How does hosting a wedding work at Tahoe Blue Estate?

Our venue is unique in that our venue and accommodations are combined into one! This means that when you rent the home, you have access to the entire estate for the duration of your time with us (min. 3 nights). All of our quotes are calculated by total nightly rate, hotel tax, cleaning, and our base event fee (upgrades are available that include mahogany folding chairs and 60 inch rounds).

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes, since you are renting the home (like with any vacation rental), you are welcome to bring your own alcohol!

Do you have on-site parking?

Accepted Answer

Parking is allowed in the garage (2 car) and the driveway only (fits 8-10 cars, depending on size). Street parking is strictly prohibited so we suggest that couples either have their guests carpool, hire a shuttle service, or provide guests with an Uber/Lyft code. Please contact us for shuttle service recommendations if needed!

Do you have accessible facilities?

Unfortunately one of the only downsides with having a home built into the side of the mountain is the fact that there are quite a few flights of stairs that are necessary to get into and around the home. Because of this, the estate is not wheelchair accessible.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

As long as cancellation occurs more than 60 days prior to check in, you will receive a 100% refund. After 60 days, all fees paid are non-refundable.

How many hours are included in our booking?

Your reservation includes usage of the home for the entire duration of your stay. Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am (early check in/late check out may be available for an additional fee, please contact us for more information)

Is there a local noise ordinance?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Douglas county has strict rules/regulations against excessive noise and quiet time is from 10pm - 8am. All outdoor music and noise must be done by 10pm sharp, but you can continue inside (as long as doors and windows are shut) for as long as you would like!

How much is a stay at Tahoe Blue Estate?

Most 3 night weekend stays with our event fee range from $10,000 - $15,000 depending on the time of year! Contact us for a quote specific to your dates!

How do we get to your venue from the nearest airport?

Accepted Answer

Tahoe Blue Estate is located up Kingsbury grade on the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe. Reno Airport is the closest to our home and is about 1 hour away.

Question 12

Do we need to get insurance?

Accepted Answer

We do require our couples to purchase event liability insurance with liquor liability (if you will be serving alcohol). The cost for this is usually around $200 and we have an insurance company you can use if you would like (although you can also find many options via Google as well!)

How many guests can we have?

Accepted Answer

The Estate is set up for an event of up to 75 guests. For overnight stays, there is a maximum occupancy of 22 people.

Do we need to hire other vendors separately?

At this time we are venue only (with some minimal table/chair rentals available). All other vendors will need to be hired separately! You are also welcome to DIY any parts of your big day that you would like!

Question 15

Can we move the furniture in the home?

Accepted Answer

You are more than welcome to move furniture, we just ask that you return it to its original position at the end of your stay. The only pieces that cannot be moved are the dining room table. The pool table also can be moved but there is potentially a $150 re-leveling fee that will be applied to your stay should it become unbalanced.
