I was amazed by the mechanics of the time-worn device, in awe of its capability to freeze moments in time. Today, I’m an editorial and wedding photographer capturing stories filled with feeling, and my love of light and film continues to shape my craft. I’m passionate about sharing the knowledge I’ve chased since childhood with aspiring creatives and seasoned professionals alike, and I believe wholeheartedly that there’s always more to learn from one another.

Photography has always been in the family; my mum has always been fascinated by pictures and she ensured she had a camera (small ones) as often as possible. My professional journey, however, started over 4 years ago. I started by photographing my wife for her blog, next, the kiddos, and then moved on to events, weddings, and studio photography. It has been an amazing journey, constantly learning, improving, and guaranteeing every client gets the “Goksyde Experience”.

Born and raised in Maryland, I’m a creative wedding photographer. A lotta years back I jacked in my safe, noble, health insurance-providing job working with grieving families to follow a little dream I had. I wanted to take pictures. Pictures so beautiful they make people do a little cry. So that’s what I did. I also managed to bring two spirited boys into the world. That means I live a completely outnumbered existence with two males in the house but don’t worry, I’m on top of it. Being a mother is awesome and terrifying in equal measure but I don’t let it define me. Lots of people can be mothers: few can be awesome wedding photographers.

In such a way that cannot be explained or accounted for, we’re influencing imagery that brings numinous emotions. Tailoring each circumstance, or experience with the realization that each passerby has a life as vivid and complex as our own.

After my first year of college studying music, I decided to take the business route. I worked for several Fortune 500 businesses and even some start-ups. Photography initially started as a hobby but it slowly became a passion as I developed a growing desire to serve others instead of quarterly sales goals. Studying various genres of photography allowed me to discover wedding & portrait photography - and the rest is history!
