freaking excited and cannot wait to see the rest! She also did an Astro photography sesh at the end with us which was bada and so worth it!!

We are a mom/son team that prides ourselves on being storytellers capturing authentic, emotive, genuine moments shared on your special day. We strive to document the major memories and moments in-between,creating a visual narrative that couples can cherish & reminisce for a lifetime.

Where to start? During the first phone call with Sarah, even after we told her we were interviewing multiple photographers, she offered us pointers and advice to consider when choosing our photographer, not her as the photographer, but OUR photographer. From the beginning she wanted to ensure that we had the best fit for us. She went above and beyond by coming to our venues prior to the wedding to "get the feel" of what she would need to capture the perfect moments. On the day of the wedding (when it was pure chaos) she adapted quickly, efficiently and went with the flow. Sarah and Ben are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and have a wonderful sense of humor. All of the photos they took are amazing and very unique. The emotion captured by each photo brought us to laughter or tears, but both in a good way! We could not have picked a better photographer, and we cannot thank them enough for all they did!

Heyyyyy! I'm Amber Kirchner, a Phoenix based wedding photographer for couples who want fun and authentic wedding photography. I believe in marrying your best friend, laughing until you cry, and capturing the genuine moments of your wedding day. I am there to be a partner in the planning process, get pumped about the personal touches of your day, and help you feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera. When I am not making magic with rad couples, I can usually be found hanging out with my husband (and bff), Josh, and our little one, Juniper, getting my boots dirty, or snuggling with my pups.

Awarded Best of Zola
I've had the privilege of working with Amber on multiples occasions. Sometimes I am the subject and other times it's a shared client. She is amazing to work with either way. I am awkward in pictures, but she knew exactly what to say to get me to lighten up for natural smiles and comfortable poses. Working along side her is just as wonderful, she knows her stuff and is a true professional. Every picture I've received has been perfection. Looking forward to working together again.

I love mexican food, cats (and dogs!), and iced coffee. Books are my best friends, and I also double as a yoga teacher when I'm not doing photography related things. I have a weird obsession with fuzzy socks and I prefer movies over TV shows. Now on to the typical things you want to know about my journey in photography...I got my first camera in 2009 and basically haven't put it down since! I studied photography at Savannah College of Art and Design and started my freelance photography career when I graduated in 2016!

Awarded Best of Zola
If I had to describe Cayleigh in one word, it would be fantastic! When I was look for a photographer I really wanted someone who would mesh well with my husband as he is not very photogenic, or should I say camera shy. Cayleigh worked very well with him and got him to come out of his shell! We did and Engagement shoot, 10 hours for our wedding, and will be doing some maternity photos here in a couple months as well! If you are looking for someone who is friendly, and gets creative with any type of person she is your girl!

I’m so happy you are here!! I started my business 5 years ago, and photographing weddings has forever been my dream. I’ve always loved weddings and this industry because of what it means. Weddings are full of beautiful moments, family, happy tears and so much love. You can find me crying right alongside you, sharing this moment with you through parent dances and speeches. I love the chaos and joy of a wedding day and the importance of capturing those moments is never missed on me.

No matter if you’ve been modeling for ten years or never stepped foot in front of a camera before, she is your girl. Over my time modeling for Serena and continuing on to work with her, I’ve gotten to see how she is with many clients. Not only is she professional but she is fun and knows how to make someone feel comfortable in front of the camera. Serena really is an individual that cares about her clients. She doesn’t just take pictures, she takes care and captures moments that are so important to people and that they’ll remember forever. Hello! I’m Savannah, the photographer behind Savannah Rose Photography. Photography started out as a fun hobby, but when I was 16 I decided to take a film class in high school and that’s when I realized “this is it”. I have been able to be a full time photographer for 8+ years. I love being able to use my passion for art and photography to help you create uniquely beautiful memories that you will enjoy for years to come. I am definitely guilty of being a bit of a perfectionist which ensures that I do everything I can to give you the best photography experience, whether it be portrait session or on your wedding day.

Savannah captured my surprise engagement photos and I couldn't have been more happy with how they turned out. She went above and beyond the entire time and even took time before our shoot to scout out different locations that she thought would work well so we could use all of our time we had with her more efficiently. She also thought of everything and got my fiancé and I a picnic to enjoy as she knew we might be hungry during out shoot and we even utilized that to get some fun photos that are now some of my favorites. She made us feel so comfortable during our time and we loved working with her. Also, she took so many photos and got them back to us insanely quick. She was so amazing that I will be trying to come up with reason to use her again in the future.

Hi! I'm Emily! Mom to 3 kids, two rats named Frodo and Sam and a bearded dragon. I like my couples like I like my pets - just slightly unconventional. Dress fluffer, timeline-keeper, family wrangler, prone to squealing over a perfect ray of sunshine- I'll dance with your grandma, cry during your vows, and make you laugh at inappropriate moments. You're a badass and deserve the space to express yourself and your love EXACTLY as you are, no holds barred. Say goodbye to not knowing what to do with your hands, fake smiles in photos, and stiff posing that *just doesn't feel like you*. LGBTQIA+ and looking for a safe vendor? I gotchu!

Emily photographed some of our biggest life events over the past year. We booked her for our wedding right after finding out we were pregnant so she was able to capture our engagement photos, maternity photos, and in-home family pictures welcoming our baby all leading up to our wedding in September. Emily was able to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera with natural poses but she was also able to capture lots of candid moments for our wedding. We love her bright editing style which fit so well with the vibes of our wedding! Sometimes our emails didn’t like to work with her gallery distribution site, but she was always willing to try-try again to get us our photos!

Our approach is centered around you and your relationship. We curate a bespoke experience that is dedicated to originality. Our natural posing technique emphasizes movement and genuine emotions, ensuring that the authenticity of your wedding day is beautifully present in every photograph.

Working with Sara Bishop for my late-September wedding in Scottsdale was an absolute dream. I was initially drawn to Sara’s fun and funky aesthetic and her ability to capture candid, genuine emotions over stiff, posed photos. That was exactly what I wanted—and she delivered a million times over! Looking through my photos feels like is like reliving my wedding all over again. Sara managed to capture every special guest and moment in ways that showcased their personalities and the incredible vibe of our day. Every time I look at them, I find a new favorite—it’s going to be so hard to decide which ones to display because there are just so many amazing options! Beyond the photos, Sara was a joy to work with every step of the way. Before the wedding, she sent proactive emails asking for our family shot list and other photo requests, which put me at ease that nothing would be missed. On the day itself, she brought a detailed timeline and kept things moving quickly—it was a very hot day so we were hoping to get our outdoor photos done as quickly as possible and Sara made that happen. During the reception, Sara and her assistant blended seamlessly into the party, capturing all of the energy without being intrusive. Sara delivered our highlights promptly, and the full gallery arrived about six weeks later. Her website offers some great options for purchasing prints, which I can’t wait to take advantage of in the new year. If you’re looking for wedding photos that are full of fun, candor, and raw emotion, I cannot recommend Bish enough!

I've been photographing weddings for over ten years and I love it even more than when I started. I consider it an honor to be there for so many special moments in people's lives and find something unique and new with every wedding day. I am punctual, flexible, and attentive, helping to bring a calm and focused vibe to your wedding day.

My husband, Rob, and I have been married for a little over a month now and since then, we've reflected on everything from our Sonoma wedding -- all the parts we loved about, things we wish we could change, relatives we wished we didn't invite... but above all else, we are over the moon to have had the privilege of sharing our day with Maria. From our very first intro phone call, Maria was everything we were looking for in a photographer. She was friendly, direct, professional, and had an amazing sense of humor that made us feel comfortable immediately. She had wonderful way of sharing her ideas and thoughts without pushing a specific style or direction on to us that made us feel confident in our decisions. I recall during the conversation that she had been the only vendor to have asked Rob what he envisioned for our big day, what he wanted, how we met, and how he would describe our style. Though small, that really stood out to us and during the call, Rob and I looked at each other and with a collective 'yeah, let's do this' and booked her immediately. We never though an engagement session would be in the cards for us, but Maria took us out of our comfort zone and gave us a day in Point Reyes we will never forget. I look at our engagement photos basically on a weekly basis and think about how far Rob and I have come from that day, but to also remember what an awesome day that was getting to know Maria and feeling comfortable in front of her camera. If you're like me and feel like an engagement session is too extragravant or not a must-have, I urge you to reconsider. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know Maria, feeling good with our poses, learning our angles (trying to, at least), and honestly, is a really fun thing to do together amongst all the planning. As our wedding was in Sonoma in October, there was threats of power outages (thankfully, we were all clear) and Maria had texted me a few days prior to share encouragement and let me know it was all going to be okay. I was so moved by that and it meant so much to have her looking out for us. On the day of our wedding, Maria was everything and we could not imagine that day without her there. She made us both calm and grounded amidst the chaos and nerves of the day, never losing sight at how big of a moment this was and made us, our families, and friends all feel so beautiful. This woman, though, does not stop. Shortly after our wedding, Sonoma was once again under the threat of more power outages (insert expletive about PG&E here). As Maria lives near the area, her family had to evacuate. Before I could even reach out, she let me know that the evacuation would not delay her process and had all of our photos everything backed on to a hard drive. I mean! I can't even. Our photos came out stunning, from our pre-ceremony shots, to dancing photos and everything in between. Our pre-ceremony portrait session was honestly such a highlight from the day and I am so glad she suggested doing a first look (seriously, DO IT!) because the lighting was magic and it was a blessing to have the time to do it all before the reception began. These photos are memories we will cherish forever and ones I can't wait to show our future family (I'm not normally this sappy, but this is seriously how talented Maria is). Since the wedding, Rob and I have loved every minute looking back on it all but more than once we've asked - Can we hang out with Maria again? Thank you for everything :)

I'm a born and raised Michigander living out my coastal dreams in Southern California. I've always been passionate about photography. I've been behind a camera since 2010! I love spending sunsets with my clients and capturing their love and joy. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me exploring new restaurants, spending time with family and friends or curled up with my rescue pup, Huxley and a good book.

Athena was a dream to work with! She was our wedding photographer and went above and beyond to give us a great experience. And the photos came out gorgeous! I am a plus-size woman and Athena is a safe photographer for big people to work with - she made me feel valued and shot me beautifully. One hundred percent recommend her. If she was still living in our area, I’d be finding a bunch of other reasons to have her photograph us some more.

Born and raised in Maine, I dream of one day retiring there by the sea, like a real life Miss Rumphius. But until then, I live just outside of Boston with my husband and our three cats. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, but we waited more than a decade before saying our own vows. Sometimes (okay, often) I eat cake for breakfast, so you can always count on me to help taste test yours. If I'm not photographing people in love, I'm probably enjoying a glass (bottle) of champagne on the couch or planning my next adventure. I believe everything is better by the ocean and you should never wait to explore the world.

We found Kendra on Instagram (yes, Instagram!) and instantly fell in love with her style. She is so personable and made us feel like ourselves in front of the camera, which included lots of giggles and following us around while we adventured for our engagement shoot. We picked Kendra as our wedding photographer for a lot of reasons, but initially because we loved her natural, bright and romantic aesthetic. As soon as we started working with Kendra, it was like we had been friends for a long time. She made us feel special and knew exactly what to say to capture our emotions and love for one another in the way that we expressed it, which sounds like a no brainer, but it can be challenging to feel "normal" when a new person is in front of you and taking your picture! In addition to being an incredible photographer, we turned to Kendra for her opinion and advice in some of our wedding decisions that we were having trouble making. Kendra gladly and professionally provided us with her input and even sent us some photos of examples of things we were considering that she had previously photographed so we had a visual. On the day of our wedding, from the moment Kendra arrived, she ran the show. I was so excited to see her and felt like she was a wedding guest that had arrived, but even though we developed an excellent rapport, Kendra meant business and was ready to do her job, so she got the ball really rolling. Shortly after her arrival, tension started to grow as we became closer and closer to the time of the ceremony and things didn't go exactly as we had planned them. Kendra had our backs and helped us to solve as many problems as we could, and make the best of the others that we had to move on from. This would be described under going "above and beyond the call of duty"! Kendra was there for us as our incredible photographer, but she wore many hats that contributed to the success of our wedding day. You should select Kendra as your wedding photographer if you want someone who is calm and personable, while delivering natural, bright and romantic photos. We are so grateful to Kendra for our beautiful photos and all of her help in making our day be a success!!

I've been photographing weddings since 2019, and went full time in 2020. Helping people feel confident and beautiful is such a fulfilling part of this job, and being the go to on the day of your wedding is such a thrill- there's nowhere else I'd rather be! (Except maybe on a coffee date with my toddler- but thats beyond the point lol)

Awarded Best of Zola
Corah is absolutely amazing. One day before our reception, we found out we had COVID-19 and had to cancel. We were able to have our reception at a different location, but with very short notice. She rescheduled, had another meeting with me, and helped me figure out times to set everything for. I knew already how wonderful she was just going through this process. The day of our reception, she was beyond helpful. She helped me with my dress, she found the bustles, she even stacked my cake to tier it when everyone else was afraid to! She made us feel so relaxed during the pictures, at one point we even forgot we were taking them. We had a lot of fun even though we were all freezing! My husband and my family usually dread taking pictures, but they all had so much fun and loved working with Corah. Although this was my first time meeting her in person, she acted as a friend by calming my nerves and making us feel comfortable, not just for the pictures but for our reception too. The pictures were BEYOND my expectations!! Some of the pictures I couldn't even believe were us, it looks like she took them from a magazine. I can't even narrow down my top 5 favorite pictures. I don't really have the words to describe how blown away I was while looking through the pictures for the first time. Corah is an amazing person, and photographer.

I’m a Colorado-based wedding and elopement photographer, and I shoot everywhere from Europe to locally in Denver! My favorite thing about photography is capturing the candid “in-between” moments, real emotions, and when people bring their dogs to their shoots. I work with my clients to create memories that last beyond their wedding day, and deliver photos that capture the fun, romantic and timeless moments so you can re-live them for years to come.

Kelsey is an incredibly talented photographer - she truly "sees" the subject of the photo. She understands their energy, personality, and their comfort (and discomfort) zones. Kelsey has the ability to capture these special moments in time in a photo, that when revisited/looked at after the event, take you RIGHT back to that moment. She is artistic, professional, and consistent with her art and business. She is always exactly where you need her to be, and extremely reliable. She puts the client at ease, even when being in front of a camera is not the most comfortable experience for most people! She is organized in her approach before, during and after the event but never too pushy or overbearing. She listens, observes, and performs at a very high level. Working with Kelsey was a dream, and I feel thankful to have worked with her. I believe the photographer is the most important vendor during the "wedding" process (engagement, wedding, etc.) and I struck gold with Sunbeam!!

Like with anything I do, I’ve put much heart, work and energy into photography. Yet, the most rewarding part are still the emotions, and happy messages I get from my clients. Nothing charges and empowers me more. On your wedding day, you shouldn't have to worry, cause I am there to help you in every way possible. I make sure your dress is all nice and fluffed in every picture, that there is nothing in your teeth, I catch every fly away and I am there to be your hype girl.

Grace was an absolute gem of a human on the day of my wedding and leading up to it. I can't get over how stunning the photos are just from the sneak peek gallery. She has such an eye for unique shots and is amazing at directing you as well as your overly-stimulated new husband. We coordinated a ton of surprise aspects and were able to pull them off with Grace's help. She also ended up fixing boutonnieres, ensuring my hair looked amazing before each shot, and worked so well with our videographer, planner and all other vendors. I can't wait to see the full gallery and can't recommend her enough!

Welcome to "We Do Weddings," where love meets artistry, and moments are forever preserved. We're Jared and Quinn, not just business partners, but a couple who share a deep passion for capturing the most cherished memories of your special day. Our journey into the world of wedding photography and videography began as a shared dream—a dream that brought together our love for storytelling, our appreciation for timeless elegance, and our fascination with the candid, unscripted moments that make every love story unique.

We had our engagement photos taken by We Do Weddings and had a great experience. My wife and I weren't set on a good location, but Jared and Quinn had a couple of suggestions and Freestone Park turned out perfect. They also arrived early and had a couple spots in mind to shoot at, which I really appreciated since it was a warm day and that expedited the process. The shoot was casual and surprisingly fun. They worked quickly but we never felt rushed. They gave great direction (including some pictures of what they were looking for at times) which turned out great. We just got the photos back and my wife and I were blown away. They turned out beautifully and we are so happy with them. The entire experience was a joy and the end result was exactly what we were hoping for.

We are Nadia & Gunnar. We love being outside. We met during our early years in college on our school swim team and had a few photography classes together. It was through our mutual love of photography that we started dating.  Fast forward 9 years we are now married!!!   We are both passionate with two diverse backgrounds: Nadia in fine art and Gunnar in journalism/documentary film making. When it comes to shooting we feel we are blessed to be able to pursue what we love together. We are all about what’s real; capturing life’s small (and large!) moments.

I LOVE our engagement photos so much ! Nadia did our engagement photos in Central Park, NYC. I was so nervous because it was raining but her attitude was so positive and calmed me down instantly :) during the shoot , she was patient and helped us feel more comfortable. She helped direct some poses because we are awkward (LOL) and caught some really nice candid shots . Bottom line is that I couldn’t have asked for better photographer !! I receive so many compliments on the engagement photos , some look like they’re straight from a magazine :) thank you , nadia !! You’re the best ! :) here them, you won’t regret it !
