“Sam was hands down the best person to have coordinate my wedding. She was efficient, punctual, trustworthy, and so unconditionally kind. As the DIY bride that I was, it was hard for me to trust others with understanding my vision. Well, I barely had to describe some details to her and she just “got it”! Let me elaborate. Due to timing, my group was unable to decorate the ceremony space day before as planned. It was a huge stressor of mine because no other party members were able to do it for me. When Sam came to run our rehearsal instead of asking me “what do you want me to do?” She asked me, “what is stressing you out”. That question was way easier for me to come up with an answer for than the million possible tasks I could have had her do. I told her how the ceremony space not being decorated before the wedding day terrified me, because I would have to have my groomsmen do it, and not be able to see it before walking down the aisle. Sam calmly responded “I got you”. Somehow she said exactly what I needed to hear. Saturday when she arrived, she decorated the entire space, and not once did I worry about it again. The first time I saw the ceremony space was, in fact, when I walked down the aisle. It took my breath away She, somehow, was able to coral my groomsmen, communicate with vendors when I couldn't, and allow my day to flow smoothly. There was not one request I had that Sam responded with any resistance, a no, or made me think any part of my vision was impossible. She offered solutions and constructive criticism in a professional and loving way. If you know me, I tend to be anxious and strive for perfection. Sam strives for perfection and has such a calm disposition. This is why we were the perfect match. I am also a bridal hair stylist/ makeup artist. So I understand the chaos behind weddings. I loved her from a client perspective, but I also pray I get to work with her as a fellow vendor soon. My other vendors expressed how lovely and organized she was. I could go on forever about how amazing and crucial she was to the success of our wedding. But, unfortunately there is a character limit. So, I will leave you with this. She is wonderful. She is precise. She is sweet. She is worth EVERY PENNY of your investment. You will not regret anything. “If you are looking for a day of coordinator you NEED to hire Melissa and Kourtney! They were nothing but amazing! I hired them for day of coordination for prior to that you’ll have 2 meetings and be able to call/text Melissa about anything you’ll need! She did a fantastic job coordinating the rehearsal and making sure everyone knew what they were doing. The day of the hemming on my underskirt was falling apart because my shoes had rhinestones and I could barely walk because how tangled it was! The minute Melissa and Kourtney got there, they pulled out their scissors and safety pins and fixed my dress in no time! They set up my ceremony space which was absolutely beautiful and made sure everyone and everything was where it needed to be for the ceremony. After the ceremony they brought out ice water since it was so hot and then later brought us food from the cocktail hour and drinks. Which was great since we were starving! I didn’t have a dj because we had an intimate wedding and the yard games out in the patio, so Melissa announced everything for us which was amazing! I just couldn’t had made this wedding everything I’ve dreamed of without her and Kourtney! I started as a receptionist in a local salon, worked as stylist, manager, and even as a designer sales rep. I have taken all my experience and all the brides I have helped to develop my Day of Styling Service. In my store front I will style you and find you the perfect gown, then on your day of wedding I show up to help with your look. “Jessica can handle any problem you throw at her, even things she isn’t responsible for! I recently watched her fix a wedding cake for her couple when it showed up decorated completely wrong. She smoothed out the wrong icing, added flowers that were used in the ceremony, and then added the correct cake topper on top. That is impeccable service!!As a photographer myself, I’ve worked with Jessica at several weddings now, and can confirm that she goes above and beyond for each of her couples. “I really appreciated having Lissia (owner of It's the Little Things) and her assistant as my day-of-coordinators. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Lissia was always available for advice and to make sure everything was going well with the other vendors. She guided us through our wedding rehearsal. On the morning of our wedding she was there early to decorate and make sure everything was in place. She made our already beautiful venue look perfect and even brought a few additional decorations. Throughout the day, she made sure everyone (especially me) was in the right place and kept things moving. Lissia was always calm, cool, and collected and if anything went wrong during my wedding, I don't know it because she made everything feel like it was going so smoothly (and she caught that the table numbers I set up and the groups of people with the corresponding numbers on the seating chart didn't match). Every little detail was taken care of. I highly recommend It's the Little Things, I hired her for day-of-coordination but I bet wedding planning would have been much easier if I hired her for full wedding planning.”
