Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the John Ball Zoo, the Bissell Tree House is one of West Michigan’s most unique event spaces. This hidden gem provides couples an amazing view of the downtown Grand Rapids area with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows. With its tree house feel and large covered veranda sitting at one of Grand Rapids' highest land points, couples can get that sense of being on top of the world as they share their love with family and friends. All proceeds benefit the conservation missions and animals of John Ball Zoo!

The Bissell Tree House at John Ball Zoo was an absolute delight to work with. Their communication was very quick, clear, and always on time, which made the planning process a breeze. The quality of their work and the venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with wonderful views and a great atmosphere that truly contributed to making our special day so memorable. The staff was on site and ready to assist in any way needed, and there is truly nothing quite like the Bissell Tree House in Grand Rapids. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a unique and stunning location for their wedding.
Stunning Venue and excellent team!
My husband and I attended a wedding at the Bissell Tree House in May of 2022, and before we were even engaged I said to him that I wanted us to get married there. This location is so stunning at any time of the year, but during our October 12, 2024 wedding, it couldn't have been more perfect. We had an absolutely gorgeous day and the venue was surrounded by fall colors and just a gorgeous ambience. Hilariously it started raining just as our ceremony was about to start, but because of the overhand of the roof above the ceremony location, no one got wet and we got to have a magical ceremony while the rain was coming down around us. The team is very helpful and worked with our vendors so well. Many of our guests complimented how organized and kind the staff were. Do yourself a favor and get married at the Bissell Tree House, you won't regret it!
A Once In a Lifetime Event
It has been nearly four years since my wife and I were married in the Bissell Treehouse, and there's not a week that we don't look back at our photo album, and reminiscence of our amazing experience there. We worked with Skye through all of the planning and setup, and I cannot experience how unique, amazing, and beautiful the venue is. We called it our treehouse adventure, and it was nothing short of that. The layout is excellent, it has great views of Grand Rapids, many of the bigger vendors work with the Bissell Treehouse, and overall it was a very easy process to get everything setup and squared away. If you have the opportunity to work with them, do it, it will be remembered forever, by you and all of your guests.
