From the moment my husband and I entered the Collingswood Grand Ballroom, we knew we had to have our wedding there. It is simply beautiful and has a certain charm to it. It is classy without being in your face. Many of our wedding guests have told us how beautiful the Collingswood Grand Ballroom was, that the grand staircase was so elegant, and how much they enjoyed the wedding there overall. The bridal suite is also incredible and the natural light that gets in is stunning -- it really made for the excellent photos. In addition to the pure elegance of the Collingswood Grand Ballroom, the customer service was top-notch. Beth and Paula were very responsive, attentive, and were really helpful through the whole process. They made everything so easy for my husband and I the day of the wedding. We could not be more happy with our decision to have our wedding at the Collingswood Grand Ballroom, and could not recommend it enough as a place to have yours!

The NSCDA/PA owns its Headquarters House located at 1630 Latimer Street in Philadelphia. Built by and for the Dames under the leadership of Mrs. James Starr, Jr., the house has served as the Dames home since its completion in 1923. The building was designed by the Philadelphia Architectural firm Ritter and Shay. Marion Coffin, one of the first female landscape architects, was instrumental in desgining the garden which is a four seasons delight to all who use the house. Headquarters is the setting for Philadelphia Stated Meetings, the meetings of the Board of Managers and its Committees, and for the Society's Annual meeting. The archives of the Society, including lineage papers of our members, both living and deceased, are housed here as well. Headquarters is also available to the general public to rent for weddings and events.

The Warwick Hotel is an historic Philadelphia landmark that combines both an incredible location right off of Rittenhouse Square and picturesque architecture and design making it an ideal spot of weddings and other events. David Lyons, the Banquet Manager, is the definition of "not all heroes wear capes." Our story is unique in that our original wedding venue flooded three days before our party. In a frenzy, we called every venue we could find. When my wife spoke with David, he was calm and collected, got our information, and promptly looked into hosting our event. When he called us back saying it was possible, we went to see the space. He put together an estimate before we arrived and we signed on the spot after a brief tour. David has tons of experience with weddings and events and his confidence to put on our party in such a short turn around gave us the calm we needed to enjoy our special day. He even matched a lot of the original food options we were offering at our original venue. The landmarks nearby offer a variety of nice backdrops not to mention the space itself for fun photos. The main ballroom is a great size for a large band, great size dance floor, food stations or a sit down meal and a large guest list. As the bride and groom we were also given a complimentary stay in the presidential suite! A much needed rest after the stress and excitement leading up to our event. We had an emergency and David put out the fire and went above and beyond to make our event run smoothly. I can't say thank you enough to David and the staff at the Warwick for saving our wedding party!

The Hotel Palomar went above and beyond for our wedding weekend in the spring. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and morning after brunch as well as our room block at the hotel. The even coordinator, Erin S. and the entire team involved went above and beyond every step of the way. Five months before our wedding, I had to have major surgery and quarantine for two – three months after. I was unable to attend our food tasting but my fiancé and both sets of parents went on my behalf. Erin was not only understanding but supportive as my own family and friends were – checking in and celebrating with me after the surgery. When the tasting came, the chef sent home full-sized portions for me to try at home. This was in addition to the full-sized ones my family tried as well. The entire staff was there to answer any questions from me or our family. We had several dietary restrictions which Erin coordinated with the chef on our behalf to make sure those guests were included without having to worry. We had a memorial table as well as several things to be set out (guest book, favors, name cards, etc.). I gave all these items to the team and it was fully taken care of for me and they even knew which favors were to be for gluten free guests. Erin provided a list of pre-approved vendors they had worked with before (we didn’t have to use these) and we ended up using a lot of them. Erin coordinated with them directly as needed, photography locations for if it rained and DJ timeline. Due to the top tier efforts of the entire hotel, we were AHEAD of schedule the entire weekend which really allowed everyone to be fully present. My bridal party and I were in the suite for preparations and they continued to go above and beyond. We had a team member bring us our food and coffee order and he was so accommodating. He brought iced coffee when I mentioned that’s my preferences and we talked about our pets since I had my dog with me (as did several of our guests). Our guests were also well taken care of – from unpacking cars for their stays to helping our vendors get to their locations. I would sit here and list every name of every person that I felt were stars but honestly, it was the entire team. Everyone I encountered the whole time was a five star person. I cannot recommend this location enough for any occasion including just a regular weekend stay in Philadelphia.

We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner for about 35 guests and were thrilled with the results. Kiran, the General Manager, was professional and added a personal touch to every detail. She meticulously handled the menu and paid special attention to those with food allergies, who later commented that no other restaurant had been so considerate of their dietary needs, especially with such a large group. Sura's fabulous drinks menu set a convivial tone for our gathering. The space we used was elegantly separated by a discreet and pretty curtain, providing privacy for our event. The Moshulu was the first venue we looked at and we instantly fell in love and knew it was where we wanted to host our wedding reception. First, the ship is absolutely stunning and we knew it would give such a unique experience to our guests. Because it has such charm and character, we were able to focus on key details like centerpieces and signage rather than needing to worry about dressing a blank space! But more importantly, we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding because of how well we were treated by the Moshulu staff during every single interaction from our first tour until the big day! Jake was the absolute best to work with through everything! We found many other venues stick to a “cookie cutter” approach or up charge for every little thing… but as a vendor, the Moshulu was so incredibly flexible, collaborative, and accommodating with their wedding package to truly make it OUR day. It was such a pleasure to collaborate (and we really do mean collaborate!) with Jake and team on our vision, and our guests commented on the beauty of the ship all night long! We would highly recommend anyone host their event at the Moshulu!

We have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about Andreea Denes with catering. We've worked with Andreea for about a year and a half now and she feels like family! Andreea is both professional and personable and ensured we knew all our options for a reception at the Loews. Andreea helped us take advantage of all the amazing event spaces the Loews has to offer (cocktail hour on the 33rd floor, reception in the Millennium Hall, after party in Bank & Bourbon) as well as created a custom package for our reception and cocktail hour that reflected everything we could have wanted. Maria and Lena with the room reservation teams were so wonderful to work with, taking amazing care of our families and accommodating all our changes and requests. The entire Loews staff (catering, concierge, front desk, etc) was absolutely wonderful during our stay. Our guests are still commenting on the exceptional service. About a third of our wedding guests stayed at the Loews and expressed it was the perfect location to spend the weekend exploring Philadelphia.

I chose this venue because it was in a prime location, was historic, and I did not know anyone else that had been married here. The staff was so accommodating and friendly, and the planning process was seamless. Our wedding weekend was beautiful and everything was decorated perfectly. we absolutely loved our wedding and cannot recommend this venue enough, whether you are having a small wedding or a larger wedding.

We held our wedding at The Franklin, with photos on the steps and around the museum, a rooftop service followed by cocktails in the life sciences and energy galleries, and dinner and dancing in the Rotunda with the Ben Franklin National Memorial. Start to finish the days was seamless, organized and amazing. The combination of the quality of the organization (we did not need a wedding planner, the staff at the Franklin did 90% of the work), the food and catering, lighting and small touches all made the day the best of our lives. On top where else can you drink a Martini in the Giant Heart and dance under the stars in a National Memorial. Can not recommend them enough !!!

I highly recommend the Curtis Atrium if you want to have a grand and luxurious wedding experience. The entire building is stunning, and the food by Constellation Culinary was excellent! The staff was friendly and easy to work with; they also went above and beyond to find accommodations for special requests. All of our wedding guests RAVED about the food and the venue. I can't thank the Constellation team enough for making my night so special.

Arch Street Meeting House is a historic wedding venue located in Old City Philadelphia. The land on which Arch Street Meeting House stands was officially deeded to the Quakers in 1701 and used as a burial ground until 1872. The building was constructed in stages from 1803-1811 when need arose of a larger Meeting House in Philadelphia. The site is still an active place of worship in addition to being used as an educational museum space, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011. It is frequently rented for conferences, weddings, dinners, and graduations. The building sits on just shy of 2 acres, and our grounds include both grassy & brick spaces and lots of mature trees. The entire site exudes an overall historic charm.

Arch Street Meeting House proved to be the ideal spot for our wedding. Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for and how her team could help bring it to fruition. They allowed us to close the grounds to the public so that our guests could mingle and sip champagne outside in the beautiful weather. All of the guests commented on how tangibly historical the venue was and how they loved the simplicity and timelessness of the ceremony space. (Which looks absolutely stunning in the few preview photos we've gotten back.) Because it was so much more affordable, we also decided to hold our rehearsal dinner there and hired a taco truck to act as the caterers. All in all, I can't recommend ASMH or Jenn and the team more highly!!

FringeArts is a unique venue in Old City with two versatile spaces that can be rented separately or together, based on the couple’s vision. Most often the spaces are rented together. Our restaurant can seat 80 or host a standing cocktail reception for 150. FringeArts can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner in their space. The two spaces are separated by a moveable air wall. We can host a ceremony and cocktail hour in the restaurant and in Haas Biergarten right outside, and then open the wall to reveal a dining room space in the FringeArts theater. After dinner, head back out to the main bar and hit up the dance floor, or head outside to Haas Biergarten. Outside we have a bar that is operational May-October, lawn games, fire pits, and a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge!

My husband and I hosted our summer wedding with La Peg at Fringe Arts last summer and it could not have been a more perfect day and the best planning and execution experience, from start to finish. We were an out of town couple planning our wedding here, as we moved from Philly to DC, so communication was really important throughout the process, and everyone we worked with made sure to keep communication open and frequent. We loved how unique La Peg’s atmosphere was for our black & white, modern, elegant black tie wedding. The exposed brick, high vaulted ceilings, and industrial, urban elements juxtaposed perfectly against pure white floral clouds hanging in their theatre space, with dark linens. Everything I had envisioned in my mind came to life perfectly in this space. The first reason we wanted to have our wedding here was because when we lived in Philadelphia, we loved dining here and their food was always incredible. It was even better on our wedding night. We had the best experience hand selecting our menu, having a lot of flexibility and our guests were wowed with the options we selected, along with a bar that was fully stocked and no glass was ever empty. A year later and guests are still raving about how unique our venue was, how incredible the food and drink was, and how seamless the staff made the entire experience. My husband and I say the same. I would do it all over again with them. The absolute best night of our lives. Thank you to everyone at La Peg at Fringe Arts for making our wedding so perfect and memorable!

Stunning venue - the display garden is truly a one in a million place to get married. We initially planned to have our cocktail hour outdoors as we wanted to highlight the reflecting pool but unfortunately the weather didn’t permit - we had cocktail hour inside and it was still incredible. The whole team there was impressive and the food was truly delicious. My standards for wedding food are pretty low but it was excellent, and many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had (and they’d eat it again if they could). The whole team was lovely to work with. So, so glad we got married here!!

Yards was perfect for our wedding! The ambiance is modern but cozy, perfect for our 110 guest list. Carolyn was great to work with, she was responsive and made sure everything we wanted to be incorporated into the day was accommodated. She and her team set everything up nicely and took care of putting out our personal touches. Our guests raved about the food, it was just as good day of as it was at the tasting. Bartenders were great, all the staff was great really. Highly recommend if you have a medium sized guest list and want a more laid back vibe rather than a formal or stuffy event hall.

Camden County Boathouse was by far the best and easiest to work with for our wedding. The place has a beautiful interior, modern lighting, a calm atmosphere that you can style into your own thing, and the best views of the Cooper River! We loved having our wedding at Merion Tribute House! Their venue provided the perfect backdrop for our big day. Communication with their staff was quick and easy - they responded to emails promptly and made planning low maintenance. The venue itself is a beautiful castle like setting that made for gorgeous photos. The grounds were very well kept and perfect for our outdoor ceremony. One thing we appreciated was their BYOB policy, which helped control costs. They provide a list of preferred caterers and officiants that made booking easy. Overall, Merion Tribute House offers a beautiful setting at a reasonable price - would highly recommend them for your wedding or special event!

"We had our ceremony and reception at The Ardmore Music Hall July 2017 and would choose it all over again! Our guests rave to us still that it was the coolest and best wedding they have ever attended. We are owners of a party band that perform at reception venues all over the tri-state area and we chose AMH because we wanted to marry on stage in a fun, relaxed, and unique environment. The staff could not have been more service-oriented from preplanning meetings up to and including servicing the guests. We have many compliments for the manager Sara for allowing us to decorate as we wanted, making "themed cocktail drinks", coordinating the rest of the very friendly staff and for going above and beyond etc.. We had many bands play throughout the evening and all of the musicians were impressed with the sound crew at AMH, they were absolutely perfectionists with the sound and lighting! Most compliments that we received were that it was such a warm, cool vibe, filled with love throughout the event....exactly what we hoped for. "

I knew from the moment we ended our tour that DCC was the venue for us! Terri greeted us at the tour and walked us through their newly renovated ballroom. My guests are still raving 2 months later about the venue and the high quality dinner and deserts. They REALLY loved the food. My church ceremony was 45 minutes away, so my willingness to travel that far between ceremony and reception is a testament to have amazing DCC is. I wanted a venue were I was confident I wouldn't be worrying about any thing on my special day and DCC provided that. I was able to use their table numbers, glass vases, and back ground arch wish saved me those additional expenses/decisions to make. Terri also offered us a card box, but I opted to use my own so I could add a lock even though the box was securely placed by the sweetheart table. Decision fatigue is so real but with Terri I never had any worries about my reception. I last minute decided to have Sean Reilly, who sounds just like Frank Sinatra, sing during cocktail hour. It was no problem for them to have a dedicated space for him and assist him in his set up. Their flexibility, understanding, and positivity was amazing. The venue is large with a lot of space! The cocktail area is large and the ballroom is beautiful. None of my guests had to wait for drinks since the bar staff was super efficient. It rained a lot on my wedding day, but Terri was super prepared and explained to me the adjustments she would make in the placing of the decor. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Terri and DCC and recommend it to anyone getting married! We had so much fun and are so grateful for Terri and her team! We held my daughter's wedding at Whitford Country Club 10/14/23 and could not have been happier with the event. Our wedding coordinator Dawn was amazing. Throughout the planning process she was accommodating and flexible with meetings and tastings, working around our schedule as my daughter was living out of town. Her attention to detail was meticulous, incorporating our input at every step along the way. We received many compliments from our guests about the food, which was plentiful and delicious. In addition, we had to switch from the planned outdoor ceremony to indoors on 2 days notice based on a rainy forecast, and the transition was seamless with a beautiful set up for the ceremony, thanks to Dawn and her staff's very hard work being the scenes. The evening was everything we all had hoped for and I would highly recommend this venue.

Our first batch of Manayunk Brewing Company beer was tapped on October 17, 1996. Since then, we have brewed more than 600 different varieties of beers, and have been selling these sought-after styles all around Philadelphia and New Jersey. Our brewers continue to explore new takes on classic styles, especially when it comes to sour ales and India Pale Ales. We had our wedding here on 9/29/23 and our wedding day was completely stress free and everything was perfect! Deyna and Paris went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process and helped us with anything we needed along the way. The food was delicious and our guests came up to us multiple times throughout the night to let us know. The signature cocktails we selected also tasted great and the service was top notch. It rained on our wedding day so we did not get to use the deck but the space held all of our 110 guests just fine. Everything was great!! The staff was amazing, the food was raved about and the drinks were flowing! They let us come in and setup the day before and then come back 2 days later and collect the items we left behind. Appleford was the perfect venue and our day was in a word - surreal.
