The coordinator packages are worth every penny—Stephanie stepped in during the final weeks and went above and beyond, she and the staff even brought drinks to the head table and our parents during dinner. The in-house services are so convenient, and the new getting-ready suite is gorgeous and perfect for a relaxing morning. The entire team was incredible throughout our two-year planning process—fun, professional, and detail-oriented. Every vendor had told us how amazing they are to work with, and they see why as they executed our day flawlessly. The venue is stunning, spacious yet intimate, and our guests haven’t stopped complimenting it. Merc. Sound handled our DJ, and Nate was fantastic! **Bonus for pet parents: Merc is pet-friendly, and our pups were so welcomed, making the day extra special. We could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our day. Everyone at Nippersink was beyond kind and helpful on the day of and for the entire year leading up to the wedding. Jaclyn was a dream to work with. She answered all of my many questions and was so flexible and accommodating. She always responded very promptly and went above and beyond in answering any questions or requests. Paul, the owner, and his wife were equally helpful and kind. I loved how personable their entire family was. My now husband and I kept saying throughout the whole wedding planning process how lucky we were to find Nippersink. Some examples of how they went above and beyond: buying my favorite flavored water and Malibu to use as a signature drink, allowing us to add on an appetizer a week before the wedding, sending us pictures of all of the available decor to use (they have so many great options available!), giving us the nicest gift day of, being flexible in the rehearsal dinner timing, and allowing us to have our ceremony at the venue with only 4 months notice when our church fell through. Besides their family being the sweetest, they have created such a wonderful space! The new wooden tables and chairs are gorgeous, the hotel was just redone, the grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious. We have gotten SO many compliments from guests about how much they loved the venue and were told from a guest it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! We truthfully could not have had a better experience and we are so thankful to everyone at Nippersink on the Lake for that! Five stars just isn’t enough!

The Evergreen Room, our banquet facility, is nestled in a beautifully landscaped hillside. The room features 15 ft. vaulted ceilings, cherry stained wood accents, and large windows that overlook our 27-hole golf course. The room can hold up to 250 guest for a plated reception or 220 for a buffet reception. Attached to the room is The Pub Bar. This large bar is penninsula shaped and served from 3 sides. There are several tables in the surrounding area for guests to easily gather around. You and your guests will have access to our spacious patio where the views of the golf course continue. This space can also serve as the perfect back drop for an on-site ceremony. The Evergreen Room offeres an adjoining Bridal Suite. We had our wedding 6/15/24 at the blue stem farms and events. When I say this venue is breathtaking, it has everything you’re looking for in a rustic style barn. From the beautiful property to the barn this will make your wedding day even more special. Have to give a huge shot out to Kelly the owner, she is the sweetest lady you will meet. She made sure during the whole planning process to be by our sides. If you need to speak to her, she’s right there for you. On our wedding day she made sure everything ran smoothly. I cannot think of one thing that went wrong. She did a fabulous job ensuring everything was set up properly with the vendors. Highly recommend!

We couldn't have picked a more beautiful, open and perfect venue than the Factory on Barclay. We got married 5/13 and people are still messaging me about how stunning the venue was. Sarah was amazing every step of the way from letting us tour multiple times with different family members, owning set up of our day and tear down. We didn't have to worry about a thing besides having our day. The rest of the staff day-of was absolutely awesome as well. Alcohol is provided. Bartenders were awesome and dealt with the party atmosphere of our wedding really well. We had a little scheduling issue where, surprisingly, we were ahead of schedule and Sarah got all vendors to move things ahead 30 mins. You get so much for your money as well. The space itself is massive and makes the day flow really easily. We did everything on-site, (getting ready, pics, ceremony and reception) and it was the perfect space. Getting ready suites are huge and a big plus. Recommended vendors usually sway people in the opposite direction because you have a smaller list of caterers to chose from, but it's evident that the staff at the Factory and Sarah have taken the time to curate a list of vendors that make a lot of sense for all different budgets and different experiences. We wouldn't do a thing differently regarding our venue search. Truly was the most beautiful day. Will add pictures once we get our formal pics from our photographer!

Everything from start to finish was amazing with UClub! Leah and the staff were great and pleasant to work with! We had the venue pretty much to ourselves all weekend which was great for my out of town family. Everything was stress free and taken care of without question! Starting from the first call we had with Amelia (Sales Manager in charge of their room blocks) last November while Jonathan (Wedding-Catering Sales Manager) was out of the office, we knew The Abbey was going to be an amazing venue to work with. Her vibrant personality could be felt over the phone, and made me feel like we’d known her for years. This rang true through every single phone call and email we had during our wedding planning, all the way through being onsite for our wedding week. Amelia is friendly, approachable, a great listener, accommodating, timely, and hospitable to name just a few. We genuinely felt like she cared about the success of our wedding, and the experience that our guests were going to have. She went as far as working with the reservations team to ensure we got a suite that was previously reserved when it opened up, customizing our wedding block to fit our guests’ needs, helping ensure guest welcome bags were distributed, and welcoming us for our stay with a gift basket note. We truly believe we would have ended up having our wedding elsewhere if I hadn’t tracked her down last November. Similar to Amelia - from the first time we connected with Jonathan to start planning our wedding, we knew we had something unique in our venue team, and felt confident we’d be in great hands throughout the process. Jonathan always responded to our frequent emails in an extremely timely manner – often right away even when we told him to wait until business hours – and it often felt like he was one step ahead of us. He was extremely helpful with providing his industry expertise, guiding our decision making based on previous experience with weddings / large events, and felt confident that he ultimately had our best interests in mind. He helped us incorporate unique components / details to our wedding that our guests are still talking about, and gave us the sweetest welcome package in our suite! (And recommended we book a great secluded suite!) Jonathan somehow was able to accommodate all of our requests in some way or another, and always made us feel like he was so personally invested. We never could have imagined working with someone so responsive, flexible, detail-oriented, and somehow as passionate about our wedding as we were. His organizational and coordination skills shined exceptionally throughout the last 10 months – even the day after the wedding he was helping us move things out of the ballroom and transferring flowers to brunch. He was truly there every step of the way. We have not been able to stop raving about both Jonathan and Amelia to anyone who asks, and can confidently say we don’t have any negative feedback to share about our experience. Our guests have been the same way and have all been positively commenting on their whole experience. Any challenges that came up throughout our process were always met with solutions, a clear path forward, and their team going above and beyond. Jonathan and Amelia were even there to see us out the Monday after our wedding as we departed, and made not only us but also our parents feel like family. Truly everyone from check-in, Greg at valet, and restaurant spa staff, to the catering events teams and management being open to our ever changing requests ( and keeping up with our large group size) – everyone was so accommodating to work with. We cannot say more positive things about the staff, venue, and our experience!

The UEC is a wonderful organization that does such great conservation work in our community and it pleased us very much to be able to support them with some of our wedding dollars. The outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous and shady. Inside, we love the beautiful wood paneling and rustic wood furniture, as well as the openness of the space and the big skylight. Danni, our event coordinator, was great to work with and very responsive to our emails and questions. It was great to feel so welcomed and comfortable as a queer couple. The UEC is very LGBTQIA friendly and we felt right at home! Oh and the beautiful natural surroundings made for great photos too!

Rustic Manor was a lovely wedding venue. Our guests loved the spacious grounds, easy parking, large bathrooms, and classy rustic interior. We loved the large bridal and groomsmen suites, the payment process, the venue setting up chairs for ceremony and reception, and the professionalism of staff throughout the planning process. We did not love how expensive it was for the add ons. For a Saturday wedding in “wedding season” we paid almost 10k just for the venue and venue-specific add ons. This included string lights, nice tables, water service at dinner, use of the Photo Booth, etc. The Photo Booth did not include a guest book to put the extra slides (which we had seen at another wedding at this venue), which we didn’t realize until the night of when it was too late. The bar bill (180 guests) was about 6k. Their preferred dinner vendors were expensive and didn’t have many vegetarian options. The least expensive “preferred food vendor” was 20k for 180 guests. We *really* didn’t love that they didn’t have any signs at the bar. We were expected to purchase signs and write out the drink list, hours, and rules of the bar. Our guests did not love that there wasn’t a bartender on scene to get even water or soda prior to the ceremony. During planning, they encouraged stopping open bar during dinner, so our guests had nothing to drink for the toasts. They did not have a sound system going outside, so half of our guests were outdoors and missed all of the announcements. Our wedding was beautiful, but for a venue that “prefers” an event costing 50k, we expected more.

Twelve29 was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Sara answered all of my many questions in a timely manner and with patience. Chris gave us a wonderful tour of the space and helped us select the ideal bar package. The warehouse has a beautiful, industrial look that required barely any extra decorations. Our guests raved about the layout and aesthetic. Everything ran flawlessly thanks to the staff's attention to detail. A small hiccup with our caterer was smoothly handled by Chris so we could relax and enjoy our reception. The team even swiftly cleaned up some broken glass at the end so we didn't have to worry. For a stress-free wedding with beautiful ambiance, I wholeheartedly recommend Twelve29.

We had our wedding reception at the Oconomowoc Community Center and were very pleased with both the venue and the staff. They were always prompt and thorough in responding to our questions during the planning process, which we really appreciated. The space itself was clean, open, and well-maintained - perfect for our reception. The staff let us bring decor in the day before so we could decorate and get everything ready easier day of, which was a huge help in making our wedding day run smoothly. If you're looking for an affordable venue option in the Oconomowoc area with great communication and service, we'd definitely recommend checking out the community center!

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

We ended up having an amazing wedding at Scenic View Country Club in October 2020. The space is nicely laid out and provides plenty of room with dance floor, huge bar and separate dining area. The wrap around porch provided nice outdoor space and would be great for cocktail hours, weather permitting. The views of the trees and green provided a great backdrop for ceremony and pictures. When COVID hit, there were a few changes in their event coordinators which made us a little nervous but once we got Clarissa a few months before our day, that all changed. Clarissa and her staff really made our day special. She was organized and great at communication leading up to our day. Planning a wedding in 2020 wasn't easy but I appreciated Clarissa's flexibility and help as we got closer. Day of, she was so helpful keeping us on track and making sure everything ran smoothly. We had some rain scheduled but still wanted to keep the ceremony outside if possible. We luckily got a window before our ceremony began and the staff was out there wiping off chairs and leaf blowing puddles so I wouldn't get my dress wet. Throughout the night, the staff continued to do an amazing job with serving dinner and keeping our guests happy! We were also very impressed with the food and heard nothing but good things from guests. Overall, we were thrilled with our experience and very happy with our choice to have our special day at Scenic View!

My wedding venue at Mission Hills Country Club was overall a wonderful experience. Communication was great with Anna, the venue manager. She was sweet, patient and responsive and helped out in every way possible. I would recommend asking lots of questions and cross checking details with Anna to avoid any surprises though. The venue itself is breathtaking, with beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremonies requiring very little extra decor. We used the outdoor area for our ceremony and it was simply gorgeous. The indoor spaces are also lovely formal event venues. Overall, Mission Hills Country Club is a beautiful wedding venue that I definitely recommend, especially if you work with Anna on the details. With good communication on both sides, your wedding there is sure to be a success.

Milford Hills Hunt Club was the perfect venue for our wedding day. We primarily communicated with them over email which was always prompt and detailed. The outdoor space was gorgeous and made for a beautiful ceremony backdrop. The indoor space is on the smaller side but worked well for our wedding of about 150 guests. Heidi, the on-site coordinator, was phenomenal - her organization and communication really allowed my husband and I to relax and soak in being newlyweds. The food provided by Milford Hills was delicious and having the ceremony, reception and catering all handled by one vendor streamlined the planning process. It's a stunning venue with an accommodating staff that helped contribute to our special day.

I loved my wedding, it was everything I could've wanted out of the venue. I had My ceremony (outside) & reception (inside) and it was such a wonderful time! I did the family-style menu and all the food was delicious. The reception area in the all seasons room was beautiful with the light globe. The bartenders and servers were very attentive and polite. All of our guests loved the food, the chocolate fountain, and of course the late-night bowling!! The communication with the venue was my main pain point as I was appointed multiple sales managers as it seemed like they were going through a management change. I thought it was odd that I talked with the sales manager for all of my communication regarding the wedding up until the day of I was assigned an event manager who I met 1 hour before my ceremony. The sales manager was still on property the day of but I thought it was weird I didn't receive any information that I would be working with someone else the day of. I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a beautiful and fun place to get married!!
