Nestled in the quiet Deanwood neighborhood, The Strand is housed in an old theater that was built to service the fledgling, but growing motion picture industry. The structure and its unique intimacy were the trend in movie houses. Intentionally built in an African American neighborhood and focused on African American films, from the 1920’s into the 1960’s, The Strand was a vibrant part of the community. Unfortunately, as with many small businesses, it ran into trouble and has sat dormant since that time. Our packages range from $21.95 per person up to $139.95 per per, with the average coming in around $50.00 per person. Most all packages include: 4hr.
