“Hiring Nate with the Paperboys team might have been the best decision we made during our entire wedding planning process. My husband and I are (very picky) creatives by nature and trade so we knew that we wanted to be very intentional about our choice of photographer for our special day. Our venue was a historic hotel that requires you to work with one of their select partners, something we initially were a little hesitant about due to its inherent limitations. Most partners listed had very technically beautiful photos but nothing that excited us creatively. Until we saw their most recent partner addition: Paperboys. We loved the playfulness, talent, and imagination that was deeply valued with the team and quickly connected with our photographer Nate both creatively and socially. It was apparent that he truly loved his craft and was easy to communicate our vision with, always making sure to ask helpful questions and take the time to study our provided resource materials. Without prompting or extra charge, he also opted to bring his own film camera to snap some artsy film shots on the actual day, an above and beyond move that shows how much he genuinely just loves what he does. The finished photos absolutely exceeded expectations. His signature style we loved shone through while also managing to capture the exact essence of what we were hoping for stylistically. And as someone who specifically struggles with body confidence and anxiety, he was able to make me feel safe by providing a calm presence and plenty of posing guidance. This allowed me to truly just exist and enjoy the day, which is something I genuinely wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to manage, and therefore the most wonderful gift in and of itself. TLDR: Just hire Paperboys already and thank me later! You’re welcome.”

Photography was very important to us and the images Jenna captured on our wedding day are nothing short of a dream! We knew shortly after meeting with her that we were a great personality match and she's someone we'd enjoy spending our wedding day with. Leading up to our wedding, Jenna was very supportive and willing to meet with us to discuss details. We had already had engagement photos done by the time we met with Jenna, so we met her in person for the first time on our big day but it felt like we already knew each other. “I found Erin through another DC wedding photographer who wasn't available on my wedding day but highly recommended her based on their similar photography style: classic and elegant. These adjectives were exactly what I wanted for our wedding day - someone who can capture our big day, while also finding beauty in the smallest details to the grandest backdrop. When I shared her work with a number of photographers, they quickly identified Erin's work was exceptional. After our first video call, I found Erin so easy to talk to and knew that I could trust her on our big day. When we first started to work with her on our engagement photo shoot, Erin was so fun and made us look so effortlessly beautiful. I was terrified of looking awkward, but she knew all the ways to make us look natural and elegant. Erin was also prompt in getting us our engagement photos since we wanted to share them on our wedding website; many of our friends and family were shocked by how amazing we looked in the DC landmarks. Weeks before the wedding, Erin went to our venues to get a feel of the atmosphere and to figure out if there would be any other issues (such as other conflicting events that would impact our wedding party photo shoot). Her attention-to-detail and making sure she was familiar with the locations truly made me feel like she was going above and beyond! Fast forward on the wedding day, Erin and her team arrived on-time and worked seamlessly with the vendors and the wedding party to ensure both my husband and I can focus on each other. She knew how to guide the wedding party and our families during our photo shoot, making sure everyone looked their best! One memory comes to mind was when a bridesmaid pointed out: "Wow your photographer is willing to get her flats wet in the Portrait Gallery's water scrim so that she can get the best angle of us..." This is exactly what I mean that Erin was delivering top-notch quality service! After the wedding party, family and couple portrait photo shoot, Erin and her team worked quietly in the background making sure they were capturing us perfectly during our ceremony. We also had a tea ceremony as part of our cocktail hour and Erin did a phenomenal job photographing the ornate details of my culture. One of the next most important part of our wedding was the reception - which she took dreamy classic photographs of us, our guests, along with the finer details of the flowers, cake and the whole elegant vibe. It was all so surreal to see the photos captured so perfectly. From Erin's quick turn-around in getting our photos back (less than two months!) to her amazing and positive attitude, I am so relieved and blessed to have Erin as our wedding photographer.
