I had my surprise engagement party at Tavern 29 and was thrilled with everything they provided. My party had 80 guests and we had the entire 2nd floor to ourselves which included our own bar and bathroom. Taylor (the party planner) and Will (the manager) were great to work with and quickly answered my (many) questions leading up to the event. I visited about a dozen bars and restaurants in the area and Tavern 29 had the best space by far. Their pricing was very reasonable and they were flexible with me on the structure of the pricing. They had more food options than I was expecting and everything was delicious. They really made everything so easy, and I am very grateful as the entire party went perfectly.

Altesi and their team did an ABSOLUTELY phenomenal job with food at our wedding! Paolo is the nicest, most professional gentleman in the food business and went above and beyond to help us make our dream wedding menu. We went for so many tastings, just because we could, and we were obsessed with the food! It is some of the best food in all of NYC and such an affordable price. Our food was the most important thing to us at our wedding, we wanted there to be a variety, we wanted it to be yummy and we wanted there to be a lot of it so our guests would never become hungry. They nailed it! From the service to the attention to detail, everything was perfect and extremely affordable. It was also amazing to be able to have one vendor for all the food, servers, dessert and bar!

After not reading my contract carefully enough (READ THE FINE PRINT EVERYONE, DON'T BE LIKE ME), I realized I had booked the private event space for my wedding welcome party on the day of my wedding... and came to this realization as all our guests were already at the restaurant. Skyle appeared like an angel, and within 30 minutes she pulled together the event we had scheduled for the next day, including every appetizer in our contract and even the playlist we had sent. The professionalism and grace of the team and Skyle especially was truly unmatched. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant's food, its atmosphere and its caring and committed staff.

One of my favorite spots in the city, I highly recommend the hotel and restaurant! My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement at North Square (the adjoining restaurant) and it was absolutely perfect. This past August, my daughter Sheraden chose to get married in the vibrant city of New York. For us, it was a destination wedding, as we live just outside another great city, Toronto, Canada. From our very first meeting with Kristi Ohlin, the Catering Sales Manager, we knew we were in good hands. The team at Bryant Park Grill has an incredible depth of experience in hosting events, which became evident throughout the entire process. To say they are experienced is an understatement. Kristi and her team kept us on track from start to finish and recommended outstanding vendors, many of whom we chose to work with. While we brought our own creative touches—including some sizable props—we entrusted the team at Bryant Park Grill to execute our vision seamlessly. Coordinating wedding décor and logistics in a bustling city like New York is no easy task, but Kristi and her colleague, Diane Giovannone, went above and beyond to ensure everything came together perfectly. Their ability to understand and bring our ideas to life, even without our direct involvement on the day, was nothing short of extraordinary. The result? As I planned our surprise engagement, I wanted to choose a location to go after that moment to celebrate with a larger group of friends and family that resonated with both of us, so our local wine spot, Temperance, was perfect. Having no idea whether they would even consider a private party I reached out through an email on the website and quickly realized how kind and accommodating the staff was. We were able to rent out the back patio and fully customize the space with our own set up and outside decorations. As a part of the space rental we were allowed an allotment of more than enough food and, more importantly, a customized collection of reds, whites, oranges and rosès. I’d recommend letting the staff pick the specific wines, they’re the experts after all (they did pick one special wine just for us and immediate family based on my specific request, but I like to pretend that was just for me). It was the perfect place to celebrate with around 25 of our closest friends and family. The one downside was they have a hard cutoff of 10pm due to some vocal neighbors but the staff was very upfront throughout the booking process that that was going to be the case, so there were no surprises. Additionally, because of how much we love the aesthetic inside near the bar and the room fronting Carmine Street, we also asked if we could start our engagement photo shoot at Temperance before they opened one night. Once again, we were met with a staff that went out of their way to help us anyway they could and even gave us a glass of wine each to take the edge off of some poses that feel extremely ridiculous in the moment, but turned out to be great pictures. We were as happy with those pictures as we were with both of those experiences at Temperance.

We held our wedding at Houston Hall in October 2023. From first booking, the Houston hall event team Christon & Michelle were involved every step of the way, and had an organized process of keeping us informed. The ones that stick out were menu flexibility and options and the use of an online platform that kept all of our documentation, communication, and billing in one place. When it came to our big day, we and our guests were so pleased with Houston Hall. The food was excellent. Our guests really enjoyed the family style servings, and raved about how delicious the food was. Food came out timely, and Houston was very organized in ensuring all our guest with dietary restrictions were accommodated. Above all, the service was amazing. Both us and our guests were taken care of by friendly and efficient waitstaff and bartenders. This is something our guests still talk about. Also important to note was that our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in the same location. The staff turned the location seamlessly during our cocktail hour without our guests being interrupted or even noticing. The venue itself was everything we hoped it would be. To enhance our guests experience, we opted to rent chairs (in place of benches) and edison lights. This process was seamless, as Houston had a recommended vendor who they work with frequently to deliver and install. Houston was also very accommodating to help us deliver and store items before the wedding (for example, our table decor, rented florals and cake). By choosing Houston Hall, we had an amazing, memorable, and low stress wedding day. We would highly recommend without hesitation for your wedding, or any other big event.

Robert was a wonderful place to have a reception, with Kristi as a fantastic event manager and Richard as day-of coordinator. They were incredibly helpful and professional, and quick to answer all of our questions as the day came nearer and set up a tasting to help choose our menu. Also of course the space is beautiful, the decorations perfect, the views amazing, and the food absolutely delicious. We got many rave reviews from our guests of the food! They easily had an open bar, live piano, and cocktail hour with activities after dinner. They were very accommodating and helped us with table set up, activities, cake cutting, a screen for photos, and house music. Would strongly recommend it as a place to host any event as there were no hiccups at all. We are very glad we managed to snag it for our wedding!

We got married at The Milling Room on 12/9/23, with our family and closest friends in attendance (109 people). The entire team did a great job throughout the event. We were thrilled with how everything turned out. It's difficult to find a restaurant on the UWS that can accommodate a traditional ceremony and serve 110 people for dinner. The Milling Room did it so well! We would choose this venue all over again.

While planning an off-season wedding on Fire Island is daunting, Jim, Drew and the whole Maguire's crew made it easy! Quick responses, and really worked with us to deliver exactly what we wanted for our big day - even with some ridiculous requests. The food was incredible, setup was better, and the vibe was one that our friends and family STILL talk about to this day....6 years later! I actually can't write enough good things about this venue. It was the best day of our life, pulled off effortlessly. My husband and I are actually already planning to do a 10-year anniversary party there - at our guests' requests! We love Maguire's, and the view is not so bad either ;).

I can't speak enough about how easy it was to work with everyone at 26 West. They let us tweak the menu for our rehearsal dinner, and with views of the Navesink from upstairs it was a great night. The service was spot on, and in a day and age where there is a shortage of staff, they made sure everything was taken care of. Anything that anyone else needed they were on top of.

Thank you Allison (sales/catering director), Jordanna (sales/catering coordinator), Nemo the maitre d, Andrew the front desk at the hotel, and Stephanie of the banquet staff. This wedding was a team effort! I want to thank all of these people for working so hard to make our dream wedding become a reality. Allison was amazing, she responded to all of our emails, our millions of questions, even sometimes in the middle of the night. She even informed us of a promotion to help us save and obtain a complimentary Sundae Scoop station. The food @ Sterling Ballroom was fantastic. We had an elaborate cocktail hour which our guests are still talking about. One of our guests said she “ate her weight” in spanakopita, and multiple guests were commented on both the quantity and quality of the food. Our entrees were delicious(NY strip steak and ginger Salmon), and our guests seemed to enjoy their entrees (above options plus boursin cheese roasted chicken breast). The Sundae Scoop featured an ice cream bar complete with all the sundae toppings and Belgian waffles!! The cake provided through the venue from Chocolate Carousel, was moist and delicious in addition to being stunningly beautiful. We also chose to splurge on the perk-up station which came with coffee, espresso, fun dipping options, and featured a variety of liquors to pair! We only considered venues attached to a hotel. Sterling Ballroom is located at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tinton Falls/Eatontown, NJ. We wanted to make sure that our guests had an option to book at the venue so that they could retire to their room whenever they felt the need. In our immediate party we utilized standard rooms, junior suites, the bridal suite (only during day time of the wedding day) and the presidential suite. All of the rooms were newly renovated and attractive. Not only did they look good, but the rooms were well adorned with ample power supplies including usb charging ports. The Presidential suite was a huge selling point. This was an elaborate suite and could sleep up to 6 guests in the room and even had a fireplace! The night before the wedding, my bride-tribe had a sleepover in this suite to make sure we were ready bright and early for our early morning makeovers! At 6:30am, the bridal suite/lounge was ready for us to do our hair and make-up and looked absolutely spectacular. I am a major fan of elaborate chandeliers and the bridal lounge had one! The bridal lounge had 4 salon chairs, several refrigerators for storing food, and also a wine refrigerator. The venue even provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne! One of our girls organized a brunch in the suite, catered by Joe’s Bagels, and there was plenty of space for the whole spread in addition to all of our gear getting ready for the big day! While my ladies were getting ready in the bridal lounge, the groom's squad were getting ready in the Presidential Suite! This was huge because I wanted to make sure that the men had a place to get ready and take good pictures lol! I am a sucker for pretty chandeliers and the Sterling Ballroom had gorgeous chandeliers not only in the main ballroom, but also the event foyer and the cocktail space! The entire team did a wonderful job decorating the entrance area and ballroom. I would recommend this place not just for the beautiful esthetics, but also for the fantastic team that was an honor to work with on our special day!

Our vision for our wedding was for all our favorite people having a night out at a bar and the 76 house more than delivered! We loved the historical aspect of the restaurant and they even had little pamphlets our guests could take that shared the history of the venue. This is a bit of an untraditional wedding venue (as it is a restaurant) but that didn’t stop anyone from dancing and having a great time. From the moment we started working with Elisa (our “wedding planner” aka the woman who runs the show) she was detail oriented while willing to work with us throughout the whole process. Whether it was from payment, table arrangements, food, getting the vendors set up, etc. anything we needed, she helped. The food tasting she set up for us was amazing allowing us to try various options for the dinner. We are both laid back people so we let the chef go with any appetizers he wanted. You are able to request anything you want and they will likely be able to do it for you. The chef did not disappoint, ALL of the apps were incredible. We had one guest mention he ate 20 meatballs they were so good. There was chicken, steak skewers, lamb chops, meatballs, hummus/veggie spread (that wasn’t even all that was served). We had eaten at the restaurant a few times so we knew the food was good. However, having to serve 120 people and still make it delicious is tough but they did it well (we went with the chateaubriand, amish chicken, mahi mahi, and vegetable risotto). We requested no pork or nuts for the whole wedding. We had a wedding cake through a bakery they recommended and they also put plates of small desserts out on the tables. Aside from the food, the service was amazing. All the waiters and waitresses were attentive and extremely professional. For us, we constantly had our champagne filled and asked whether we needed something. They were on top of water refills, drink requests, clean up, etc. We really appreciated the service given to us and our guests. We heard so many times during cocktail hour that every time someone turned around they had a food option. While we did not have to go up to the bar, our guests said the bartenders were awesome, quick, and generous! Elisa worked great with our other vendors as well, making sure they had everything they needed and that things were kept on schedule (food, dances, cake, etc). We had a completely stress free evening which allowed us to have the time of our lives. She ensured that our tables were set with the centerpieces, the florals were set up, and she created a menu for us (which is great to have something taken off our plate). Elisa also, set up our various signs and ensured everything was where we had discussed. We were able to drop everything off ahead of time and not have anything to worry about the day of. Our biggest concern going to this venue was the fact that the front room was partially separated from the rest of the restaurant. We decided to sit people there who we knew would be a bit rowdier and on the dance floor so it wasn’t an issue for us at all. It did get pretty toasty in there but we were dancing the whole time and it’s an older building. The air tried its best and while sitting for dinner it was more than comfortable! We are a crazy group so I’m not surprised we were sweating lol. This was the best day and a HUGE part of that is thanks to Elisa and her whole team at the 76 house. Food, service, people are TOP NOTCH. We could go on and on but ran out of space :)

The Shore Club was a cost-effective choice for our wedding venue. The communication with their event coordinator was direct, easy and quick, making planning straightforward. While the venue itself is dated with a basic design, we felt it was a good value for the price. The simple layout allowed us to decorate the space and make it our own for the big day. Guests commented that they enjoyed the food. We had about 170 people in their large ballroom and it was packed. I wouldn’t recommended for parties closer to 200, unless able to max out all tables at 10-12 guests. For couples looking for an affordable venue option without too many frills, The Shore Club offers convenience and practicality.

The best decision we made for our wedding was choosing 618. There are not enough wonderful things to say about 618! We were all completely blown away. The communication, professionalism, service, the food, the ambience… absolutely everything was perfect. Our guests have not stopped raving about our wedding. It was truly a dream. The day ran so smoothly. From the cocktail hour to dessert, everything was absolutely delicious. An unexpected plus was that they also packed up EVERY little thing for us. We were able to come back the next day and take all of our centerpieces, leftover food, our painting, anything extra we left behind. They treat every thing with such care, it was truly incredible. Every person I talk to, I recommend to 618 for them for ANY event they will have or even just to go for dinner. 618 never disappoints!

Where do I even begin? We got married at the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn on May 23, 2024, and it was nothing short of perfect. The entire wedding planning process was made easy thanks to everyone at the OldMill Inn and Grain House. They are very responsive, which is crucial when planning a wedding. My grandmother and grandfather had their wedding reception here back in 1957, so I knew I wanted to meet with them to discuss having my wedding there. It was the first and only venue we met with. After going on a tour and discussing the different packages with Lea, I was sold. They take care of your accommodations, catering, bar, cake, tables, chairs, etc. My wedding planning “to-do” list was cut in half! Everyone is so accommodating and they really work with you to make sure your day goes perfectly. So many guests told us how they never experienced wedding food to this level. Everything was DELICIOUS! Better yet, we actually got to eat as the bride and groom. The property itself is gorgeous. John was our Matre d’ and he was the best! He made sure we stayed on time, he ran food from the cocktail hour to me and my husband when we were taking photos, and he coordinated with our vendors so we didn’t have to worry. His efforts did not go unnoticed. Once again I had guests come up to me and tell me how amazing he is. I also had guests reach out after to tell me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. All of our vendors were fantastic but the Old Mill Inn and Grain House really did the bulk of the work to make it an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself was wonderful to stay in, everything was so clean and the breakfast was delicious. I wouldn’t change a thing about my wedding day, everything was perfect and I really have the Old Mill Inn and the Grain House to thank for that. I would recommend the Old Mill Inn and the GrainHouse to anyone planning a wedding. It really is the ONLY choice in my opinion. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful experience hosting our wedding rehearsal dinner at Bistro Seven Three. Their unique indoor/outdoor space provided a fancy yet private setting for our special event. On the event day itself, the servers were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure everything went perfectly. The Factoria was the perfect venue for us. The reception area is stunning, with huge panoramic views of the Hudson River, letting in tons of natural light. We had a short ceremony in the annex, which was super convenient being in one location. The food was delicious!! From appetizers, to salads, and entrees, everything was a hit. They make a delicious espresso martini. The event staff were helpful and friendly to all guests as well. About 6 months before our wedding date, we were invited to the venue for a tasting with several other couples, which made us feel so confident about the food, service, and overall venue. They set everything up to feel like a wedding, with a mini cocktail hour to try the appetizers, then seated dinner to try all of the entrees. Megan was very professional and extremely helpful every step of the way, reminding us when documents and action items were due ahead of schedule. On the day of the wedding, Megan made us feel like celebrities. I highly recommend using the bridal suite, it was like a private oasis amongst the chaos of the day. I got ready there with some of my friends while my family helped set up our DIY decor. Megan was extremely accommodating to my party, helping us at every step of the way. We even got a box of leftovers the next day! It's like we relived the best day ever all over again.
