Hello Friends! My name is Lori - the owner, & the face behind it all! A lot of people always ask - how did you get started in this line of work? The story isn’t as cool as some would think. So here it is. Short & sweet. My sister was expecting her third baby, she was in her third trimester and I decided to plan a baby shower because what the heck, every new baby deserves to be celebrated.

I am Deseree, owner/baker of Sweet Haven. I am a self-taught baker and have been baking for as long as I can remember. I'm a don’t skip dessert after dinner, give me anything sweet and chocolate, kind of girl. While I have always loved all things sweet, my true passion sparked when my son was born in 2018. I made a point to make everything from scratch and wanted to plan and bake for his first birthday. His desserts and cake for his special day went off without a hitch, and from that point on I have been baking and decorating ever since. I love being able to add something sweet to some of life’s biggest celebrations.
