Mirage and Light Photography

Long Beach, CA

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,600

Photography is my creative dream come true and it is so incredibly special to be able to capture memories that other people will love and cherish for many, many years. Around high school, I found out for myself how important these memories were. Not just the ones I was creating currently but the ones that I couldn’t get back. I would look back on these photos and think, "I remember how happy I was that day." "Aww, my little brother was so tiny then!" Or even, "What was I thinking when I wore that outfit??" These little snippets of time carried such a significance for me that I wanted other people to feel that way about their memories, too.

Amanda has brought my vision to life and captured timeless memories of our wedding. What sets her apart from other photographers is her unique style and professionalism. Our photos have even been selected by Southern California bride! Besides the beautiful photography, she made us feel very special by surprising us with little Polaroid pics during the wedding, a very cool retro photo viewer, personalized box with the photo flash drive and lots of other unique gifts, which felt very special and thoughtful.

With Julia

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Planner
  • Offers 5 services
  • Starts at $3,000

Based out of Los Angeles, CA, With Julia is an expert wedding planning business that covers events across California and destination locations as well. Julia founded her planning business based on two passions: her love of creativity and her love of human connection.

Awarded Best of Zola
Julia had great communication with our team from initial inquiry to after the wedding. She was so on top of her game, which is so appreciated as a vendor. We never felt like we were constantly reaching out to her for information, she was typically ahead of our questions. Our team set up a champagne tower, which required specific planning of certain elements to create the vision the couple was looking for. One element had a specific timeframe that we had to work within and Julia made that so easy to work into the timeline. We're really looking forward to having the opportunity to work with her again!

Sarahi Photo

Long Beach, CA

  • Starts at $3,200

My name is Sarahi. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Since a child, I loved photographing with old polaroids and disposable cameras.. My family used to complain about the 100's of pictures I captured and how many rolls of film I used. Now, I look back at pictures from 10+ years ago, and see the beauty of "stopping time" in photos and keeping them forever. I see how it brings happiness to the people around me and myself. Nothing makes me happier than people looking back at precious memories. I can't wait to extend this experience to you and create an everlasting memory that you can carry for years to follow.

Awarded Best of Zola
Choosing photography was one of the most important vendors for our special day. Sarahi Photo was the best choice for us. We knew she was the one when we had our consultation call. She preps you for your wedding and provides great information. The wedding was smoother because of the photo team! Everyone was great and the pictures came out beautiful! Also the engagement session is complimentary, so accept it! The engagements made us excited for the wedding and took the stress off the wedding. The engagement photos for beautiful as well. She captured our love!

Kelly has been a full time wedding photographer since 2016 and has been published in Ceremony Magazine, Wedding Chicks, Inspired By This, Loverly and Ruffled Blog and numerous fashion editorial magazines. Ultimately, she ended up in the corporate world as a litigation specialist and nearly a decade into her career, she accepted that her true passion was in the arts. Kelly is a mother, wife and enjoys being out in the fresh air and sunlight and traveling anywhere.

Awarded Best of Zola
We have always LOVED working with Kelly. She is a wonderful person and photographer, and I can't recommend her enough. Kelly has taken our engagement photos, wedding photos, maternity, newborn, and family photos as our son got older. It has been such a blessing for our family to have her be able to document our lives so beautifully. She takes time and we've never felt rushed, and her ability to capture emotions is unparalleled. We love her work, her incredible eye for color and light, and have never once been less than absolutely thrilled with our experiences with her during the photography sessions and especially with the photos after. Her photography is just incredible, and she has a special way of making us feel comfortable whenever we work with her. If I went back and had to do it all again, I'd call Kelly every time. Kelly was instrumental in my wedding planning process, an ear to listen and to bounce ideas off of. The day of, I don’t feel like she ever missed a moment. She captured everything I could have thought of and more. I will treasure these moments she captured for the rest of my life.

Kristina Lee Photography

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Photographer
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,700

Born in the desert (AZ Baby!) and relocated to the sea. I firmly believe that a good day starts with a cup of coffee and ends with glass of red wine. I own more jewelry than I do clothes and in my opinion, too much gold does not exist. My biggest passion will always be photography. I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a little girl – I would even set up “stylized shoots” in my family’s living room that consisted of sheets pinned to the wall, my friends and fake flowers (embarrassing, but I’m not kidding!). I strive for those editorial, Vogue-like shots, but I really live for those private, in-between moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
After being engaged for 2 years without any real wedding plans confirmed, my fiancé and I finally found a venue and set a date, 2 months out. With a short window to find vendors, the photographer was going to be the most critical. I was using Zola for general wedding inspo & invitations, so I did a quick search for photographers and came across Kristina Lee Photography. I didn’t have much time to contemplate, I had to make decisions quickly. I reached out to Kristina and scheduled a call with her the very next day. My first question was to make sure she was available on our wedding date…she was. We got to talking and she was extremely personable and easy to talk through the details of our wedding. It was a bonus that she had shot at our venue previously and she knew all the great spots for amazing photos. On the day of our wedding, Kristina fit right into my bridal party. We chatted all things Scandoval, while taking amazing pictures of our entire bridal party including our furbaby, Carlos. My fiancé and I never took engagement photos, so we didn’t really know what to expect when taking our post ceremony photos. Kristina directed us and knew exactly how to capture the most amazing moments of our day. She made us feel comfortable, sexy and so in love. All of our photos came out amazing! She sent us a few photos in a couple days and we were able to download the entire collection within 8 weeks. I am so happy that we had the opportunity to work with Kristina. She was professional, shot amazing photos and we had fun working with her! Thank you Kristina for capturing the best moments of our wedding day. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Kristina for photo shoots in the future.

Jaycee Beauty

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Beauty professional
  • Team of 4
  • Starts at $150

I have been a professional freelance makeup artist for 4 years now. I also worked at Sephora for 2 years as a makeup artist, and earned my Esthetician license before that in 2017. I have always been an artist at heart but did not touch makeup until I was 18 years old! But thankfully my love and talent for art and painting easily transferred over to makeup artistry, and I'm very thankful that I can encourage my creativity while making people feel beautiful on their important days of life.

Jaycee has done my makeup on a few occasions now, including a group family portrait and a couple special events/occasions. When I do my own makeup it just never turns out quite right. My eyebrows are slightly off or the makeup settles into my lines and wrinkles, making them more pronounced, rather than less. She has the magic touch and I’ve loved the result every time. I’ve recommended her to at least a dozen people, probably more.

I live in Long Beach with my husband, and our beautiful dog-daughter Rita. If I'm not photographing my incredible clients, I'm watching any entertainment I can, from the latest HBO shows or movie releases. But, there's nothing better than drinking a beer and laughing at some quality reality television if you ask me! I also love reading while drinking coffee in the morning, but nothing tops hanging with my friends and family, enjoying some drinks and sharing some laughs.

Such a pleasure to work with Kathy! She is on top of everything as works as hard as the wedding planner to make sure everything goes smoothly and that all the must-have photos are captured. She is very organized both before the event and day off. While being on top of things she still manages to have a laid back personality and blends into the background so you barely remember she has a camera all up in your face. haha. Plus, the photos came out Beautifully!! She captured our love and our special day so well. We will cherish her photos for years to come. Highly recommend!

Hi you guys, my name's Natalie, & I'm so glad you're here! I’m a joy-filled, Southern California surfer girl who is in love with capturing weddings.  My style? It’s timeless, romantic, adventuresome, & personal. I’m dedicated to capturing fine elegance + raw beauty all the while keeping it real + being authentic. Your job is to be in love & live in that excitement with each other. My job is to make it easy + enjoyable for you two to be yourselves, 100%, as I frame and capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments in a way that only my mind can. Congratulations to you both! Looking forward to getting to know each other! xx Natalie

You always picture how your wedding will be. The amazing feeling you will have to see everything you envisioned come together into one beautiful day. How much fun you will have getting ready in the morning with your best friends, sisters, and momma’s. And the love in your Husbands eyes when he see’s his future wife walking down the aisle. You picture the beauty of the day both visually and emotionally, and how you will cherish those memories forever. Perhaps one of the most import jobs on your wedding day is given to who you entrust in capturing those moments. I met Natalie through work. I am a wedding coordinator, and I had reached out to her when I started working in the area. I was in awe over her talent, and straight away felt a connection to how she captured such pure and beautiful moments. I knew after meeting her that she would one day be my wedding photographer! Our wedding day was everything that I could of ever asked for. It was such a incredible day with so much love and beauty. Natalie absolutely blew my already very high expectations out of the water. She is so good at what she does. Natalie made taking all of our photos so much fun. She knew when to allow us to have space and be in the moment, and when to direct and take charge. You want to be able to get caught up in the moment on your wedding day and not have to be the one worrying about who to take photos with or what needs to be captured next. She did such a wonderful job at making sure we got all the shots we needed, but allowing us to enjoy and have fun with all of them. From standing on chairs, to driving up hills, to dancing with us on the dance floor Natalie did whatever it took to get the most raw and sincere footage of our most special day. My husband and I cry every time we look through our wedding album and that is a huge thanks to Natalie Schutt Photography.

The Grand Event Center

5.0

LONG BEACH, CA

  • Indoor & outdoor

Built on a 40+ year legacy. We are a family-oriented team creating once in a lifetime experiences for our guests. Our 65+ talented, energetic, and professional team members produce over 2,000 unique events every year.

The Grand was perfect (and affordable). It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of meeting a variety of guest needs. The team was accommodating, gracious, and a relief to work with for this stressed bride. Any time I had a question, they were quick, thorough, and helpful. The space was beautiful, and their team went out of their way to make sure it matched my dreams. It was so nice to have so many things wrapped up in one package. I was also very impressed with the food. Guests have not stopped commenting on how good it was, and they have praised the presentation. Making sure that guests with allergies had safe food they could enjoy was also a high priority for me, and The Grand made that so easy. It wasn't knock-off food either, it was real, delicious meals that fit my and my guests' needs. I would definitely recommend this event center to other couples.

Julio Paredes Films

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Videographer
  • Storytelling style

Story Driven Wedding Films That Make You Feel. Photographs capture single moments in time, but they don’t tell the full story. As a videographer, my job is to help tell your love story by piecing together all the sounds and movements of your special day. It is only through video that you will be able to hear your partner’s vows or watch the magic of your first dance. Your wedding film is guaranteed to bring smiles, laughter, and tears as you hear and watch everyone’s joy. The rest of your love story is yours to tell. But if I do my job correctly, you will want to revisit this chapter over and over for years to come.

We were so grateful to have had Julio capture our entire wedding weekend, resulting in over 5 hours of footage (which he have watched all the way through!). Julio and Isela were a great team and were open to spending the weekend with a bunch of people they didn't know AND to adventuring through Yosemite for even more footage. We couldn't have chosen a better team to document this special occasion, thank you!

Lark & Lavender

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

I love colorful, full of fun, romantic, true-to-you weddings! A little about me, Ariel! I can't live without love, beautiful in-season flowers all over my house and adventure. I've been lucky enough to photograph weddings for the past 10 years; over 200 weddings!

Ariel shot my husband and I's Long Beach art district engagement session and our Joshua Tree anniversary shoot. I wasn't lucky enough to have Ariel photograph my actual wedding, but hopefully, you will be able to swoop her up because she is a gem! The testament to a great wedding photographer isn't just that they capture beautiful photos, but that they communicate and listen to you as a couple and make you feel at ease. Ariel is incredibly professional and makes sure she understands what you want out of your images, while also bringing her expertise and experience to capture those special moments that will bring you joy. You are in safe hands with Ariel if you're not comfortable in front of the camera or are afraid of looking awkward because she takes the time to help bring out that natural smile and loosen you up. I know this because I'm a self-proclaimed adorkable person who can get super awkward in front of a camera, and Ariel has a way of gently suggesting a better angle/shot or inspiring a more natural smile. She doesn't just click a button but is looking at the photo she is capturing to ensure she is snapping a beautiful image. Ariel also doesn't heavily treat her images with dramatic filters. She just brings out the beautiful colors and light of the day. If you want simply beautiful images, Lark & Lavender is the way to go! When you hire Lark & Lavender, you're not just hiring a wedding photographer but a creative artist who has a vision for capturing every beautiful and memorable moment of your day, plus she just makes you instantly feel relaxed and at ease which is essential on what can sometimes be a very stressful day.

Sweet Fuss

Long Beach, CA
  • Beauty professional

Sweet Fuss Hair & Makeup Artistry believes that everyone deserves to be fussed over. The goal is provide superior client services to make you even more beautiful and your day even sweeter. Sweet Fuss founder, Alpha, is devoted to creating stunning looks for her clients. As an expert in her craft, she will customize your hair and makeup to create a look that is perfectly suited for YOU!

Alpha was referred to me by my hairstylist for our 08/10/24 vineyard wedding in Temecula, CA. I wanted someone who was familiar with skin of color and a small business owner. After looking at her portfolio and speaking with other satisfied clients, I booked her services. She was extremely professional and personable from start to finish. Her quote was very transparent and included a pre wedding bridal trial as well as her travel fees (which were very fair). Due to this being a destination wedding I had to travel to OC for my trial and missed my initial flight. Alpha was very understanding and helped me reschedule with ease. On the day of the trial, Alpha was personable and took her time to achieve my desired look. She was so patient, she didn't loose her cool when I had her change my lip color 3 times before deciding on my final look! On the day of the wedding everything went smoothly; Alpha was punctual and prepared-she requested pictures of my entire wedding party with their makeup inspirations several months in advance. She had perfect foundation matches for everyone in the wedding party, nailed everyone's makeup look and was extremely flexible when one of my bridesmaids was late for her makeup time. Last minute I even added blush and lipstick for my Jr bridesmaids and flower girls (ages 4,7, 9 and 9) which Alpha was able to accommodate. For the adult bridesmaids/bride she provided a blotting tissue and lipstick for touchups throughout the day. Despite the day being 90 degrees, lots of eating/drinking and dancing (read sweat and lots of it), not a single person's makeup smeared. Everyone loved their looks and their confidence shown in our wedding pictures. As for me, I felt and looked amazing; she made my bridal dreams come true! Don't walk, RUN to book Alpha and Sweet Fuss! I 100% recommend her!
