Auntie Viv's is an AAPI woman-owned & family operated small business adventure. When we visited Maui for the first time, and I fell in love at “first taste” with my very first Hawaiian shave ice. How I describe this phenomenon: “It literally was like a deliciously flavored, puffy cloud that instantly melted in my mouth & tasted like liquid gold. It was the best epicurean experience ever." I had my sights set on opening my own shave ice business & spending more time with my husband & two young daughters. I found myself being unhappy, working really long hours & it took a toll on my physical & mental health. Auntie Viv's opened Sept. 2017.

Both women have graduated from college and work in communications and marketing. Always remembering the limited opportunity they encountered, but overpowering those limitations with joyful childhood memories especially those accompanied by a Conchita.
