The Barrow Mansion has rental space available for a variety of occasions—community events, cultural performances, private parties and weddings—and can accommodate anything from an intimate party to a large blowout. There are three rooms that can be used in any combination for your party’s needs, as well as a large kitchen with a 10-burner Garland stove. We also house the nation's oldest bowling alley, which may be rented at a small additional cost.

Portico is a storybook wedding venue located in a 55 acre arboretum in the historic Germantown neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia. This magical locale is perfect for romantic celebrations. Once the private enclave of an extended Quaker family, the Arboretum is a green oasis in a densely-populated urban environment with the Francis Cope House as its centerpiece. The gracious Quaker stone mansion has floor-to-ceiling windows and a magnificent wrap-around porch from which guests can survey the picturesque English landscape of specimen trees, woods and rolling meadows. Imagine meandering trails, wetlands, open fields and a peaceful pond! The venue's capacity is 160 with outdoor dining on a flagstone patio and white tent encircled by landscaped gardens.

For over a century patrons have found comfort in this historic building nestled in the heights of the Meadowlands, presently home to Ivy Inn. Opened in the 1870’s as a stagecoach inn, travelers in horse and carriage along Polifly Road (later named Terrace Avenue) stopped here to eat and drink in the tavern below and sleep in one of six guest quarters above. After the turn of the 20th century, the inn evolved into a fine dining restaurant (a popular speakeasy during Prohibition), but eventually fell into disrepair. On Valentine’s Day of 1997, after extensive restoration, the inn once again opened its doors for fine dining, renamed Ivy Inn. Ivy, the symbol of love and marriage, has proven to be a fitting name. Since reopening, the restaurant has witnessed countless marriage proposals, weddings and anniversary celebrations. Continuing its long legacy of hospitality, the inn is once again a Bergen County favorite and continues to inspire cherished memories for many years to come.

Parisian Social is a brand new private members club and private event rental venue unlike any other. Equipped with a fully fledged kitchen so members or hired chefs/caterers can create their own unique concoctions in this iconic space. Inspired by the irreverent Elsa Maxwell, a famous NYC Socialite during the 1920’s. The New Yorker recently compared it to a Harvard Finals club in the city and Elle Decor called it “New York’s Lavish New Social Club.”

The Ballroom is part of the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center. Formerly the Methodist Church built in 1843, the Ballroom is the original sanctuary complete with choir loft which is often used for wedding ceremony, gift table or head table. Stainless steel kitchen available for catered food warming. Chair lift onsite for handicap access to this second floor venue. Shuttle service available with parking for 80 cars.

At the heart of the thriving early industrial community known as Rittenhouse Town, the first paper mill in America was built. It all began when, in 1687, papermaker William Rittenhouse followed other Quaker and Mennonite families emigrating to the newly formed neighborhood of Germantown (founded in 1683). William partnered with Philadelphia’s first printer, purchased a 20-acre plot of land along Paper Mill Run (a tributary of the Wissahickon Creek) and, with the help of his son Nicholas, built the first paper mill in British North America that otherwise could only be delivered from England. For the next 40 years, the Rittenhouse family were the only papermakers in America.

Situated in historic Greenwich Village, this spacious and versatile venue was constructed in the early 1900’s as one of New York’s first parking garages for cars. (The original parapet is still visible and says “Tassi Garage”). The house was bought in the 1960’s by a well known American artist who decorated it with an eclectic mix of architectural antiques. The 2500 foot square Ballroom with its 15 foot high ceiling, painted brick walls and wooden floors is a spectacular setting for weddings. A floating staircase leads to the more intimate Garden Room., which is a veritable greenery with a Neo-Renaissance fireplace, an Art Deco bathroom and a mix of classic and bohemian furniture. Opened in 1929 as an original Loew's Wonder Theatre, Kings Theatre underwent an extensive restoration and reopening in 2015. The historic Kings Theatre reopened its doors in February 2015 as one of New York’s premier performing arts venues. Providing a destination for large-scale popular entertainment and serving as a resource for local arts groups and community organizations, the City-owned Theatre is a cultural and economic cornerstone of the Flatbush community. Bolingbroke Mansion was built fifty years before the American Declaration of Independence and is just fifteen miles from where that historic event took place. This location has six event rooms, including several excellent outdoor ceremonies and reception locations. Indoors, the mansion can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. You'll find a beautiful staircase in their gardens that provides a stunning backdrop for photos. There is a side porch overlooking the sprawling green lawns and giant trees for cocktails and receptions. Stone-raised stairs and a landing in their memorial garden provide the ideal backdrop for any wedding ceremony, speech, or picture session. Seasonal flowers, lovely deciduous trees, and evergreens can be found in the magnificent private gardens that lead off Bolingbroke's back patio. The House of the Redeemer is a cultural and historical treasure to the neighborhood on the Upper East Side of New York City, offering a unique setting for reflection, study, fellowship, and prayer. It is a place apart, providing worship and hospitality for individuals seeking spiritual renewal. The House is a perfect location for weddings with a guest list of 100 or less. Our chapel on the second floor can hold up to 30 people with ease for small intimate wedding ceremonies. For larger weddings, the Library provides the perfect backdrop for a ceremony and can seat up to 100. An outside courtyard is an option for cocktails during warmer months, while The Refectory will accommodate 80 for a seated formal dinner.

The Italian Academy for Advanced Studies is a fellowship program for post-doctoral scholars, who work in offices on the fourth and fifth floors of Columbia University's Casa Italiana building, the Academy's home on the main Morningside campus. (We also produce a variety of prestigious public events.) The building is located on Amsterdam Avenue just south of 118th Street. Wedding celebrations are most often in the Teatro, the 2nd-floor 2000-sq-foot ballroom with an adjacent outdoor terrace. We give several options for superb full-service caterers who consistently provide excellent food and service at fair prices. The Italian Academy provides a Public Safety guard, custodial cleaner, optional chairs and AV equipment, and a house manager to assist with making your planning easy and pleasant.
