“Jorge from Sound Event DJs played at 2 of our son’s weddings and was absolutely fantastic, and we were fortunate to get him for my husband’s 70th birthday party. It’s now been a week, and our guests are still talking about the great music and DJ. Although we had chosen songs to play on Sound Event DJ’s easy planning website, only a good DJ knows which ones to actually play and when to play them. Jorge totally read the crowd, understood their culture (mainly Caribbean) and knew the timing…when to play the fast songs and slow ones, and when to mix them up to keep everyone on the dance floor. He also noted which songs brought back a lot of memories for us and made sure he played them. Kids, young people, old, and single filled the dance floor for every song throughout the night. Our wedding would have undoubtedly been more disorganized and everything would have likely gotten off schedule if not for the advice and flexibility of D.J. Paulish. Especially if you don’t have a formal wedding planner, we recommend an experienced D.J. like Dan – he simultaneously went with the flow and kept everything on track. And despite some of the chaos going on “behind the scenes” with other aspects of the wedding, this D.J. kept the party going and made sure that all of that chaos stayed behind the scenes and that all of the guests continued to have a good time. “Steve and his team are incredible! I was blown away with his professionalism and customer service from the beginning. My husband and I dealt with a little hiccup with our venue during the planning process and Steve immediately reached out and helped find a solution. He was always easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. He also exceeded our expectations at the wedding. Our music selection and cultures vary greatly between both of our families, and Steve was able to accommodate that! We also used his photo booth which our guests loved.
