Nazareth Hall is known throughout the region as a banquet and wedding facility, but it’s the rich history and lush setting that draws people here. Built in 1927 as an all-boy Catholic boarding school. It eventually evolved into a renowned military school for boys. Throughout its history the school stayed true to its Catholic roots and the nuns who served and taught here. Operating until 1982 the stories written within its walls are still told today. Re-emerging with a new mission and purpose in April of 1991, Nazareth Hall was reborn. It is in this picturesque place, reminiscent of castles of old, that brides come to be married and celebrate with family and friends in grand ballrooms. The classrooms and meeting spaces offer the perfect vintage background for business training sessions, and the manicured lawns have been host to numerous parties and festivities.

When we were looking for a venue, I immediately fell in love with the look and feel of Nazareth Hall. It is a beautiful place that allows for so much diversity in decor/theme. Not only was Nazareth beautiful, but the staff was absolutely wonderful! They worked with us to ensure that we had exactly what we wanted on our wedding day. There was never a time that I felt stressed during our wedding planning because our coordinator at Nazareth helped us through each step! She always ensured that we had specific things booked by certain times in our planning. The amazing staff didn’t end with our wedding planner/coordinator, the waitstaff and day of coordinator were also amazing! I never felt like I was forced to pay for things we didn’t need and the food was amazing! Nazareth Hall is 1000% the best wedding venue in the area! We have had nothing but positive experiences here!

We were very happy we booked our ceremony at Matthaei Botanical Gardens. First of all, the gardens were gorgeous. We had our wedding in early June in the Perennial Gardens, and it's even more beautiful than it looks in photos. During the planning process, Monica was very easy to reach and very organized. We live out of state, but Monica was able to give a tour to my family (who live in town) while my husband and I were on FaceTime so we could see the space, and even gave us another tour once we were in town. We didn't have a day-of coordinator, but we really didn't need one with all of Monica's help. Monica helped us run the rehearsal (along with our officiant), and had assistants on the day of the wedding helping everything run smoothly. They had spaces for the bridal party to "hide" before the ceremony and took us through a back-entrance to the garden so the guests wouldn't see us before the ceremony. They helped us get lined up on time, and Monica even adjusted my dress and veil before walking down the aisle. From our guests perspective, parking was easy and there were signs directing them to the ceremony location. Given that this is an outdoor venue, there's always the risk of rain. However, Monica can help you pick the right time of year to minimize your risk. There's also information on the website about which gardens are at their peak bloom at different times of the year. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Matthaei! We would recommend this location to anyone looking for an outdoor wedding.

Donna and the rest of the events team at The Henry Ford helped us seamlessly navigate the process of preparing, planning, and celebrating our dream wedding ceremony and reception at The Henry Ford Museum. From the initial discussion and tour to the moment we left at the end of our reception, the events team helped ensure that everything was perfect and brought our vision to life. On the day of our wedding, the ceremony and reception venues were absolutely stunning, the food was beyond delicious, and many of our guests gushed about how amazing it was to get to explore the museum while celebrating with us. After the wedding, my husband and I decided that we were so happy that we plan to be lifetime members of The Henry Ford. We had our wedding at the Collins off Main in August and it was everything we could imagine and more!! The space itself lends you to have whatever vibe for your wedding you could want and the team at the Collins is really what makes the place. We were going for a garden lush elegant yet fun wedding and had the best time. We liked getting to choose all of our vendors, having flexibility with bar/food service, a different space for ceremony (at the Clocktower a block away), and most of all having an outdoor area that is tasteful and fun. We also loved the after-party feature and it was so easy to move guests there after the reception ended. Jess and the team were thorough with the design planning and took what was in our brains and put it into the venue seamlessly (from the couples perspective) working with the other vendors; as well as acting as day of coordinator being extremely helpful. They have decor which couples can borrow and also easy to collaborate with rentals for chairs, table ware, etc. We enjoyed staying in the suite the night before and after the wedding which made getting ready and pictures go smoothly. I would recommend the Collins off Main to anyone!!
