Constructed in 1871 by Bavarian immigrant Philip H. Zorn Jr., Barrelhouse The Venue resides on the historic Zorn campus. As an annex to the brewery, Barrelhouse The Venue would manufacture beer barrels to house fresh beer prior to distribution around Northwest Indiana. Though unoccupied now, the original ice-house, brew-house, and malting building still stand across the street, a reminder of the dream Philip Zorn brought with him to America.

Friendship Botanic Gardens is a unique, beautiful setting for the outdoor wedding and other special events. Weddings are scheduled from mid-May through mid-October. Fountains splash, birds sing, and trees tower above. The Gardens include over one hundred acres of woods and landscaped areas, providing one of the most beautiful outdoor venues in Northwest Indiana. The Gardens can accommodate a small and intimate wedding ceremony of a few family and friends, or a larger wedding ceremony up to 300 guests. Friendship Botanic Gardens welcomes and honors all marriages of all types. We do not discriminate against anyone. All weddings include chairs, use of the area for three hours and rehearsal privileges. Arrangements can be made for use of the Bridal Cabin and golf cart shuttle with driver to transport guests to the venue. Ceremonies and receptions will be customized by our wedding coordinator. Weddings over 400 guests can be custom designed to suit your needs.

The Charles A. Hayes Family Investment Center, honoring the legacy of Chicago's late Congressman Charles A. Hayes from Illinois' First Congressional District, stands as a testament to collaborative efforts within the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA). Situated at 4859 S. Wabash Avenue in the vibrant Bronzeville community, this center is owned and operated by CHA. It serves as a hub for community engagement, empowerment, and investment, reflecting Congressman Hayes' commitment to the betterment of Chicago's residents.

Tall Ship Windy is the official flagship of the city of Chicago. Windy is a 148-foot four-masted schooner with three decks featuring open seating allowing plenty of space for your guests to comfortably move about the ship.
