Michele and her team were there to answer any questions and really helped to take care of all the details needed in order to make our day special for us and our guests. Bridgepoint

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Up to 60 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

The Bridgepoint event space is a 2,500 sq. ft. renovated roofdeck in DUMBO Brooklyn that has breathtaking views of the Manhattan Skyline and both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. This contemporary build is a stark contrast from some of our rustic offerings which features, white marble tile with grey, black and gold tones throughout.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Allows pets
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor

Venue considerations

  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
  • Does not provide event staff
  • No built-in audiovisual options
After our Upper East Side ceremony, our wedding guests took the ferry to Dumbo and enjoyed the cocktail hour at Bridgepoint Rooftop. And while they loved the Dumbo Loft for our reception, I think the rooftop view was the hit of the day. This space is all marble inside and truly beautiful. Between that and the city views, we did basically zero decor for this space. There are some nice bistro lights already set up on the rooftop patio. There was plenty of space for our caterers to set up several food tables and our bartenders to set up a bar table. We brought in some hightop tables for both the indoor and outdoor spaces. There was potential for rain so we did have to book a tent at the last minute (unexpected, awful expense), but we ended up not needing it! Just be aware there is no awning or anything in the event of rain and we knew we'd have too many people for just the indoor space. The BK Venues folks were absolutely fantastic and communicative. They gave us a deal for booking both the Rooftop and Dumbo Loft! Bridgepoint Rooftop was amazing, and really added such a fun and special variety to the events of the day. Thanks BK Venues!!!

Built in 1891, the renovated The Dumbo Loft is an adaptable space with high ceilings, beautiful wood columns, hardwood flooring, and exposed brick walls. Our wedding reception of 115 people was at The Dumbo Loft on October 21, 2023. First of all, it was the best decision ever to have our wedding events in Dumbo. Our out-of-town guests were enchanted by the neighborhood (despite LOTS of construction around), especially after we walked from the ferry at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Dumbo Loft is a vacant space, great for couples who are looking for a blank slate to dress up however they'd like. The wood beams and exposed brick were a great backdrop for our evening wedding. We worked with RFC Productions to set up some uplighting on the walls and beautiful icicle lights over the dance floor. Paired with tons of (fake) candles, it ended up being a very beautiful setting for our reception. The folks at BK Venues could not have been more accommodating. They allowed us access to the space anytime we requested it. There was a ton of construction happening in the area during our wedding month, and they made sure to keep us posted on everything that was going on. The BK Venue spaces are pretty no-frills, and when we sent a list of small tweaks we noticed (a broken doorknob here, a broken coat rack there), they were extremely responsive and did their best to address everything we listed. All in all, I'm so happy we went with The Dumbo Loft - the event went extremely well and we got lots of compliments on the space!

Housed in the ‘Boiler Building,’ we are just across the street from Brooklyn Bridge Park and the picturesque Manhattan Bridge. Highlights: • 6,000 square-foot gallery • 35 foot ceilings featuring an industrial ‘coal trough’ • 25 windows on two levels, flooding the gallery with natural light and spectacular views • Up to 200 guests for cocktail reception; up to 175 guests for a seated dinner • Room for dance floor, DJ, and bar • Separate prep area • Access to a full kitchen with a stove, sink, and refrigerator in lower level • Customizable and dimmable gallery lighting • ADA accessible

Awarded Best of Zola
Smack Mellon is, to put it mildly, a wonderful venue. The brick interior and high ceilings (I believe it was an old boiler room dating from DUMBO's bygone industrial days well before West Elm) provides ample room for whatever you desire. We worked closely with Jessica, who was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She remained quite receptive to each of our many suggestions. Everyone at Smack Mellon was very accommodating, too, letting us drop off some items the day prior (this was an invaluable service amid standard pre-wedding chaos). Since the space is relatively blank, you can add to it, creating a wholly personal experience that properly reflects you and your event. And of course, there's the view of the Manhattan Bridge. If you're visiting the space, take the ferry. Easier than finding parking and nicer than the subway.

We love the city, but really need more time in nature. We assume most New Yorkers would agree. We created this space to allow our community a quiet space among plants, birds, insects, and urban wildlife. Carroll Hall is a warehouse space, garden, lounge, a skylit indoor room, catering kitchen, and discreet wooden “treehouse.” Discovery, wonder, and the unexpected are big themes. Whether an eccentric insect or vignette through a wall opening, we revel in curiosity. Ultimately, the garden is the heart of Carroll Hall; the promise of a quiet moment outside is our grounding force. See the COVID precautions we are taking in the rooms section.
