Abby was a lovely addition to our wedding planning process and helped bring our vision to life. As someone who prefers to stay hands-on, I was initially hesitant to hand over control, but Abby made me feel more confident about letting her take the reins on the big day. She also assisted with our rehearsal for an additional fee, which was helpful and made everything run more smoothly. On the wedding day, Abby ensured that my partner and I didn’t have to stress about the little things. She was great at managing the details but remained approachable, coming to me with questions or clarifications when needed. When my partner and I started to feel overwhelmed and quite frankly, annoyed, by the constant chatter, the crowd, and the never-ending hugs, Abby was incredibly understanding. She reassured us that it was our day and that we were free to do whatever we needed to feel comfortable. Her calm and supportive words were exactly what we needed to refocus and enjoy the moment. Her familiarity with our venue, the Estate at Whitehall Vineyard, was a huge plus and helped everything flow seamlessly. She’s never met a detail she couldn’t wrangle or a problem she couldn’t solve. You can always expect Janice to keep it real — a communication style you’ll be thankful for when dealing with budgets, wedding day mania, and drunk Uncle Ted.

My husband and I found Janice through her blog and were drawn to her transparency about an industry that can often feel opaque and hard to navigate. We met with two other potential planners, but we decided to follow our initial instinct and put our trust in Janice. She did not disappoint! Janice kept the entire planning process incredibly organized and did an amazing job of finding vendors that aligned with our (sometimes very specific) vision. Anytime we started to feel overwhelmed, Janice was ready with a detailed timeline, polite-but-firm reminder emails, and a very encouraging attitude. Janice was also very receptive and enthusiastic about helping us incorporate important cultural elements into our day that she had not had experience previously (ex. A Japanese kagami biraki ceremony). Most importantly, Janice was extremely reliable. For example, my bridesmaids and I were supposed to get our hair and make-up done at a hotel the morning of the wedding, but after we woke up to a power outage and alerted Janice, she immediately jumped into action arranging a new location and updating the beauty and photo teams about the change. She then raced over to the hotel to help me and my MOHs pack up my wedding dress, shoes, accessories, and bridesmaids gifts and convinced the concierge to let us use the emergency freight elevator so that we wouldn’t have to run down 15 flights of stairs. Her husband drove us all to the alternate location and, miraculously, all of the hair, make-up, group photos, and dressing were completed with a whopping 15 minutes to spare! Despite the early morning switch-up, the rest of the day went off without a hitch and we knew the wedding couldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren’t for Janice’s work (both in the planning and the day-of coordination). We are so glad to have hired Janice and 100% recommend Bellwether Events.

This is a way too late review for a spectacular wedding planner and event designer who brought to life the wedding of my dreams in June 2022! Lauren and her team truly provide a 5-star experience in every way and more. Before I met Lauren, I had a vision for my wedding, but really wasn't sure how to bring it to fruition. I was walking through the "steps" recommended in different timeline sheets, which in itself is very tiring, and starting very big picture. But as anyone who has planned a wedding knows, the details start to become very, very overwhelming - especially when there's a specific look and feel you want for your wedding. Where do you invest your time and money? That's where Lauren was a lifesaver. Some key moments in our work together included: aligning us via several conversations and an inspiration deck (really important for making sure you're on the same page), meeting me at a rental facility to walk through design elements together, coordinating with family members to make sure she got a comprehensive picture of what really mattered to me (bless my partner, he couldn't care less), and "secretly" working with family members to make the vision "bigger and better" and surprise me. Lauren also has an IMPECCABLE eye for how to bring all the million details together. She hand-selected and/or advised on every detail, from utensil colors to linens to stamp types to wax seals - all the tiny details that create a full "experience" for you and your guests, but by the end, you don't have energy to pick yourself! Moreover, Lauren is incredibly professional, warm, direct, patient, and supportive - all traits you need in a planner and designer. She will also tell you what she thinks, which is essential, particularly in the home stretch! By the end, Lauren was responsible for creating the wedding of my dreams. I can truly say it was the most magical weekend of my life, and while all weddings are so special when you have the people you love, it doesn't quite feel *spectacular* without all those details coming together. I am happy to share photos of my event with anyone who asks, or simply look at Lauren's instagram for her incredible work. Thank you, Lauren - we were so lucky to find you!!! 3

Words cannot define the worth and joy it was to have Kawania and her team be a part of my wedding day. She was a constant advocate for our needs and budget throughout the process, being realistic at every turn. What I know now is that what you get with Kawania is experience and know-how of the industry. She has planned several weddings and events before and knows how to troubleshoot mishaps that may happen on the wedding day in real time. She understands that the day of the event is a special moment for everyone involved and she knows not to bring stress to the wedding party and to allow them to live in the moment. At subsequent weddings, I have felt that my friends needed this approach with their planners on their wedding day/weekend. I, being their guest or in their bridal party felt the disorganization that their planners or self-planning brought. This was not the case with Kawania. We had glowing comments about our wedding day for even a year after and how it was not just a ceremony but a day of entertainment. She is an excellent communicator. We had regular meetings throughout the year, about once a week. I have seen my friends have wedding planners who do not get back to them for several days after they have a question about their wedding. Kawania brought my vendors to me instead of me having to look for vendors on my own and when one did not work she always had another one that could take the place. She set up meetings with me and my vendors one-on-one and reviewed all of our vendor contracts to make sure that we were getting a fair contract and that expectations for the vendor and for us were both reasonable and what we were looking for. Being a very busy working professional I appreciated that Kawania went above and beyond to make sure that I stayed on the schedule and was extremely patient when there were moments when I could not. I value how she brought my vision to life and had such great attention to small details that my day was exceptional. I have seen my guests feature elements of my wedding at their subsequent events and it speaks to how she was able to set the bar high for what a classy and unique event should be. Far beyond a wedding planner, she has become someone that I keep in contact with after the wedding. She even checked in on me when there was a major catastrophic event that took place in the area where I lived months after the wedding. There were even moments when I became uncertain or stressed and focused on the wrong thing when it came to my wedding. Kawania, quite like a mother figure helped me realize what my focus should be and to ignore all other distractions so that when I walked down the aisle, I was in full confidence of how the day was going to be and did not feel a single ounce of stress on my wedding day. I could not be more thrilled to work with Kawania again. Although I do not see myself getting remarried I would certainly work with her for any big event I needed in the future. She has such a positive energy and global about her and brings a light to every interaction even difficult ones that makes her pleasant, respectable, dependable, and all around the absolute reason why my big day went off such success. I cannot state how tirelessly she and her team worked so when I did meet them in person but felt like I was meeting friends who knew exactly what I wanted. You will not regret working with Kawania and Howerton Wooten events!

When it came time to plan our own wedding, we weren’t completely sold on the idea of a wedding planner, but our friends told us how we should consider it because of their experience with Create You Events. For them, Vicky and her team were able to assist with a lot of the burden of wedding planning and coordination and said their help was definitely worth the added cost. We remembered the positive first impression we had when we saw them in action at our friend's wedding and decided to have an introductory call. Vicky and her team were very flexible on the services and packages to meet our specific needs. We ultimately decided to have them help us with planning, design/decorations, and day of coordination. For planning, Vicky and the team showed their expertise in the wedding industry. For us, we weren’t as familiar with all the terminology and customs for weddings and Vicky was able to guide us through everything from the best way to talk to vendors and what to look for when touring our venue. She helped keep us on schedule in terms of what work needed to be done throughout the months leading up to the wedding date, and was great at motivating us throughout the process. She and her team stayed up late through the night to do planning calls with us, and were always available and responsive for any questions we had. The team members were so patient and understanding, and great sounding boards for every detailed decision, no matter how small. When my wife had minor decision fatigue melt-downs over whether or not to pay extra for chargers and colorful linens, or which exact flowers to include in the bouquets, Vicky and her team were there to talk through our thought process and help us get to a decision we felt comfortable with. We also had the Create You Events team help us with designing our wedding invites, menus, programs, and signage, which all came out beautifully. They really understood what we were looking for in terms of colors and styles and were able to just take some sample Pinterest pictures to be able to make amazing designs for us. As for the wedding day itself, we ran into many logistical issues with our venue and the (lack of) venue staff. Vicky and her team really stepped up to fill in multiple roles last minute, and make sure everything went smoothly for us. There were so many issues that we didn't even know about, and the Create You team handled them seamlessly. Looking back, we’re so glad we decided to spend the money to have the Create You Events team help us for our wedding. If you’re thinking about having a team help you out for an event, we highly recommend hiring Vicky and her team. Their support and guidance during our wedding planning process and during the wedding day itself were really indispensable.

Our venue included a day-of coordinator, which we were skeptical of, but they pretty much insisted. As the months went along, and our planning progressed, our point of contact at the venue changed 3 times. I still had no idea who my day of person would be, but they assured me, someone would be there. With the amount of turnover in the venue's staff, we just didn't feel comfortable trusting that this would be the case. I reached out to a friend who recommended On.Hae.Productions and we spoke with Angie and I just immediately felt better. Angie assured me she would be there for me every step of the way and thank goodness she was. I am not even going to go into the number of things that were missed by the venue, mainly due to the staff changes and notes not passing hands etc, and thankfully, Angie knew our entire vision and was able to swoop in and make sure that the right people were where they needed to be and when. She had to correct the placement of the DJ and the layout of our tent because of course it threatened to rain etc. She just made what could have been problem after problem, turn into a smooth event. We cannot stress how thankful we are to have had Angie and On.Hae.Productions. She really is that insurance package to make sure your day goes right. And, I have to say, she's extremely easy to work with. She listened to what we wanted and made great suggestions based on our ideas, instead of telling us what we wanted and we really appreciated that. It went off flawlessly, thanks to Fran. Our wedding ceremony and reception were on consecutive days. She printed and framed ceremony pics to display at the reception. She kept an eye on tipsy guests and let us know about potential issues. She found seats for the guests who I had carelessly left off the seating chart. She picked up, deployed, and returned the table cloths and had special little decorations for our table.
