Turning Stone Farm is a small-scale, family owned and operated integrated agricultural farm, event venue and creative studio located in Greensboro, Vermont. At the heart of our property is a historic 1880s post and beam barn that we have been restoring for over 30 years. This agricultural cathedral is perfect for intimate gatherings and a variety of activities, a ceremony, music, dancing, cocktails and reception. Our spacious grounds surrounding the barn feature a hay field, a variety of trees, orchard, berry bushes, grape arbor, yards and vegetable and perennial gardens. Our property is just a half-mile from Caspian Lake and the village and a few miles to Hill Farmstead Brewery. Located in the heart of Vermont’s finest food, beverage, and craft producers, we work closely with a variety of great local vendors who can provide you with anything you might want and an experience you won't forget.

“My husband and I got married at the Exit 33 courtyard and had our reception at the Tourqouse Tiger at Turning Stone. We live and Denver but wanted to have our wedding in New York since that is our home state. We were super nervous about planning a wedding from across the country but Turning Stone blew us away! There were so many package options and we found one that was perfect for us for a pretty affordable wedding price. Additionally, it came with a wedding planner and we hit the jackpot with Quiana Morgan. She was incredible and my husband and I refer to her as THE GOAT! She was detailed, attentive, and made everything about us and what we wanted, she never made us feel pressured and did anything she could to make sure we had everything we wanted. We had a very non traditional wedding, so we asked for some out of the box accommodations and we never heard the work no from her. On top of that, she’s just a great person with a great personality and made the whole experience so fun for us. Come day of the wedding, she had everything planned out, did all the decorating and made me vision come to life, it was absolutely gorgeous. She kept the show running and everything on time and was there to support us through the whole day. She holds a special place in our hearts and I would do any event with her 1000 times over. The venue was beautiful, the food and drinks were amazing, and all of the staff working our wedding was so sweet and just showered us in compliments and amazing vibes. The casino itself was also amazing and there was so much to do. We partied all night and made the best memories. I also got my makeup done at the spa and I looked flawless, it was amazing. Would recommend turning stone weddings for anyone looking for an amazing venue!”

“The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch was truly a DREAM wedding venue! From the moment we first saw it, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. We celebrated our marriage (actually on our first anniversary) on 9/28/2024, and over the span of almost 2 years of planning, Jenn, Jamie and Steve were wonderful to work with. They accommodated us visiting several times after booking to see more details and ask questions. As we got closer to our wedding date, Jamie worked with us to develop our timeline full of so many details. They were so welcoming of us and our family, allowing my brother, a pastry chef & restaurant owner, to build the wedding cake on site the day of the wedding. Jenn was there with a smiling face and coffee ready for our early morning start. And Jamie set up everything so beautifully, including all of our decor that was very intricate (my favorite being the most amazing bookshelf escort wall I made, using The Barn’s shelf out on the patio!) Jamie did a wonderful job keeping everyone on time and in the right place. When the shuttle went to the wrong pickup location, Jamie got it all figured out and even though we started the ceremony late because of it, we were able to make up some time and stay on schedule for the rest of the evening. Overall, we are beyond happy with our day! The weather and the foliage were perfect, and every single detail came together so beautifully. We can’t say thank you enough to the amazing team at The Barn, and would highly recommend having your dream Vermont wedding here!”
