“We had a memorable and positive experience with Rian as our wedding DJ. He stands out from the rest of the crowd with his unique style and personality (the 70s tuxedo helps!). Oddly enough his website, which is refreshingly quirky and interesting, made him a top option when we were DJ searching. From our initial call, he was very fun to get to know, and while satisfyingly honest about personal tastes, is still more than happy to fulfill your vision and preferences. He also offers uplighting as an add-on, which was an absolute steal compared to what our venue was offering. We worked with him a few weeks prior to the wedding to get an abridged cut of our first dance song, and Rian thoughtfully provided us several edits to choose from. For the reception, we created a playlist of starting suggestions, and he did a great job playing a mix of our recommended tracks with a blend of his own selections across a wide range of genres. At one point a cousin shouted from the dance floor, "How is this all music I grew up with!?!?!" amid the opening beats of Be My Lover (what a great pick, we didn't suggest it but wow, did it fit perfectly). We also come from immigrant families, and so we wanted to include some non-Western music in the mix. Rian had taken the time to dig up some classic nostalgic standards from our families' cultures and play them during cocktail hour. Every single "must play" was played, every "do not play" was respected to a T. We danced so much, we even forgot to get dessert. “Having AMP Band for our wedding was an A Experience. For our wedding, we used the DJ/Band Entertainment for reception, along with the String Duo Violins for the ceremony. During the pre-wedding planning stage, Ana & Jimmy took the time to get to know us on a personal level and answered all of our questions quickly through emails and zooms. What I loved about the planning stage with them was their ability to incorporate our music suggestions, while also providing feedback on music through their expertise. On the wedding day, they absolutely crushed it!! During our wedding, it was a perfect mix of live and dj entertainment during our reception. They met all of our expectations music-wise and did a phenomenal job of playing music to all generations during the night. “We loved working with Bo and John Ross Music for our wedding! They are very organized and it was easy to fill out the form they provided for must have music vs. do not play songs. We were able to keep updating it as we thought of new songs we loved. Everyone was so impressed with our music throughout the whole day. Bo played live for our ceremony and even learned some specific songs we requested. It was unforgettable! When it came to the reception, Bo was just as impressive, if not more!
