Built in 1891, the renovated The Dumbo Loft is an adaptable space with high ceilings, beautiful wood columns, hardwood flooring, and exposed brick walls. The loft’s large windows overlook the interior of the magnificent district of DUMBO with original cobblestone streets and expansive Manhattan Bridge archways. Brooklyn Bridge Park, only a few steps away makes for tremendous photos and outdoor ceremonies.

The Dumbo Loft is a 3000 sq. ft. renovated 19th century tobacco warehouse located in the heart of the up and coming DUMBO district. This unique event space is steps away from the Manhattan Bridge overpass, lined with cobblestone streets and world renowned photo opportunities.

    We got to the venue at 9:20 the day of the event and no one was on the premises. We had asked for it to be open at 9:15 and they acted like we came hours late. Someone should have been able to wait 5 minutes…We had no idea where the bridal suite was, where the ladder was or how to use the lights in the venue. When someone did eventually come to meet us around 10:45am, it seemed like they were someone who strolled in from the farmers market outside (which happened the entire time during our setup in the morning). The venue was not clear as to the entrance and some of our guests for our wedding missed the venue entirely. They did not make it easy to find. Make sure if you have a weekend wedding to tell your guests the farmers market actually will be there until 6 or 7pm. They do not pack up by 4 as we were told by the venue.

    Our wedding reception of 115 people was at The Dumbo Loft on October 21, 2023. First of all, it was the best decision ever to have our wedding events in Dumbo. Our out-of-town guests were enchanted by the neighborhood (despite LOTS of construction around), especially after we walked from the ferry at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Dumbo Loft is a vacant space, great for couples who are looking for a blank slate to dress up however they'd like. The wood beams and exposed brick were a great backdrop for our evening wedding. We worked with RFC Productions to set up some uplighting on the walls and beautiful icicle lights over the dance floor. Paired with tons of (fake) candles, it ended up being a very beautiful setting for our reception. The folks at BK Venues could not have been more accommodating. They allowed us access to the space anytime we requested it. There was a ton of construction happening in the area during our wedding month, and they made sure to keep us posted on everything that was going on. The BK Venue spaces are pretty no-frills, and when we sent a list of small tweaks we noticed (a broken doorknob here, a broken coat rack there), they were extremely responsive and did their best to address everything we listed. All in all, I'm so happy we went with The Dumbo Loft - the event went extremely well and we got lots of compliments on the space!

    I’ve been executing events out of Dumbo Loft for several years now and it is one of my favorite spaces out of the BK Venues offerings. The kitchen area has many outlets and I have never once had an issue. I usually bring in several high voltage kitchen equipment for service too. Dumbo Loft on site sales crew are helpful and accommodating as well as the security team. Loading in, setting up rentals and breakdown is always seamless with the loading ramp at the side entrance. Would recommend using Dumbo Loft if you’re looking for an intimate event space in the 100-125person range.

    Working with Adam and The Dumbo Loft team was super easy! They always returned emails promptly, answered my 2948204 questions, and of course the space is perfect. Its lovely to be able to make a space what you want. The location couldn't be more perfect. Seriously. Book them!
