We have two venues: *The Island -- Lake Cuyamaca has a scenic, natural site suitable for small outdoor weddings. Venue is rented for 6 daylight hours. Tables & chairs are not included.  *Ole Firehouse -- The Firehouse is a newly renovated former fire station with a 40' x 60' event room, the perfect space for both weddings and receptions. Amenities include: the venue room, a full kitchen, two restrooms, an outdoor patio area, a large, shaded deck, and an upstairs bridal dressing room/loft space. It has a 80-person indoor capacity with the Firehouse bay doors closed & a 100-person capacity when they are open. We'd love to give you a tour of our unique locations & are committed to doing all we can to help you make this a memorable day!

Do NOT sleep on this beautiful venue! The space is perfect for indoor, outdoor, and deck option. We used all areas and had the most amazing views on every side! Not only is it an amazing venue, with flexibility in vendors, time, etc but a friendly team! Oh and a full kitchen, storage, and bridal suite with AC!

Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Oakwood Creek made our wedding dreams come true...if you are looking for a rustic, charming, cozy, and intimate venue, look no further - you have found it in Oakwood Creek. As a couple that paid for our wedding ourselves, finding the perfect venue, location, setting all within budget started out challenging. But after one tour at Oakwood Creek, we knew right away we found our venue. (It actually was our first and only tour, that's how certain we were.) We had 35 guests (planned for 40) and it was the perfect size. My husband and I only wanted our closest friends and family so this venue was perfect for us. We were able to get plate rentals through the venue and coordinated all of our vendors through Oakwood Creek. The entire team at Oakwood Creek is amazing. I definitely had a few moments of tears before the wedding after 100% rain was forecasted on my wedding day but the team pivoted everything indoors for the reception and we were able to do the ceremony outside. They all kept me grounded and answered every single one of my questions (there were MANY) lol! Let me start off by saying, I was a girl who never cared to get married, until I found Sacred Mountain Julian. I knew immediately from their photos, I needed to book my wedding there. Right when they announced their 2023 reservations were open, I immediately booked a walk through and basically booked my fall wedding. First off, the Sunset Plateau is so amazing and breathtaking to say your vows. I specifically told my photographer that I wanted to take as many photos possible on the property. Every area offers photos ops of your liking. The team there is amazing to work with. I recommend visiting the property to see the beauty for yourself.

DJ Conner was absolutely amazing and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the dancing music and all the music played throughout the evening. He listened to our music needs, which were not the clearest at times, but nonetheless he came up with a great playlist that fit the diverse age range and what we were envisioning. It seemed that all the guests were dancing on the dance floor at some point in the evening. Just recently a guest from the wedding reached out commenting how Conner was the best wedding DJ they have ever heard. Conner brings a cool, sophisticated vibe that is truly great for all age demographics. Additionally, Conner was super professional, on time, and had state of the art sound equipment. He also did an incredible job micing the night and keeping the pace. The fact that I didn't want the night to end speaks volumes to how much I enjoyed our wedding and a big part of that was the music. Hiring the right DJ is one of the best wedding decisions we made and was also way more cost effective than a live band. To wrap this up, we are so thankful Conner decided to take his DJ talents to the wedding industry. I am sure his business will take off. Heather and Tiffany did an amazing job! They arrived promptly on the wedding day and were quick and efficient. Their prices are very reasonable and their services are easy to understand. After a short description or inspiration photo, they immediately understood what each person wanted and got it right every time. Heather also styled my husband's long curly hair into a beautiful braid. She is the only one he trusts with his hair from this point forward! Our family and friends wouldn’t leave dance floor and that’s the exact outcome we asked for and were hoping for when we sought out Cam's services. He asked us for a list of our favorite songs and filled in the gaps when we needed some inspiration. He's a HIGHLY skilled professional and we were through the roof happy that he pulled together all of our preferences of Motown, country, Latin, and hip hop into a nonstop party where each song the dance floor was packed! The sound quality was excellent and he navigated an outdoor courtyard setting and an indoor banquet hall and the sound was full, balanced and clear in each of the venue spaces. The PhotoBooth and uplights were a fantastic touch, the props were also super fun and we captured moments we’ll cherish forever.

I got married here at the beginning of June and it was the best day of my life and Forgotten Barrel definitely made it an amazing day. When I first came here to tour the place, Alyssa made me feel like a bride and not just another person looking for a venue. She was easy to work with and definitely was one of the many selling points of picking this venue for our wedding. The day itself was flawless and all our guests had a great time here. We also came at a perfect time of the year because all the flowers were blooming and the place looked extra beautiful. I definitely recommend this place you won't regret it!

As a wedding planner, I've worked with GE Productions on countless weddings for years. He consistently delivers professional, customized service and cares for each of his clients. In his planning process, DJ Jimmy Grizzley is incredibly thorough regarding song selection for the most important moments of the wedding day. During the event, he will never push play on a playlist and step away from his DJ station. He curates music and actively mixes it together on site keeping energy high and your guests on the dance floor. He works well with other vendors following timelines meticulously. As the coordinator hired for Alex M's wedding (see below), I'm confused by the disappointment expressed. Alex's guests danced the entire reception. The cake cutting was both announced, staged, documented, and well-attended. He played their special song during the process as well. These clients were challenging, but DJ Jimmy Grizzley knocked it out of the park as usual!

I was trying to cut corners on wherever I could as Weddings are just outrageously expensive. My venue required a coordinator, so I looked and reached out to a few. Most never responded to me or were just way too expensive. Finding Jenna was meant to be. She really made me realize how valuable a wedding coordinator is and above all how valuable she was to us. Jenna made all of the difference with how smoothly planning went amd how the day rolled out. I didn't have to worry about a thing because Jenna literally took care of it all - set up, pick up, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, and so much more that I am likely unaware of. She is extremely professional and on top of it all and my husband I highly recommend her. All of our guests commented on how smooth the wedding went and for us was nearly stress free. Taylor, Monique, Britt and the whole Amari team could not have been more fantastic to work with!! Despite the craziness that is postponing and subsequently planning a "mini-mony" wedding during covid, they maintained the utmost professionalism. The team at Amari was understanding, considerate, and just an overall joy to work with. I am so thankful we chose them as our videographers! Speaking of, Taylor and Monique were so much more than videographers on our wedding day. We had ~20 people, no servers, wedding planner, dj, etc to help facilitate. They stepped in and stepped up! They were our coordinators, planners, and time keepers! It was definitely a surreal day for so many reasons, and they captured it BEAUTIFULLY!!! I can’t stop watching our highlight video and crying. Since the majority of our family and friends could not be there physically, we chose a same-day edit (such an awesome service they offer!) and sent it out via email the next day.. Every family member and friend that we sent it to did not stop raving about how perfect it was. If you are contemplating not having a videographer - think again! I am so so happy we did and that we chose Amari. I would recommend them 100000 times!

The Secret Garden was the perfect venue for our group of 105 guests in May. It has an intimate feel, but still feels open and welcoming. The flowers were in bloom and the grass was very green. The coordination team did an amazing job accommodating all of our set-up requests and took great care of us on the day of. We are very pleased with everything and loved the preferred caterer and DJ that were part of the all-inclusive package. Overall we found this venue to be one of the more affordable options, especially given you bring in your own alcohol/drinks and can take home what’s leftover. This saved us at least 50/person. The surrounding area and city of Rancho Santa Fe are gorgeous. Parking was easy and all our guests loved the venue.

I can't say enough great things about Miranda and her team! From our first conversation, we immediately connected with her and she already felt like a friend. She quickly understood our vision for our wedding and what was important to us. She encouraged us to make it very personal and unique--she never shot down any weird ideas we might've had but also brought an experienced perspective, while also keeping us on track with all of the little details and scheduling. She was so well-organized and professional while also keeping things stress-free, light, and fun. There were no questions too big, too small, or too personal with all the drama that can come with such a big event. Miranda was easy to reach via text/email, and took the initiative to reach out and schedule check-ins when needed to make sure we stayed on track with the huge to-do list that comes with a wedding. Her vendor recommendations & other suggestions were awesome, but she also respected a couple of the areas where we found our own vendors with no questions asked. She truly helped us get every detail settled, down to the napkins and our catering order details. She took all the stress off once we got to the month of and leading up to the wedding day, confirming with our vendors so we didn't have to worry about it whatsoever. Our wedding day went seamlessly thanks to her--it sounds cliche but it was the most fun and beautiful day ever and we were able to really enjoy it thanks to Miranda. We couldn't have asked for a better planner and I would recommend her to anyone getting married in the SD area! We were lucky enough to be able to work with this wonderful team before we were even engaged, so we were blessed with not only the most magical wedding day photography experience, but also our engagement session, engagement party and bachelorette/bachelor party. Our experience was ABSOLUTELY the best we have ever had with any vendors we have ever hired. A true professional and a true friend every step of the way, the desire to make us feel safe, seen, prepared and excited leading up to our day was so clear and so deeply appreciated. The way her and her assistant made every member of our bridal party and family comfortable throughout the day and by the end of the whole process, we will forever treat them like family. The photos we've received thus far are nothing short of phenomenal. I have truly never felt more beautiful! We could not have dreamed up a better photographer or a better experience. Chris' Ono Grinds Island Grill was our number one choice from our available options for our wedding reception @ The Lane, San Diego. We love hawaiian food, and the menu options they gave us were perfect for our 250 guests! Even when we decided to add on a few more items about a month or so before the wedding, they were very communicative and helpful in making that work for us. The food and service itself were fantastic. We had a number of guests come up to us saying how much they enjoyed the food. And of course, they were kind enough to pack my wife and I some extra food at the end of night. We can't thank them enough, and would definitely recommend them to other wedding couples!

Stephanie kept me on track, she helped me make sure things were done when they were supposed to! I honestly could not have had such a great wedding without her! I provided her with my vision and gave her creative license to make it happen and she delivered! The last month of wedding planning life threw us some curve balls and Stephanie was so kind to us during that challenging time. If you are not sure whether or not you need a wedding planner, you do. Let me tell you not having to worry about set up, clean up, timelines and who knows what else made my day a breeze as a bride. Also Bonus! I was able to use some of her items-I didn’t have to buy them!!
