St. Cecilia Music Center

  • Select services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $900

St. Cecilia Music Center is a historic wedding venue situated in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, MI. When booking this facility for your big day, there are numerous event spaces to help bring your dream wedding to life. The Dexter Ballroom features elegant hardwood floors, west-facing windows, two Steinway grand pianos and a large kitchen. The ballroom can accommodate 250 standing guests or 184 for a plated dinner. There is also the Wege Recital Hall. It has enough space for 100 standing reception or 48 for a plated dinner. The room also boasts two grand pianos, a small kitchenette, and a fireplace. More-private gatherings may be held in the Mika Music Library, which provides couples and their loved ones with a warm, inviting atmosphere. It has walls with oak paneling, parquet floors, a piano, a kitchen, and a fireplace, and it can seat up to 48 guests. In addition, couples may avail of these and the venue’s other luxurious event spaces for their wedding ceremonies.

We had the most wonderful experience at St. Cecilia's on our wedding day! From booking to the day of the wedding, Nadine was so helpful! Communication was wonderful leading up to the day. We even got a layout of our table setup to send to other vendors. They were also so accommodating when we decided to move the buffet to the lower level of the building. Choosing this venue was truly a worthwhile investment! We were originally concerned about the option of only one bar vendor. But we now know why they prioritize them! Martha's catering went above and beyond for us and the bartenders were wonderful. They clearly know the venue and have a lot of experience. So do not let the catering options deter you, clearly St. Cecilia's has them picked for a reason and you can trust your vendors! Have I mentioned that the building is gorgeous!?! The ballroom is stunning and the rooms are all so magical. It is such a beautiful wedding venue. Our guests had a wonderful time!

The Goei Center

5.0

Grand Rapids, MI
  • Up to 400 guests

  • Indoor

For the couples who love architectural history and modern finesse, check out The Goei Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This historic loft-style venue sits in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids and appeals to couples seeking both urban elegance and industrial-chic class. The Goei Center originally served as the Kindel Furniture Factory and was restored back to its original splendor. Couples may host large weddings with up to 400 guests within The Goei Center. Exposed brick walls and original wood beams contrast with the crystal chandeliers and twinkling lights, making this wedding venue classic, unique and unforgettable.

We rented The Kindel Room for our wedding ceremony and reception on 9/23/23 and working with Goei Center staff (specifically Katie and Kylie) was an absolute DREAM! Throughout the entire year and a half prior to the wedding, Katie and Kylie were incredibly quick to respond to every single one of my emails. Every response was thorough and they were SO kind, even when I had a million questions and my emails were like novels. They were very organized and professional, and made sure to think of/ask about everything I could possibly need to consider. When the big day finally rolled around, everything went PERFECTLY which I definitely attribute to the Goei Center staff being so well trained and prepared. Not to mention, when the ceremony and reception space was all set up with my personal touches plus the additional add-ons from Kindel Room (string lights, uplights, gorgeous wood guest chairs, farm head table, greenery on the chandeliers).....the whole space looked STUNNING!! The natural wood floors, exposed beams, chandeliers, and openness was exactly the vibe we were going for and we got TONS of compliments on how beautiful the space was. We plan on recommending Kindel Room/Goei Center to anyone and everyone, and if we are ever in need of an event space again in the future we will definitely be going back!

Bissell Tree House at John Ball Zoo

5.0

Grand Rapids, MI
  • Up to 180 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,500

Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the John Ball Zoo, the Bissell Tree House is one of West Michigan’s most unique event spaces. This hidden gem provides couples an amazing view of the downtown Grand Rapids area with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows. With its tree house feel and large covered veranda sitting at one of Grand Rapids' highest land points, couples can get that sense of being on top of the world as they share their love with family and friends. All proceeds benefit the conservation missions and animals of John Ball Zoo!

It has been nearly four years since my wife and I were married in the Bissell Treehouse, and there's not a week that we don't look back at our photo album, and reminiscence of our amazing experience there. We worked with Skye through all of the planning and setup, and I cannot experience how unique, amazing, and beautiful the venue is. We called it our treehouse adventure, and it was nothing short of that. The layout is excellent, it has great views of Grand Rapids, many of the bigger vendors work with the Bissell Treehouse, and overall it was a very easy process to get everything setup and squared away. If you have the opportunity to work with them, do it, it will be remembered forever, by you and all of your guests.

Leona Road

5.0

Grand Rapids, MI
  • Up to 300 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor

The old school just down Leonard is now Leona Road. A modern event venue in Grand Rapids with weddings on the mind. The walls are the same but the stories they’ll tell are all new. Originally built in 1916 as West Leonard Elementary School and fully renovated in 2020–2021, Leona Road is a wedding and event venue with Scandinavian Modern styling from the experienced team behind The Cheney Place, Fringe Events and PUNCH Bar Catering. With 19,000 square feet, a large outdoor terrace and free onsite parking, there is plenty of room to host your wedding for up to 300 guests.

We loved working with Leona Road and the venue was perfection. Having everything from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception in one place was amazing. It was so fluid and the renovation of the building is MADE for weddings. Plus, the pics are just stunning.
