Our wedding planning began with a visit to the Barn on the Pemi, and we were instantly captivated. Its picturesque setting, complete with a charming greenhouse for the ceremony and breathtaking mountain views, left a big impression. What's more, the Barn provided everything we needed, sparing us the hassle of sourcing rentals. With tables, chairs, utensils, linens, and more included, it was just perfect, especially since we had decided on a short engagement. After our initial visit, I turned to my now-husband and said, "I loved it. Please tell me we don't have to go look anywhere else," and he just smiled. My dad couldn't stop raving about the expansive menu either; being a Common Man property, the food was amazing. Our guests agreed, saying it the best wedding meal they'd ever had. The Barn's staff were incredibly responsive throughout the planning process, even accommodating a second visit so our day-of coordinator could familiarize herself with the venue. With most of our vendors experienced at the Barn, coordination was seamless, ensuring a smooth and stress-free day. The Barn is a dog-friendly venue, which was perfect because we wanted dour dog to be part of our wedding. They require someone to be designated or hired as the dog's chaperone of course, but it was wonderful to have her there with us. Our venue coordinator, Carole, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran like clockwork. From working with our day-of coordinator to keep us on schedule to ensuring we were fed and hydrated, she was a godsend. Even when my dress needed bustling or my veil went astray, she was there to save the day. Transportation was also a breeze thanks to the Barn's trolleys, shuttling guests to and from nearby hotels effortlessly. In every way, our wedding day was incredible, and the Barn on the Pemi proved to be the perfect place to celebrate our special day.

The event manager was incredibly responsive and flexible, catering to any last minute changes with ease to ensure our day went off without a hitch. The venue itself provided an intimate, inclusive atmosphere that felt perfectly accommodating for our wedding. The gazebo was a lovely setting for our ceremony, and we enjoyed a large reception in their pavilion which creates such an amazing ambiance from the wood beams, view of the pond and warm lighting. The owners love to help people create their special day. With an on-site bar, tables, chairs, on-site parking and a naturally beautiful landscape for photos, this place has it all!

I’m so happy we chose the Loon Lodge Inn to host our wedding. The food was spectacular, the tent was beautiful, and the lake views were amazing. But the real stars of the show were the hospitality and service from Kim and other staff members at the Loon Lodge. They went above and beyond the entire weekend. Everyone at our wedding sung the praises of the staff including their hard work, friendly demeanors, and their creativity to fix things when unexpected things happened. For example, when the florist’s arbor fell over and broke, the florist attempted to hold it together using ribbons and flowers that looked awful. Kim immediately fixed it using fishing line and it ended up looking beautiful as the fishing line wasn’t even noticeable and especially won’t be seen in pictures. Kim also tried extremely hard to have the ceremony outside despite forecasts of rain. Having the ceremony outside was the one thing I really wanted to happen that weekend. Kim was constantly checking the forecast that day and saw that there would be a window of opportunity without rain and at the last minute made an outside ceremony happen. Additionally, I didn’t realize that we never assigned someone to be in charge of the cake-cutting. Kim saw it was not being cut and went out of her way to cut everyone a slice of cake. There were many moments like this and I’m sure way more that happened behind the scenes that we weren’t privy to. The bartenders and other staff members, especially the chef, also did a fantastic job. Choosing the Loon Lodge Inn for our venue was the best decision I made regarding wedding planning. My now husband and I plan to return here for an anniversary trip one day. Thanks to the Loon Lodge Inn and Kim for a weekend that we will always remember and think fondly of!

The whole team was extremely supportive and so excited to make our day perfect. We held our reception at the Tavern and the team worked with us to create the perfect winter wedding theme. The guests had a great time and really enjoyed the venue. One of my favorite things the team worked with me on was to create a late night s’mores bar out by the fire pits. Besides just holding the reception we also had our rehearsal dinner with them where they were able to work easily with all of our dietary restrictions. The majority of the wedding guests stayed at the inn and the team was super supportive of making sure the guests were able to make the most of their time area. It was truly a dream to work with them and I’d do it all over again.

July-2024 we hosted our daughter’s wedding at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in the White Mountains of NH. We were fortunate to have perfect weather the entire weekend. But the hospitality, service, food, location & splendor of a well kept historic grand dame hotel made our entire experience a spectacular, elegant and enjoyable weekend for everyone! Guests enjoyed golfing, hiking, relaxing by the pool or the veranda surrounded by gorgeous views all weekend. Friday evening we entertained our guest with a private welcome party on the South Veranda. We were able to customize a menu with the chef- treating everyone with a taste of South Indian dishes honoring the region of India our son-in-law & family are from. The ceremony & reception were held at the Rosewood Lodge at the top of Brettonwoods Ski Area. A gondola ride to the top provided a fun experience, helping to build the excitement for the main event. Having the entire lodge, patio top of mountain to ourselves made it feel exclusive and very special. Accommodations- the MW is a magnificent grand historic hotel beautifully decorated with beautiful grounds. It is clean & well maintained for being 125 year old large busy hotel. The bride & groom had their 1st look at the main hotel- providing a beautiful setting & capturing the grandeur of the hotel. Service & Hospitality- in a word it was-Outstanding! The wedding consultant(Katarina Doucette- Senior Catering Sales Manager) was so helpful, accommodating & responsive throughout the entire process. Every staff member from the banquet coordinators, chef, servers, hotel cleaning staff & front desk took such special care of us - despite being a busy summer weekend we felt we were exclusive guests of the hotel. A special shout out to the gondola operators- they were so helpful getting our wedding decorations loaded & up/down the mountain. They even enthusiastically decorated the bride & grooms gondola with lighting for a crazy/fun send off at the end of the night! To end the weekend - we had a delicious Sunday brunch buffet for our guests in the beautiful main dining room. We utilized nearly every area & aspect of the Mount Washington Resort and had great experiences the entire weekend! Weddings are expensive but we felt every penny we spent was well worth it and appreciated at The Omni Mount Washington Resort. The pictures from the photographer - Lena Marisola - really say it all!

Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center was the best wedding venue we could’ve asked for. My husband and I visited so many wedding venue spots, but none of them compared to Burke. We wanted a venue that our guests could arrive at, park their car, and never have to get in it again until they left if they wanted, and Burke provided that. They also offer a wedding coordinator and Alicia, our coordinator was the absolute best! She was on top of everything from the full wedding weekend itinerary, providing suggestions, keeping track of deadlines, meeting with and coordinating our vendors the morning of our wedding, and ultimately making sure our entire wedding planning process and wedding weekend went perfectly. The night before our wedding, not only did she hang all the disco balls we brought for the reception herself, she also had another decor suggestion for our reception and this suggestion came with her having to paint something rather large. We loved the idea and she insisted on doing it, in the little (if any) spare time she had. She was so kind and professional and truly made our entire wedding planning experience enjoyable. We had a welcome event the night before our wedding which really helped everyone get to know each other and unwind from their travels. Our welcome event was in the Willoughby room and we utilized the patio, just off the room. We provided food, had a bar, the patio offered a fire pit, and we brought lawn games. It was a blast. The morning of our wedding, breakfast was delivered to our room which was great! When we went to decorate the ballroom, everything was setup for us so we could get right to work. Lou, the gentleman helping us move tables around, hang things, get our ceremony spot setup (chairs and arbor) was also such a pleasure to work with. He was very professional and very nice. The ceremony, reception, and after party all happened perfectly and seamlessly. If there were any hiccups behind the scenes, we never knew about them. All the staff at Burke were absolutely incredible to work with. They were professional yet personal, on top of everything, and so, so nice. Even our guests commented how nice everyone was. The food was absolutely delicious and another thing commented heavily by our guests (even still, 4 months later). Above and beyond: when my husband and I returned back to our room the night of our wedding, Burke staff had packed two to-go boxes with food from our wedding and put it in our refrigerator, they gave us two beautiful Burke glasses, had snapped a photo of us during the reception, had it printed, and framed in a beautiful Burke frame with a card, and brought our wedding cake & card box to the room. We were blown away. Plus, the venue is just gorgeous! If Burke is on your list, definitely highly consider them! If we had to do it all over again, we would go back there 100%

We live out of state and booked Bear Mountain site unseen (we did a FaceTime tour). It was the best decision. When we showed up we were star struck by its beauty of the inn and staff. The wedding was better than anything I could imagine. The staff thought of everything from flowers for the rehearsal to laminating our table numbers. Also the food was 12/10 amazing!!!!!! The staff even went out of their way to make sure we had one of dessert in our room waiting for us after the wedding. I loved how our wedding party and family were all able to stay at the inn and spend the weekend together not just the day. Not to mention the indoor and outdoor spaces for the wedding. The owner was so laid back and involved every step of the way in the planning process. They made great suggestions for other needs like make up and flowered and dj and photos. They even suggested local activities like hikes and breweries.

We loved having our wedding at Barton Family Farm! Their beautiful gardens and grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our big day. The staff was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process, quickly answering any questions we had. They were also so helpful in the days leading up to the wedding, making sure all the tables were properly set up. They were so attentive and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. The value provided by this venue was fantastic - the gardens alone made for gorgeous photos. We recently held my sister's bridal shower at the Greenwood Manor Inn- and I cannot even begin to explain how incredible our experience was. Jill and her family are a magical bunch. They were some of the most genuine and kind souls that bring extra charm to the beautiful landscape of the inn. I began discussing the event with Jill a few months ago. From our first conversation, she won me over as the winner of our event space. The menu, space, and overall price were exactly what we were envisioning for the bridal shower. She was beyond excited and accommodating in planning the event alongside us. The day before the shower, we were able to drop off all of the supplies and explore the inn. The morning of the shower, the tables were all set up, and Jill took the time to making our simple plates into gorgeous place settings. For the shower, we enjoyed a brunch with a mimosa bar. Every single menu item was beyond delicious from the cowboy quiche (insanely delicious) to the apple pie french toast (to die for) to the fresh salad (refreshing and sweet). All 30 of our guests raved about the dishes and treats provided by Jill. My personal favorites were these tiny apple crumble bars and the freshest blueberry scones I've ever had. We were also able to bring in our own ice cream bar as our shower theme was "She's Been Scooped Up". Beyond the scrumptious pastries and spread, we had a picture perfect April day with clear skies, lots of sunshine, and warmth. The garden view from the patio was the perfect backdrop for the festivities. As each guest said their goodbyes, they complimented the enchanting atmosphere of every aspect of the inn. I would give a 10 star review if possible! I could not recommend this location more if I tried. Be sure to check out this charming getaway spot or event space. You will NOT regret it!!!
