“The rating is only out of 5, but Matt is an infinity out of 5. Since our first meeting at a coffee shop to get to know each other, my husband and I knew we liked Matt. He’s sincere and serious about photography and making his clients happy. He is very attentive and good at following up. Initially when we were considering photographers, Matt made sure to check in with us to see if we were interested in booking him, but he was not pushy about it. Matt offered us a discount when booking with him as he thought the three of us would be a great fit, which only sweetened the deal. Before our engagement session, I told Matt I was worried about an allergic reaction I had (though my talented hair and makeup artist took care in covering most of it), and when my husband and I walked up to Matt, he told us how great we looked. During the session, Matt kept things lighthearted and really made my husband and me comfortable. We had never gotten professional photos taken together or in general, so we felt a little nervous/awkward being the focal point of the lens. That quickly faded away, and we had a fun time, which translated well in our photos. As we all left the session, I expressed some insecurities I had, and Matt (along with my husband) quickly reassured me. Matt’s policy is to send sneak peek photos within 48 hours, but because he is not only outstanding and talented (plus I think he wanted to make me feel better), he sent me one or two photos a few hours later! I could not believe it. My friends and I were obsessed and could not wait to see more. He sent the rest of the sneak peeks the next day and then the full engagement gallery a few weeks later. Every time he sent photos, Matt would send sweet, complimentary messages. We love every single photo! The day of the wedding, I got a little upset due to the stress and other circumstances, and Matt (and his second shooters) were all very sweet, telling me not to rub my tears so I didn’t smudge my makeup. They were extremely supportive and reassuring. Matt was super accommodating the day of the wedding (and throughout this whole process), and my friends and family/wedding guests liked him. As always, he was fun, energetic, and calming all at once. It was important to me and my mom to welcome professional photos with our guests if they wanted them, and Matt was accommodating with my requests and discussed when it would be best to capture these. We agreed on cocktail hour before magic hour/sunset photos. Unsurprisingly, Matt got us sneak peeks of our wedding photos THE NEXT MORNING after having left our wedding at 10 p.m. the night before. The sneak peeks he shared were outstanding, and it was amazing to see how beautifully he captured our day and love. With the help of my hair and makeup artist as well, Matt depicted me and my husband so well and true to ourselves; I’ve never looked or felt better and most like me in my life. He delivered our full wedding gallery about seven weeks later, and he apologized for being “late.” We weren’t concerned at all and were shocked because he gave us 1,023 photos, which was much more than we expected. We love every single photo, and our friends and family think all the photos are stunning. If you need a hype man, efficient professional, or supportive friend, book Matt. You won’t regret it.
