Q: How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning with a shorter time frame.

Q: Will you edit all our pictures?

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Q: How long will it take to see our pictures?

My turnaround time varies by season. A sneak peek of about 50 photos is provided within 3 business days of your special day. Typically, you’ll be able to view all of your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding.

Q: How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 70 to 120 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Q: Do you have insurance?

Absolutely! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Q: Are you licensed to work in Red Lodge, MT?

I am! The city of Red Lodge in Montana requires businesses like mine to hold a local business license. I make sure to follow all local laws.

Q: What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In my 7 years of experience as a wedding photographer I’ve never had to implement my substitute photographer(s). In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant.

Q: What are your backup practices for photos?

Very thorough! There are at least 2 copies of every photo since the very moment of origination. I shoot with 2 cameras and both have dual card slots. The moment I get home I transfer the original (raw) photos to 2 "working" hard drives. After I deliver the photos to you I also save everything (raws and edited photos as well as all of our docs) to 2 "archive" hard drives.

My goal is to deliver photos that will FEEL like you in all aspects, I'd be thrilled to capture your special day! I focus on all the iconic moments AND the heartfelt/tearful moments in between. I've been a photographer for 13 years and have loved every minute of it. This is my full time career and I'm very dedicated to it. I'm very helpful and organized, I will take care of you! The number one thing that sets me apart is I use multiple editing color profiled (Warm & Earthy, Bright & Airy, True to Life, etc). I will edit in any color profile you choose, because your wedding photos should represent YOU! I am super accommodating and love to help anywhere I can. I'm essentially a wedding planner and have all the best connections with local vendors. A thorough wedding day photo timeline is also included! Pricing is based on hours of coverage. The first thing I'll do is put together your wedding day timeline to help you visualize how your day will play out! If you're looking for a wedding photographer in Montana, Julie is the one. She’s incredibly talented, not only with photography but also with planning and organization. Julie is honestly the BEST. She photographed our wedding and not only is she out-of-this-world talented, she has the sweetest, kindest energy and made us feel SO comfortable and so loved in front of the camera. Julie exceeded our expectations. We felt like we had the best photographer in Montana, and honestly we did. Julie was kind, patient, extremely professional, and worked hard to make sure every special moment was captured. She had amazing communication from the start, including video calls to understand our desires, regular email communication, and set up a written plan of exactly who and what we wanted photographed. I was most impressed when we took the family portraits. In the moment, it’s such a chaotic scene with so many different getting distracted and wandering around, yet she was efficient and was able to get everyone’s photographs complete within a short amount of time. She self-directs and kept herself on schedule, so all I had to do was be a bride and enjoy my day knowing I had full confidence in her. When we received our photos, I was in awe of how beautiful they are. We are so lucky to have had Julie and I 100% recommend her to any bride.
