There is nothing quite like the elegance of strings. We recommend string groups for Wedding Ceremonies, Elegant Dinners, and Cocktail Hours. Whether it is the standard grouping of Violin, Violin, Viola and Cello or a hybrid ensemble with harp or guitar, our players are well versed in both classical and contemporary repertoire. We also have Electric String Quartets. Some clients opt to have the group play acoustic for the ceremony and switch to electric instruments for cocktail hour.

The Gilded Age - the era of Gatsby, flappers, speakeasies, and fun - inspires "Love, Charley," New York City's romantic jazz and swing band. We will transport you back in time to the era when dance music crackled on gramophone players and the radio, and the New York was a hotbed of jazz. Centered around the lush vocals and ukulele of Martina, "Love, Charley" sparkles with champagne melodies and dance rhythms. Named after a 1932 jazz standard, Street of Dreams Jazz Band from New York City is a vintage jazz and swing group with a lush, romantic sound. Easily portable and available as a trio or quartet, the ensemble features gorgeous arrangements of timeless jazz standards from The Great American Songbook. Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, and Hoagy Carmichael are a few of their favorite composers. Listeners will be transported back to the era when swing was king in NYC.

Inspired by neo-soul greats like D’Angelo and Erykah Badu, Fake Tapes is all about the pleasure principle. Lead singer Kyla’s voice zig-zags assuredly above mischievous harmonic twists and sharp, understated grooves as she spins oblique stories of heartbreak and hope in New York City. Their debut, self-titled EP was released in December 2018 and is available on all major listening platforms. The members of the band met in the Brooklyn jazz jam scene and have been playing with each other ever since. Our performers are selected from the top surrounding universities and conservatories who play with multiple professional orchestras, ensembles, and organizations, have more than 50 years of combined experience. Hot Jazz of the 20’s consists of two guitars, string bass and jazz violin. It is reminiscent of the hot jazz sound popular in 1902’s Paris. The two most famous artists of this period are violinist Stefan Grapelli and the gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt.

AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI’S FROST SCHOOL OF MUSIC ALEJANDRO STUDIED MUSIC EDUCATION AND MUSIC BUSINESS AS A CLASSICAL PIANO PRINCIPLE AND VOICE SECONDARY. ALEJANDRO GRADUATED FROM FROST WITH EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN K-12 MUSIC EDUCATION IN BAND, CHOIR, AND ORCHESTRA, AS WELL AS IMMENSE KNOWLEDGE OF MUSICAL THEATRE REPERTOIRE ACCOMPANYING AND PERFORMING.
