Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Whether you are looking for a memorable barn wedding venue for your special day, a unique event space for your corporate meeting, or a beautiful place to celebrate one of life's special moments, the Texas Rock House is the place to be! The team at Texas Rock House was open, understanding and a bit busy, but they made our special day truly wonderful. The venue was very beautiful and affordable, which was important to us as a young couple. The owner, Erin, did her best to help as much as she could to make the days leading up to and the day of our wedding as easy as possible. She was very personable and good at collaborating with us. When it started raining on the day of our wedding, Erin was very quick to come up with a solution and it ended up being an awesome celebration despite the weather. We are so grateful for the Texas Rock House team and would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a gorgeous and budget-friendly wedding venue.

Lone Star Manor was great to work with. They have a nice catering kitchen and a dumpster on site which allows me not to have to charge my customers an extra fee for cleaning. Also the venue is beautiful with the exposed brick walls and real wood floors.

I fell in love with Lone Star Oaks while it was being constructed. The owners had clearly thought of everything. Watching it being built gave me the opportunity to come to know and deeply appreciate the owners. They are professional, gracious, generous, helpful, kind, funny, and fun to work with. As a wedding officiant, I have the privilege of being at lots of venues. I always know my work will be appreciated and I will experience their gracious hospitality. Therefore, Lone Star Oaks is a clear favorite.

Angel Springs Event Center was a dream venue! It felt like it’s own little gem tucked away from the rest of the world. We had our wedding there is March and it was truly the best day of my life. The property is filled beautiful old trees, white fences, fields and log cabins. The ceremony and reception space was dreamy! The ceremony overlooks a beautiful field surrounded by these same old and winding trees. The sun sets over this field and creates an ideal setting for stunning photography. The event space has amazing stone walls with vines growing around the outside and stunning chandeliers inside. Natalie runs the space and was our day of coordinator. She was the best decision we made! She is kind, patient, and gets things done swiftly and with grace. I would recommend this place highly for a wedding or any event.

The Terrace at Highland Lakes was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication style was direct, understanding and open - they were always quick to respond to our questions and accommodate our needs. The quality of their work and value was exceptional. We had our wedding at about 4:30/5 P.M., which was a great time with the sun setting and creating a beautiful glow. The deer were outside watching it all, and the overall view was simply stunning. The inside was clean and open, but the best part was the bridal suite - it was the perfect space for us to get ready in comfort and style. Gabi, the day-of coordinator, was the ultimate MVP. She accommodated us with just about anything we asked for, constantly made sure I was fed and hydrated, and even stepped in to help my bridesmaids with anything they needed. She did more for us on the day than our year-long planner. I wish I had Gabi as my planner as well, because she truly made our special day even more magical. We are so grateful to the entire team at The Terrace at Highland Lakes for helping to create the wedding of our dreams.

Summers Mill Retreat and Conference center has been built on a rich history. When it was founded in 1998 by Paul and Jane Meyer, they wanted "this place to be a ministry and to lead with a servant’s heart based on Christian values and principles." The name of our retreat center goes back to the grist mill built by John Myers in the spring of 1866. Business was good and within a year, he added a saw mill and a cotton gin. When John Myers died, it passed in rapid succession through the hands of Robert A. Myers, Douglas McKenzie, and D.C. Summers. Summers installed a crossroads store and secured a post office under the name of Summers Mill.
