After extensive searching, we stumbled upon this place via family friend recommendation. It was perfect! The owners responded quickly to any questions and concerns we had. Not only was the venue GORGEOUS, but we, as well as the wedding party, were able to rent the venue the night before and the night of the wedding. It saved us a lot of stress because our wedding party was all in one place! This also allowed our vendors to set up earlier in the day. We love Red Tail Ranch and are planning on spending a weekend there in the near future!

The Ranch at Stoney Creek was the perfect venue for our wedding weekend. Their communication was always timely, helpful, and friendly, putting us at ease throughout the planning process. They reminded us of things that we hadn't thought of throughout the planning process and always had an option for a solution if we did not have one. The quality of their work and overall value was truly breathtaking - the floral bouquets they put together were beyond what we could have imagined, and their coordinator Michelle has an incredible eye for detail, ensuring our vision came to life in their tranquil and versatile space. Having a 3-day wedding celebration was something we had never heard of before, but The Ranch made it an absolute dream - from the welcome party with s'mores on Friday, to the main event on Saturday, and the farewell brunch on Sunday. We relive our special day over and over and cannot thank The Ranch enough for everything they did to make it so memorable.

We knew that we wanted to get married at David Girard Vineyards as soon as we toured the property. It is truly magical and breathtaking place, and Justin Sawyer (on-site wedding management team) was so professional and helpful. The venue was very flexible in allowing us access as we needed for rehearsal and on the day-of (bridal suite, etc.). I would absolutely recommend this venue to other couples. Nestled halfway between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite in the high Sierra, Bear Valley is a paradox of sorts — a vast alpine basin filled with all the means to explore four seasons while being so small it feels like a private escape to granite-filled solitude. Winter’s snow brings unhindered-by-lines access to skiing and snowboarding amidst 360-degree views of the Sierra. Mokelumne Peak, the shining star of the Mokelumne Wilderness and the Stanislaus National Forest, plays as the immediate backdrop to a day making turns at Bear Valley Resort. By summer, the snow gives way to hiking and mountain biking trails (rentals available), a disc golf course in the Village, and kayak rentals for the surrounding lakes, the closest of which, Lake Alpine, is only a small trek up the road. If you are staying on the Mountain in a glamping tent, Lake Alpine is just about a mile away.
