About this venue
St. Cecilia Music Center is a historic wedding venue situated in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, MI. When booking this facility for your big day, there are numerous event spaces to help bring your dream wedding to life. The Dexter Ballroom features elegant hardwood floors, west-facing windows, two Steinway grand pianos and a large kitchen. The ballroom can accommodate 250 standing guests or 184 for a plated dinner. There is also the Wege Recital Hall. It has enough space for 100 standing reception or 48 for a plated dinner. The room also boasts two grand pianos, a small kitchenette, and a fireplace. More-private gatherings may be held in the Mika Music Library, which provides couples and their loved ones with a warm, inviting atmosphere. It has walls with oak paneling, parquet floors, a piano, a kitchen, and a fireplace, and it can seat up to 48 guests. In addition, couples may avail of these and the venue’s other luxurious event spaces for their wedding ceremonies.

Beautifully appointed with a platform stage, two grand pianos, ornate pillared walls, a fireplace, and a small kitchenette, this charming space is suitable for wedding ceremonies, recitals, receptions, showers, meetings, and more! Our full-day rental rate will give you access to the room from 12pm to 11:30pm on the day of your event.

Amazing Staff and Venue
Working with St. Cecilia Music Center was a fantastic experience. Their communication was always on time, professional, and friendly, which made the planning process seamless. The quality of their work was exceptional - the venue was both functional and beautifully designed, and fit perfectly within our budget. The staff was amazing to work with and ensured that everything ran smoothly and on time on our special day. We are so grateful for the great service and support they provided.
Gorgeous Space
As a wedding vendor, the folks at St Ceclia's make planning a breeze - they are always available for any questions we have! As a catering partner for the past few years, we've seen so many different events in their space. The Dexter Ballroom is definitely one of our favorites!
St. Cecilia’s Music Hall
The team at St. Cecilia Music Center was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was quick, kind, and welcoming from the very first interaction. The venue itself is truly elegant and beautiful, providing the perfect formal setting for our special day. They also provided my bridal party, and my grooms party each with a suite to get ready in. Nadine, the wedding coordinator, was incredibly helpful in keeping everything on schedule and organized behind the scenes. She provided a detailed packet to ensure all our vendors were aligned. We could not have asked for a better venue and team to bring our wedding vision to life. Highly recommend St. Cecilia Music Center!
September Wedding
We had the most wonderful experience at St. Cecilia's on our wedding day! From booking to the day of the wedding, Nadine was so helpful! Communication was wonderful leading up to the day. We even got a layout of our table setup to send to other vendors. They were also so accommodating when we decided to move the buffet to the lower level of the building. Choosing this venue was truly a worthwhile investment! We were originally concerned about the option of only one bar vendor. But we now know why they prioritize them! Martha's catering went above and beyond for us and the bartenders were wonderful. They clearly know the venue and have a lot of experience. So do not let the catering options deter you, clearly St. Cecilia's has them picked for a reason and you can trust your vendors! Have I mentioned that the building is gorgeous!?! The ballroom is stunning and the rooms are all so magical. It is such a beautiful wedding venue. Our guests had a wonderful time!
