For over 90 years, The Warehouse has been at the center of Eclectic life. Built in 1928 for Lee Hornsby, the property has been in the family since the 1880s. It held commercial activity for cotton merchandising, lumber and hardware for 3 generations. In 1996, Aubrey Hornsby repurposed it as a social/cultural center. Its massive timbers, red brick walls, old-south charm, natural architectural comfort and grassy lawns inspire down-home livability. It has hosted The Alabama Cotton Festival, church/school events, concerts, theater, receptions and parties. Corporations have used it for photo shoots and as a sound stage. We have held over 600 events including 350 weddings. Upholding the historical structure, improvements have been made to ensure comfort and ease.

Near Montgomery, Auburn, and Birmingham, it is run by the Marr family, who is dedicated to making a couple’s wedding vision a memorable reality. Their goal is to ensure a seamless experience throughout the planning process and the event itself. The Marr family bought Marsgate in 2010 and since then it has been the site of many unforgettable get-togethers with loved ones. The Marrs' dream was to create an event venue that offered a luxurious and convenient venue complemented by amiable hospitality. Inside the mansion, couples and their guests will encounter classic architectural details accented by numerous amenities and stylish furniture. The Lodge at Lake Martin is a luxury lakeview resort nestled in 16 acres of woods. The outdoor space includes marked and lit trails, grill areas, picnic tables and benches, fire pits and even a hot tub! There are multiple places to hold your ceremony.
