Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. At Bentwood our packages range from single day to multi day rentals for added ease and relaxation. You've spent all of this time planning for your big day, why rush with just a few hours to execute it? Our single day rental allows access to the property for up to 14 hours. While our MOST POPULAR package offers a weekend rental with lodging allowing for early setup, rehearsal and time to host a dinner. With the following day being all about your event. Finish cleanup the next morning and check out. A few things that make our property unique, besides the weekend rental, is that we also offer onsite lodging and rv hookups! How convenient is that? Tiny T Ranch is a working ranch with a wedding chapel. We are SUPER laid back and we only work with super laid back couples. We are not a fancy high-end venue. If you dig nature, farm animals, and a relaxing time, we might be right for you. We invite prospective clients to come and see the place, meet the team, and see what you think. In addition to the Tiny Chapel there is a 1325 square foot reception hall. It is DIY. You set up and break down. You can rent our tables and chairs if you want. If you need an officiant, one lives on-site. There is a bridal cabin and a man shed for grooms. Or if you’re two brides or two grooms, y’all can flip a coin and see who gets what space. You can easily fit 80 guests in the reception hall so if it rains, you are literally covered. We have hosted hundreds of weddings from elopements to bigger events. Summers Mill Retreat and Conference center has been built on a rich history. When it was founded in 1998 by Paul and Jane Meyer, they wanted "this place to be a ministry and to lead with a servant’s heart based on Christian values and principles." The name of our retreat center goes back to the grist mill built by John Myers in the spring of 1866. Business was good and within a year, he added a saw mill and a cotton gin. When John Myers died, it passed in rapid succession through the hands of Robert A. Myers, Douglas McKenzie, and D.C. Summers. Summers installed a crossroads store and secured a post office under the name of Summers Mill.
