Our venue is housed in a series of buildings dating back to the 1880’s. These buildings contain rustic elements with a chic industrial ambiance featuring exposed brick, hardwood floors, a pallet wall and visible rafters. Events that take place during the day are complemented by the beautiful view of the world-renowned Clark Bridge and the glistening Mississippi River. At night, the lights of Alton’s famed bridge create a spectacular backdrop for the evening’s activities. These design features have made us one of the most unique venues in the Midwest.

All bookings get access to our large East Gallery with brick & glass bar; Glass Gallery filled with pieces by TDG artists; outdoor courtyard; and comfortable Vetro Lounge for wedding prep. The Cheshire is one of St. Louis’ iconic properties. Originally built in the 1920’s, it was completely renovated in 2011 with modern day conveniences. Located just minutes from downtown and steps away from Forest Park, Upstairs at The Cheshire boast an incredible list of amenities and services perfect for rehearsal dinners and receptions. For smaller receptions of 40 – 70, private dining or a cocktail hour is a popular option before heading to Upstairs or Boundary.
