Old Coon Creek Inn was a fantastic venue for our wedding day. Their communication throughout the planning process was straightforward, timely, and non-ambiguous, which made it easy for us to stay on top of all the details. The quality of their work and value was outstanding - the outdoor space was beautifully maintained, had a charming, rustic feel, and was very fairly priced. We were able to visit the venue a few times to help with decision-making and planning, and they worked closely with us on the table and chair setup to have everything ready when we arrived to add our personal touches. They also recommended a wonderful on-site coordinator who was invaluable in ensuring our day ran smoothly. The flexibility they provided with vendor choices for various areas was also greatly appreciated, and because we were able to bring in a lot of our own elements, it was very cost-efficient for us. We couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else and are so grateful to the Old Coon Creek Inn team for helping make our special day perfect. Photos are by Laura Hamp from our wedding day (:

The Wagner House

5.0

Freeport, IL
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor

The Wagner House, located in the historic Wagner Print Building, is a three-story industrial warehouse in downtown Freeport, Illinois. The building was built in 1903 and was one of the first buildings that had electricity in Freeport. Established in 1853 and incorporated on March 9, 1912, the Wagner Building was home to the German-born Wagner Family who, like Freeport, has a long and interesting history. The Wagner House also served as an industrial manufacturing spot for textiles and fashion. For four generations, the business did not change hands, and the present Wagner company pledged to continue their record of quality printing and letterpress and are still in business today. In 2013, The Wagner building was sold to Bill Green to redevelop and re-imagine it, creating a wine bar, business incubator, and beautiful event space.
