Heist opened its doors in 2012, as Charlotte's only Craft Brewpub. Originally brewing on a 10HL German brewhouse, we expanded in 2017, adding 30 barrel production facility. Our original focus was on small-batch beer in the traditional Belgian and German style brews. In 2016, we found our stride, creating the original hazy IPA in North Carolina, CitraQuench'l. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to expand our portfolio, now ranging from hazy IPAs and pilsners to fruited sours and adjuncted stouts. We still make the occasional small batches, which are typically kept in house for pours at both our locations.

The Cotton Press offers a variety of services from equipment rental, staffing services and event planning. We do not provide food or drink but allow you to select your choice of approved vendors. FlakeHaven is a modern, industrial, chic wedding and event venue sitting in the middle of 250 acres overlooking a beautiful pond, cattle filled pastures and open farm land surrounded by natural wooded areas. The venue features lofty ceilings with extravagant industrial chandeliers and rough cut pine boards that line the walls.

The event space includes a 6,000-square-foot Reception Hall, a 3,000-square-foot Ceremony Space with Grooms Quarters attached, and an 800-square-foot building dedicated as a Bridal Suite. It has two beautifully landscaped garden spaces that can be used for cocktail hour or ceremony spaces. The entire facility has a brick and rod iron privacy fence surrounding the property. The venue includes three historic buildings connected by beautiful cobblestone walkways, lush landscape, landscape lighting as well as cafe lights.
