“The best decision you can make for your wedding (besides your soon to be spouse!) is to hire Hector. We bought one of the packages with music, lights, and photo booth. All I heard throughout the night was “I love every song!” Or “this is my favorite song!” I was worried that no one would be dancing and the floor was packed all night. We didn’t want the dancing to end. Not to mention that the photos from the photo booth were amazing, lots of great props. I had no idea how weddings work - schedule, timetables, etc. Hector patiently explained what should be done when, helped with music selections for cocktail hour and dinner, kept us on schedule all night, and overall was a really fun addition to the party. His online system is really easy to use. Also, I felt that he went above and beyond the call of DJ, seeing as my dress caught on the door as I’m about to walk down the aisle and have no hands free. He was there fixing it before anyone could notice what happened. “THE DANCE FLOOR WAS PACKED, ALL NIGHT. The Metropolitan Players are amazing!! We’re so glad we chose them for our wedding. We worked with Mandy throughout the process, Siobhan was our day of coordinator, and the band members were all wonderful. We love live music - a band who can command the room, having as much fun on stage as the guests dancing below. They sang their hearts out, had fun horn solos, and would lock eyes with me (bride) like a concert, and we’d do the rock and roll hand sign to each other. It was SO much fun. Our guests LOVED the band. When we were gathering ourselves before our first dance, we looked at each other and said wait a second, is that OUR wedding band?! Playing our first dance song?! Do I hear horns?! They’re so good!! How lucky are we! People would come up to us and say holy cow did you hire a 30 person wedding band?! No, of course not, but they had the presence and sound that carried as if they were a much larger band. REPEAT CUSTOMERS - A bit about our process - we went to a number of showcases in NYC, where wedding bands play live, so you know what you’re getting before hiring them. We got a ton of quotes (15). We parsed through bands we’d seen at other weddings. We saw many bands who were much worse live than they were in their videos - scary when you’re booking them for one very important day! When first engaging with the Met Players, we were nervous because they don’t do any live showcases (they cost a lot of money and don’t want to pass that financial burden onto couples in final booking costs.) We thought - how can we be sure they’re great if we can’t hear them live? We went back and forth with Mandy (couple coordinator) to get comfortable. We scoured the internet and any tagged videos on YouTube and Instagram. Unlike other bands, they post unedited content, so the sound is what you’d actually hear the night of (shot on iPhone speakers). We read every review we could find on the internet. We spoke to couples who’d worked with them in the past. Ultimately, while all the research and people we spoke to did wonders to help us get comfortable, the final piece that sold us was the number of repeat customers. Many reviews were from friends or family of a couple that hired the Met Players in the past, who loved them so much that they booked them for their own. Families who’d worked with the Met Players two and three times. Everyone had great things to say so we took a leap of faith. And we are SO glad we did!! The unedited videos don’t do justice for what they sound like in person - they’re much better! END TO END A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE We can’t say enough good things about the Met Players. They’re spectacular, seem to be having as much fun as the guests, have great energy, are amazing performers, and are exceptionally organized and informative throughout the process. We asked them to learn a few new songs for us (including, importantly, our first dance song) and each one felt like they’d been playing it for years - they were that good. They paired our first dance song down to be our desired length - even better than the original! We had a guitarist play during our ceremony, acoustic and beautiful, and not two hours later were tearing up the dance floor. The dance floor was packed all night! If we were to plan our wedding again knowing what we know now, we’d choose the Met Players again, every time. We’re so grateful for everything you did to make our wedding special and feel like us. Thank you!!”

“In today's world everything is extremely overpriced and service is terrible. My wedding was very stressful for me because of this. I did not have a DJ or a Photographer and honestly was considering just something small scale, until I talked to Ed from DJ Double E. I would give them 10 stars out 5. From the minute I talked to Ed it was a breath of fresh air from the million other outrageously priced DJ's. The price is unbeatable but that's not why I would recommend them. They are absolutely phenomenal and made my entire wedding. The music was perfect from ceremony to the last dance. They were so professional, so involved and so fun. We had a daytime (early) wedding. It is so challenging to get people up and have a good time at 12:30 in the afternoon, I was having meltdowns about it, they reassured me but had the entire place up and having fun. You didn't know if it was day or night. They helped us more than the attendants at the venue. Over 100 guests said how amazing they were. The pictures they took could not be any better. Any other DJ who had packages like this (photo booth etc...) were THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS, more!!! I really hate to admit but I'm not easily pleased however I would put my name on the line for DJ Double E after how they made my wedding. DJ Double E exceeded all my and my husband's expectations and -consider yourself lucky if you hire them for any event. I'll be calling them again!!!”

“We booked Collins Entertainment for our October wedding at the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville, CT. We had an unbelievably amazing experience with this company from the top to the bottom. Our DJ, Jared, was exceptional with music selection, a master emcee, was accommodating and seemed to be everywhere at once. My guests left saying he was the best DJ they've ever seen at a wedding for how many hits he put out. He was able to read the crowd really well, and knew how to get everyone on the dance floor. Jared had battery-powered setups for both the ceremony and reception, so we didn't have to worry about outlets in a remote area outdoors, which was very nice. Our planning sessions with Jim, Mitch, and Jared were comprehensive and they gave us all the tools we needed to succeed. The package price was very reasonable too, and was a leading factor for why we chose them as well. We used their mirror photo booth as well, which was very fun. Led by singer, songwriter, and recording artist Melody Rodriguez, the band can be heard in numerous styles such as Latin Pop, Boy Bands and 90’s nostalgia, while authentically performing standards and classics with powerhouse vocals.

“When looking for a band for a multicultural wedding, we knew they had to be special. Just the Melody was the first band we reached out to and it was clear from the onset that we didn’t have to look any further because we knew they were the ones. Throughout the entire experience, Melody and Edvin were an absolute dream to work with. They were incredibly responsive and took the planning process seriously while also keeping it fun. We were able to have multiple planning meetings where they clearly listened to our vision and more specifically the energy we were hoping to bring to the entire evening. Our wedding included multiple different musical moments that Just the Melody was able to provide with aplomb. The ceremony was romantic instrumental music that transitioned to modern pop instrumentals during the first half of the cocktail hour. Then a Mariachi band took over the second half of the cocktail hour with Melody providing gorgeous vocals for a few songs before the 12-piece band took over the magic for the rest of the night. The band with Edvin as MC matched the energy of our guests the entire night in a way we never expected. After our first dance, a beautiful rendition of Luis Miguel’s”Por Debajo De La Mesa”, the band moved right into a wondrous lineup of Latin music including Cumbia, Bachata, and Salsa that got our guests up and on their feet. From that point forward the dancing was nonstop with both American and Latin music filling the air. They also helped us celebrate the joining of our Jewish and Latino cultures by playing the Hora followed by La Vibora De La Mar. Edvin and Melody worked well with our venue to time our fathers’ speeches when our guests paused for a moment to eat and they were thoughtful with the tempo of the night by pairing this with our father/bride and mother/groom dances. After dinner they brought the energy right back up and we even got to see some of Edvin’s unreal dance moves when the 90s/2000s pop music started up. We could absolutely not believe it when they allowed us to come on stage and belt out one of our favorite songs (Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle”). It was a living dream (especially for the bride). We cannot say enough how much both of us and all of our guests absolutely adored Just the Melody. We have been told multiple times by our guests that they didn't expect to go to a concert along with our wedding and that they loved every minute of it. And we did too. The music the entire evening was exceptional and better than anything we could have come up with in our wildest dreams for the evening. Thank you Melody, Edvin and the entire Just the Melody crew - we could not have chosen better for our wedding!!”

I remember reading all of Business Time’s reviews/testimonials back when we first began our wedding planning, and thinking “wow how is it possible for EVERY single review to be so glowing?”. Obviously a 2020 wedding meant a lot of plan changes and stress, but Mark and Business Time had our back from the get go and were ready to support whatever version of a wedding we were able to have. That turned out to be an intimate backyard tent wedding with just us, our immediate family, and the rock ‘n roll band known as Business Time (as Zach likes to say). We were hoping to make the best of things and have as much fun as possible with our family given the circumstances, and BT delivered! Our small group was up on their feet dancing all night. Several faces were melted during lead guitarist Zach’s amazing guitar solos. The band has a masterful ability to read the room and change the set list as needed on the fly, mix genres, and seamlessly transition between songs. They are all extremely talented musicians and we felt so lucky to have them perform for us in our own backyard. “Believe it our not music was the MOST important thing to me as a bride. Ive had the privilege of working with Atmosphere Productions for many years now as I am a wedding photographer myself. One thing I always knew was, when I’d be working with Sam as a vendor, it would be a stress-free, well coordinated and energetic wedding. His pure love for music is infectious and even on the days when I was exhausted from working for 12 hours, you’d always catch me out on the dance floor if he was the dj. So when I choose him for my own wedding, it felt like a no-brainer. One thing I made clear up front is that a lot of our music might not be typical and that we wanted the music to literally be the soundtrack to the day through our eyes. Music has been a BIG part of our relationship and we wanted that to be part of our wedding just as much. When I worried that my choices in music might be too obscure or not even available- Sam assured me he had everything we choose and more. He understood the “feeling,” we wanted and simply took our suggestions and filled the rest with his picks which we loved since he is the expert! The preparation prior to the wedding was what surprised me the most. Being a wedding photographer I had NO idea what was involved for the DJ. This was very eye opening and Sam took the time to sporadically check in, throughly go through each step of the day and easily accommodated our not-so-traditional families. He asked questions and mapped things out so that by the time the day came I KNEW Sam had everything he needed and even when a couple things changed that day he took care of it like a rockstar. All the care, time and energy Sam provided for our day made him the best choice and his rates match his quality ten times over. “Stephanie, aka DJ Stardust, DJed our wedding in June of 2023. Neither of us are huge music people, so we were looking for a DJ who could run with minimal direction, and Stephanie was exactly that! She was very organized and communicative leading up to the wedding day. She had a great form that we filled out with all the details you could possibly imagine in terms of songs we wanted/didn’t want/when, and she executed exactly as we expected. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were in three different rooms/spaces, and Stephanie seamlessly moved through providing appropriate music (and emceeing) at each. The one special thing we asked her to do was coordinate a “photo dash” (where everyone sitting at each table comes up to the dance floor for a group photo within the time limit of one song), and she did it very well. She accidentally skipped a table at one point, but rather than making a big deal about it, she joked about it and everyone laughed. The photo dash was one of the most talked-about things after our wedding. Something unique that our venue offered was the chance for DJs to plug into a high-end speaker system they had installed for a small fee. We asked Stephanie to do this, and at first she was hesitant because she didn’t want to be using equipment she wasn’t familiar with day-of (understandably!). Of her own volition, she reached out to our venue and coordinated a time where she could go see the equipment and practice setting up to make sure it would work with her equipment and just generally feel it out. We really appreciated her going above and beyond in this way, and the day of the wedding went off with no issues at all.”
