The name “Mundano” originates from the Spanish word for “worldly” and Chef Ross Henke took this into account when building the menu. Segnatore is a Humboldt Park Neighborhood restaurant inspired by the hidden history of the folk healers in Italy. Influenced by the anthropology in the evolution of traditional and regional Italian cooking, Segnatore's menu created by chef Matt Troost is rooted in tradition and flipped with a contemporary twist that is made to be approachable and communal dining focused. There is an emphasis on utilizing herbs and ingredients that are locally available. All bread and pasta served at Segnatore is made in-house. The beverage program designed by Natalie Smythe follows Italian traditions of using what is local, naturally available, and provides a little something for everyone.
