“Jorge from Sound Event DJs played at 2 of our son’s weddings and was absolutely fantastic, and we were fortunate to get him for my husband’s 70th birthday party. It’s now been a week, and our guests are still talking about the great music and DJ. Although we had chosen songs to play on Sound Event DJ’s easy planning website, only a good DJ knows which ones to actually play and when to play them. Jorge totally read the crowd, understood their culture (mainly Caribbean) and knew the timing…when to play the fast songs and slow ones, and when to mix them up to keep everyone on the dance floor. He also noted which songs brought back a lot of memories for us and made sure he played them. Kids, young people, old, and single filled the dance floor for every song throughout the night. “We hired Philip from Good Musicians for our wedding and he was phenomenal! Philip played acoustic guitar for our ceremony/cocktail hour and then transitioned to a fantastic DJ for the reception! He did such a great job playing the song requests we had on the guitar, and he even learned a few that was very important for us to be played! We got SO many compliments from the guests of the wedding on how well he preformed- including family members that are singers and performers themselves! Then for the reception, he brought the PARTY as the DJ. He was able to really capture the vibe of what we were looking for as well as what the guests wanted to hear. Prior to the wedding, he was very attentive to what we were looking for in terms of song request and do not play lists. He also provided a very large song library of suggestions, as well as songs he knows how to play via Spotify- this made our lives SO much easier and was such a great resource! We also rented uplighting and cold fireworks for our wedding though Philip, which really elevated the party atmosphere. He was ready with suggestions and tips for aspects of the music and the schedule that we weren’t sure about. Our wedding would have undoubtedly been more disorganized and everything would have likely gotten off schedule if not for the advice and flexibility of D.J. Paulish. Especially if you don’t have a formal wedding planner, we recommend an experienced D.J. like Dan – he simultaneously went with the flow and kept everything on track. And despite some of the chaos going on “behind the scenes” with other aspects of the wedding, this D.J. kept the party going and made sure that all of that chaos stayed behind the scenes and that all of the guests continued to have a good time. “To work with Dj Duni for our wedding was an incredible journey, from the first phone call to very end after the wedding, very professional, knows all types of music to accommodate all types of guests.
