“We first met Steven touring a different venue than what we booked and quickly got to talking about what we envisioned for our big day. We chatted about his DJ services and he never once pressured us to book him, he was giving us ideas as a genuine human being. A few months passed and Steven reached out seeing if we were still in need of a DJ for our wedding. Once we got our venue booked, we couldn’t say no to Steven. He was awesome from the day we met. He sent us a detailed planner to fill out for song choices, must play list, do not play list, etc. The whole process working with Steven was a breeze. He was SO patient with us as we changed our minds on songs, even after the planner was due. He is very reasonably priced compared to other DJ companies in the Milwaukee area. We only booked him for ceremony and reception music, but he has a TON of different things you can add on which is awesome (photobooth, uplighting, and so much more). The day of our wedding he was on time and extremely professional. Our ceremony music was perfectly timed. He kept our guests on the dance floor and played music on our must play list. He had fun transitions from song to song. He was dancing behind the DJ booth which every single guest enjoyed. He even danced with me for a song which was so fun! My guests commented on him throughout the whole night how awesome and fun he was (two weeks later and they’re still talking about how amazing he was)! I didn’t hire a day of coordinator and he took on the responsibility of releasing tables and so much more. I wanted multiple group photos of us with all our guests by family and friend group and Steven was great at announcing each group to make that happen. 10/10 would recommend Carter Events and Entertainment with Steven for your wedding day! He has the best vibes and is so easy to work with. Steven we can’t thank you enough for helping to make our wedding day a success!!”

A true bilingual reception with music that weaved in and out our culture of Latin/Tejano music, to rock music like Bon Jovi, early 2000s hits, etc. Our guests had a blast! Nicky also went the extra mile when life made things a little overwhelming to plan our wedding on our own and we decided we needed a wedding planner. We felt comfortable enough to ask Nicky for help with our search and without hesitation Nicky helped us find a wedding planner within our budget. There is so much more we can say about Nicky and we cannot express enough how grateful we have been very his attention to detail that makes us feel assured that every moment of our special day will be nothing short of magical. Throughout our time together he always reminded us that our wedding was about us, and what we want, and was so thoughtful to make sure our wedding represented us as a Mexican American couple. He creates a lot of ease in wedding planning that provided so much comfort to us when wedding planning became inevitable stressful because we knew he was always a solid presence we could rely on. “Tyson and Sam at Skinny Boy Media were one of my favorite vendors at my wedding. It is so so hard to choose a DJ because you've been to other weddings and had trauma from terrible DJ's that play the same old songs that are awful. Or they don't announce things at the right time or just don't communicate. This was my fear. I was recommended Skinny Boy Media from my photographer in Cincy. Then I noticed he was in Cleveland and I am located in South Central Ohio (where there are no good DJ's). I was so nervous that I was going to have a massive upcharge due to travelling 4.5 hours. I reached out and got a quote from him and discussed the type of wedding I wanted with the music and flow of things. He communicated amazing right from the start and was transparent in pricing and had no problem whatsoever travelling to Southern Ohio/Northern KY. Whew! Then I dragged my feet because this is a large decision. The website of DJ's are hard to tell what they are like. It's not like you can go to a wedding they are at and see if you like it, haha! But then as I looked on a Facebook group of Ohio Bride's to Be I noticed his name kept getting referenced. Which was a good hint. Then I talked to him further about uplighting and Photobooth services for the night. I kept delaying again... Then he reached out to me again telling me someone else wanted my date (July 8) if I didn't want it. That sealed the deal and I paid the deposit online. My husband and I completed a detailed form he provided on Google Docs to say what songs we wanted during what time. And what songs we did not want! We had a video chat with him describing ourselves, the vibe we wanted for our wedding, etc. We are 28yrs and wanted a middle school dance party vibe. I also didn't want songs switched every other minute, but transitioned nicely with reading the crowd. I also asked for some Disney songs during dinner. Man did he deliver!!! It was a party!! And he politely communicated with me during the night, asking if I was ready to begin the dances, the speeches, let dinner tables go to the buffet, etc. We also added a game from 4H camp called Bring-Me and he had it organized on his iPad, let my sister run the game on the mic, etc. The photo booth also sent photos to each person and I got a google drive link to all of them. I chose the Ivy wall with props. I did not choose to have a glow light in the photo background, but that is an option. The 30 uplights literally pulled everything together in the long room! (70ft x 30ft). He was on time, stayed till the end as expected. He also helped create a super special memory for my husband and I that I didn't even plan for! At the end (11:30pm) he had everyone go outside or towards the end of the building and he played "At Last" with just my husband and I. It was so perfect to end the night. If you made it this far...I hope I've convinced you to HIRE SKINNY BOY MEDIA!!! He will communicate like you want, provide a clear contract, provide uplights & a photo booth, travel to your venue without complications, keep things running smooth and does a great job!!”

“Sean from North Georgia Weddings and Events was great to work with for our wedding! I had already booked a DJ, but was specifically looking for a company that would be able to provide cold spark machines for our first dance and our grand exit. I said I wanted as many as he could provide for both of those moments and he was able to use eight total machines (four on each side). The layout of them was perfect and made for some fantastic photos and videos. Sean also asked what the first dance song was ahead of time so he would know the piece of music and could then time the start of the cold spark machines with the first chorus of the song for a more dramatic effect. The crowd was shocked and amazed when they went off during our first dance and the timing was perfect! Sean was able to make the vision I dreamed about come to life and I could not be happier with how it was executed! He was easy to get in touch with and very communicative leading up to the event and the day of the event to make sure the timing for everything would work out.
