About this venue

The Common Man Inn & Restaurant is a wedding venue located in Claremont, NH. Previously home to two textile mills, the restored venue offers a rustically elegant setting for any occasion and a cozy Inn next door! To-be-weds can host their special day in a number of event sites. The Sugar River Ballroom seats up to 150 people and boasts stunning views of the Sugar River through tall windows set into thick brick walls and exposed beams that are original to the historic mill building. The Woven Label Boardroom seats up to 45 people and features original brick walls, welcoming fireplace, and elegant floor to ceiling bookcases. The Sullivan Green offers a riverside overlook that can accommodate 30-60 guests for an outdoor dinner or up to 100 for a wedding ceremony. For your convenience we supply china, flatware, glassware, tables, chairs, and linens. Whether you’ve been envisioning a lobster bake, a barbecue, a buffet, or plated meal, The Common Man Inn & Restaurant has you covered.

Sugar River Ballroom

Boasts stunning views of the Sugar River through tall windows set into thick brick walls and exposed beams original to the historic mill building.

The Sugar River Ballroom is our largest event room, accommodating 60-180 guests and comfortably seats 150 for a seated meal. This 2,600+ square foot event space is perfect for larger weddings. For weddings, we offer the room for a 6-hour period of time, and the rental fee is $1,800. This room has a 100-person minimum on Fridays and Saturdays from Memorial Day through the end of October.

The Woven Label Boardroom, our more intimate event room, holds 15-60 guests and comfortably seats 45 for a seated meal. Original brick walls, welcoming fireplace and elegant floor to ceiling bookcases all help create an inviting, unique, 900 square foot event room that is ideally suited for a smaller wedding. There is a room rental fee of $1000 to reserve the space.

The Sullivan Green with its attractive riverside overlook can accommodate 30-60 guests for an outdoor dinner or up to 100 for a wedding ceremony. There is a rental fee of $350 to reserve the space. This area is available seasonally.
