We have two venues: *The Island -- Lake Cuyamaca has a scenic, natural site suitable for small outdoor weddings. Venue is rented for 6 daylight hours. Tables & chairs are not included.  *Ole Firehouse -- The Firehouse is a newly renovated former fire station with a 40' x 60' event room, the perfect space for both weddings and receptions. Amenities include: the venue room, a full kitchen, two restrooms, an outdoor patio area, a large, shaded deck, and an upstairs bridal dressing room/loft space. It has a 80-person indoor capacity with the Firehouse bay doors closed & a 100-person capacity when they are open. We'd love to give you a tour of our unique locations & are committed to doing all we can to help you make this a memorable day!

We have so many good things to say about the Ole Firehouse, we’re not sure where to start. In a gorgeous location with mountain and lake views, the Ole Firehouse is just a short drive from Julian. The venue has a HUGE amount of space inside and out—in addition to the main indoor-outdoor area, there’s a getting-ready room upstairs, a fully functional kitchen for any catering needs, plenty of parking, and a beautiful outdoor deck. The staff is easy to work with and very relaxed, which was such a pleasant change from other venues that insist on monitoring your every move. Getting to access the venue for three days for set-up and tear-down was also a game-changer. And finally, all of these amenities—including tables and chairs—came at a seriously amazing price. Bottom line: if you want a stress-free, beautiful space to host a wedding or a reception, book the Ole Firehouse ASAP! We feel so fortunate that we were able to celebrate our special day in this one-of-a-kind venue.

Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Growing up in rural Ohio, Sherry brings the style of country that is reminiscent of simpler gracious time, learning from her grandmother Emma Barrett of all things romantically beautiful. The Oakwood Creek Celebrations staff were a joy to work with! I am so grateful that the staff customized a great package for our wedding day, with very short notice. Our Officiant Rev Hannah Wilder, performed a beautiful ceremony by the koi pond. The location is gorgeous, and the staff made us feel as if we were family. Every detail of our wedding was beautifully done, making the entire experience amazing and completely stress free. A million thanks to our wedding coordinator Sherry, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even took photos for us, since we didn't have a photographer. Our wedding was better than anything I dreamed of!

Let me start off by saying, I was a girl who never cared to get married, until I found Sacred Mountain Julian. I knew immediately from their photos, I needed to book my wedding there. Right when they announced their 2023 reservations were open, I immediately booked a walk through and basically booked my fall wedding. First off, the Sunset Plateau is so amazing and breathtaking to say your vows. I specifically told my photographer that I wanted to take as many photos possible on the property. Every area offers photos ops of your liking. The team there is amazing to work with. I recommend visiting the property to see the beauty for yourself.

DJ Conner was absolutely amazing and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the dancing music and all the music played throughout the evening. He listened to our music needs, which were not the clearest at times, but nonetheless he came up with a great playlist that fit the diverse age range and what we were envisioning. It seemed that all the guests were dancing on the dance floor at some point in the evening. Just recently a guest from the wedding reached out commenting how Conner was the best wedding DJ they have ever heard. Conner brings a cool, sophisticated vibe that is truly great for all age demographics. Additionally, Conner was super professional, on time, and had state of the art sound equipment. He also did an incredible job micing the night and keeping the pace. The fact that I didn't want the night to end speaks volumes to how much I enjoyed our wedding and a big part of that was the music. Hiring the right DJ is one of the best wedding decisions we made and was also way more cost effective than a live band. To wrap this up, we are so thankful Conner decided to take his DJ talents to the wedding industry. I am sure his business will take off. We couldn’t have asked for someone better, he did a phenomenal job from the start when guests arrived to the very last song. The music selection was perfect, it kept everyone dancing and was exactly what we wanted. When we first connected with Clemence, we were feeling overwhelmed and anxious. With our wedding less than six months away and having recently parted ways with our original planner, we were in urgent need of someone who could bring our dream wedding to life. Clemence stepped in with infectious enthusiasm, and from the outset, it was clear she genuinely cared about realizing the vision we held for our special day. An early experience that solidified our confidence in Clemence, and one we will always cherish, was our engagement photoshoot. Just a week after our initial meeting, Clemence learned of our upcoming anniversary trip to the Loire Valley, where we planned to stay at a Chateau and have our engagement photos taken. The photographer we had initially found was unresponsive, creating a stressful situation. Clemence immediately took charge, connecting us with an amazing Parisian photographer she had collaborated with previously, Lea Everin. Within a couple of days, she had arranged a two-hour photoshoot for us at the Chateau. This swift action and dedication left us speechless and demonstrated a level of commitment that truly made the entire experience unforgettable. Clemence excelled in understanding and aligning with our expectations, particularly regarding organization. She effectively utilized a shared spreadsheet to keep us synchronized on tasks and, crucially, the budget. Her proficiency with Canva was also a great asset, allowing her to create clear visual representations for elements like table settings and decor, which was immensely helpful. During our meetings, Clemence had a remarkable ability to make us feel as though our wedding was her sole focus. She also introduced us to an outstanding team of vendors, including the talented photographer Renata Amazonas and Katlyn Jernigan from Toast Catering, all of whom contributed significantly to our day. What truly set Clemence apart was her receptiveness to feedback and her proactive approach. We had several productive meetings at the venue, which fostered a sense of calm and shared understanding, ensuring our wedding would be everything we envisioned. She also skillfully managed the planning process itself, making it feel like a unique and enjoyable experience in its own right. We'll never forget how she coordinated with cake vendors; after we expressed our desire for a fun and memorable tasting, she arranged a delightful experience at the venue with Connor’s Cakes, complete with delicious samples and champagne. Given the exceptional service leading up to the wedding, it's hard to imagine Clemence could have surpassed our expectations on the actual day – yet she did. Our wedding day proceeded flawlessly. Despite concerns about potential rain leading into the weekend, Clemence had worked diligently with us to prepare for all scenarios. Thankfully, the weather was beautiful, and we had the most perfect wedding we could have ever asked for. Throughout the entire day, we were completely free of worry, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in and savor every precious moment. Thank you, Clemence, for truly making our entire wedding journey and the day itself absolutely perfect. We will cherish these memories forever.

Jimmy did an outstanding job representing the musical vibe that we were looking for at our wedding. He was super professional from the beginning, outlining exactly how he works, what equipment he has and also provided a lot of playlists to get started with. In the end I created several playlists with the type of music we wanted for each part of the day that was different and he was able to create a beautiful mood and hyped up party vibe. For the dance party he really impressed with mash ups of old and new bringing everyone to the dance floor. Jimmy was truly able to customize his sets to my taste very easily and make it feel authentic to our style and not just any typical wedding. I would highly, highly recommend GE Productions for any DJ needs.

Katherine was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer! She arrived on time, was very friendly and has an approachable demeanor. I mentioned to her that I was expecting at the time of the wedding photoshoot which she took into much consideration by making sure we took breaks in-between and offered me water throughout the entire event. Amazing! Michael did an awesome job on our wedding film! It's so beautiful and we love how he used the speeches and our vows in the background. It meant so much to us and I was in tears watching the film. He captured all the best moments of our wedding and it's a great memory for us to have and re-live.

If you are looking for an amazing wedding planning team - YOU FOUND THEM. Korina and her team were easily the BEST choice we made when it came to our wedding choices. They went above and beyond for us in every single way!! My husband, Kap and I got engaged 5/5/21 in San Diego where we recently settled down. The first and hardest decision to start wedding planning, was finding the right team. We searched through at least 20 different wedding planning teams. We got referred to Korina and the moment we met - we clicked. She just got our vision and was so invested in us as a couple. We got married on 5/5/23 so, we worked together very closely for two years!! We decided to go with the full planning package. And it was worth every penny. When Kap and I talk about our wedding, we say Korina was the best we spent. She spent a ton of time with over over a few years and kept us on track in our planning process. Korina and her team are extremely detail oriented and layed out the planning process in an easy manner. She used a software to keep us organized and it broke down each step into a task. This was HUGE because my husband and I had crazy work hours during our planning process. So we could log in anytime to see based on how far out we were, what needed to be accomplished. We chose Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla for our venue. It was beautiful but, you have to bring in all your own vendors which felt a bit overwhelming. Luckily, Korina and her team have a great reputation so, she had an amazing list of vendors she introduced us too. So, we had a handful recommended to us so, we could easily choose which one fit our budget and our vision. She also helped us prioritize where we wanted our money to go based on what we cared about most - like photography and rental design. One of the hardest things to find in a wedding planning team, is the ‘human aspect’ — this means someone who genuinely cares about you as a couple and to help you create the wedding of your dreams. During our planning process, I lost my dad. She sent some flowers and gave me some space when I needed it the most. (Literally crying thinking about how nice this was). She was so kind. Having a wedding can sometimes mean a lot of people in your life have a lot of opinions. Kap and I wanted to have a lot of non traditional things about our wedding. We made the wedding about us and our love versus focusing on the traditional things you are ‘suppose’ to have. She made this so easy and simple and supported us in every way. She helped plan our timeline down to the MINUTE! This made it easy for us to enjoy every minute and eachother throughout the day! Last but definitely not least, Korina has an EYE for design. Outside of our love being front and center, I had a specific vision I saw for Kap and I. Korina helped us negotiate with vendors, stay within our budget, and push back on our venue to use the second floor for cocktail hour. It was hard with the timing and rentals but she MADE IT HAPPEN!!!!! Korina is the definition of a sweet and hardworking entrepreneur. The day of our wedding she was calm cool and collected. She directed her team with poise and elegance. It was amazing to see her in her element. She has a tough job but by looking at her — you would never know how much she does behind the scenes. We would HIGHLY recommend using Serene Events and Design to anyone in the SoCal area. It will easily be the best decision in your wedding planning process!!!!!

Angeline was an absolute pleasure to work with! Her prices were much more reasonable than some other quotes we got, and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. We gave her some inspiration photos but trusted her to really complete the vision of the florals and I couldn’t be happier. She helped along the way with suggestions of other decor too. Our florals were so bright and beautiful and really set the mood for our spring wedding! And my bouquet was stunning!

We could not be more happy with Forgotten Barrel! Alyssa was wonderful and the vendors included in their all inclusive package (catering, dj, & dessert) were great to work with. The space itself is so pretty and has excellent amenities like both getting ready spaces, plenty of parking, and nice bathrooms. I cannot recommend this place enough!
