  • Documentary style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Cutchogue, NY

Hi! I'm Alëna! I’ve been making videos for over 10 years now. I believe in sucking the joy out of life and documenting it. It’s by immersing myself in travel that my eyes were first opened to videography. Being an adoptee from another country I fell in love with the process of collecting memories. I feel that my exposure to changing environments has allowed me to appreciate things from various perspectives and remain calm and assertive in fast pace situations. Such as weddings! I love capturing different traditions & religions AND of course documenting people in love or breaking the dance floor are my literal favs! Let's freakin' go yeah!?

Awarded Best of Zola
WOW, i booked Alena and as soon as we spoke i KNEW she was going to do my wedding! everything about her videos were truly breathtaking! she got every little detail in and it was just my teaser video!! she is such a great person, and she makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I don't know what i would have done without her. she Captured everything in such a different way. Alena truly out did herself and i am SO grateful that i have this beautiful wedding video to look back on my day and relive every moment!!!

Imagine your wedding day, immortalized in a cinematic narrative that unfolds like a professional movie. Our skilled storytellers capture everything - the laughter-filled aerial shots, the intimate whispered promises, even the subtle, blink-and-you-miss-it moments that truly define your day. We're there when you're getting ready, capturing the anticipation in the air. We're there as you exchange your vows, documenting every tear and every smile. And we blend in during your reception, discreetly capturing the pure, unscripted joy of your guests.

Awarded Best of Zola
Wow, just got our wedding film back from InstillWonder and I'm honestly speechless. They didn't just film our day, they told our story. The way they captured the soft glow of the sunset during our vows, the laughter during the best man's speech, and even the tearful hug from my grandma – it was all there, woven together so beautifully. The drone shots of our venue by the lake were breathtaking, and the slow-motion capture of our first dance under the string lights made it feel like a fairy tale. Can't recommend them enough for capturing the essence and emotion of our wedding day!

Hello! My name is Fen, nice to meet you online! I’m a freelance cinematographer and editor. I split my time between shooting weddings and indie films. In my spare time I love swimming, hiking, skiing, traveling with my family, writing and learning all kinds of stuff. I’m very curious about the world!

Hi, I'm Chad. My goal is to create something captivating that you can cherish for a lifetime, while at the same time giving you and your guests an amazing experience. My films are tailored to you, authentic to your story and your wedding.

Awarded Best of Zola
The experience we had with Chad was 10/10. I'm a bit late reviewing but Chad did our wedding in May & I can't even put into words how great he was. We knew immediately Mist & Moss was perfect for us after meeting Chad on zoom when we were first searching for vendors. We knew nothing at all about wedding planning and he made us feel totally at ease, talked us through the whole process of how the video process worked and right off the bat made us feel like friends. The day of they were the PERFECT chill (but organized) presence we needed, they were there for every second and caught every moment perfectly. The final product WAY exceeded our expectations and we cannot thank you guys enough for our memories!!

Margo Sees Stars

5.0

  • Documentary style
  • Starts at $4,900
  • Serves Cutchogue, NY

Hi! I’m Julia, middle name Margo, a film school dropout and music buff who wants to make your wedding look like art. I'm here to represent diversity in the couples I work with and weddings I shoot (love is love), to give you something hyper-shareable that will instantly transport you in space and time for the rest of your lives, and to make you cry upon watching. The crying is very important. Bear with me on this analogy, but basically I like my wedding films like I like my salads: raw, organic, a little bit of quirk and flare, and consumed alongside great music. If this sound pretty good to you, have a look at my work and get in touch!

Awarded Best of Zola
If you want your wedding day to be captured like an art piece, like an actual movie or magical music video, hire Julia. I cannot recommend Margo Sees Stars enough! I knew I wanted a video of our big day because A) my memory (for the little details) sucks and B) I knew seeing the movement and all the sweet in-between moments in live footage would be so much more meaningful to me than just still photography. But I also am not drawn to super traditional sappy wedding video treatments. Julia took it to another level. I don't remember how I found her but she was the first vendor I booked and it was an A move and worth absolutely every penny. I fell in love with her Wes Anderson style, her eye for minimalism and fun candid moments, her editing and music choices. I felt such joy watching her videos of other peoples weddings, I couldn't imagine how good I would feel watching my own in her beautifully unique film style. Cut to my wedding day, not that this is totally mandatory but she was a complete fly on the wall. Obviously I was a bit preoccupied but I barely remember seeing her there, to the point that later on I was worried she may not have captured enough of the day because WHERE WAS SHE?! But she caught EVERY moment. Moments I was too anxious to pay attention to, or wasn't present for, or was having too much fun to remember. But I'm SO happy to be able to see them in the final video. It was 100x more than I dreamed of. Myself, my husband, our families, we all wept watching it. The music was so perfectly edited to the shots. Honestly I was anxious to pick a song without seeing the footage so I just gave her a few songs and bands I liked and the general vibe I wanted, and she completely NAILED it. She was also hugely accommodating to my editing process (I'm also a creative so I was a bit nit picky), and super communicative along the way when needed. But there was barely any need for it. You just let her do her thing and she makes absolute artistic magic. Not to mention she sends you the raw footage in an adorable package filled with Hershey's kisses and a camera-shaped USB key. I loved my wedding day but the moments are so fleeting, it goes by so quickly and then its gone forever, and it's lovely to have photographs of the day, but I'm telling you, having such a uniquely beautiful video art piece to watch when you want to smile really hits different. GO HIRE MARGO SEES STARS!

Working with Mike was an absolute pleasure! My husband and I had very few ideas for our vision at the start of the planning process. Mike was so helpful in guiding us and giving great ideas that added to our special day which we never would have thought of otherwise. I would highly recommend Perfect Cadence Events for your DJ needs for any event! Working with Logan when booking them for our wedding was super easy. He was flexible and made time for phone calls that worked with my crazy nightshift schedule. Logan was knowledgeable about the wedding business and offered great information to questions I didn’t even know I should ask. DJ Mike worked with us for our wedding and was amazing. He was available to discuss specifics the week of our wedding and catered to all of our specific requests. He also gave great input from working many weddings before (even some at our own wedding venue!). On the day of the wedding Mike was upbeat and friendly and made sure to keep the night on track with our timeline. Mike played the best music and the dance floor was packed the entire night. Overall Perfect Cadence Events was super great to work with making the wedding planning process slightly less stressful and putting my mind at ease for our big day!

Motel Cinema

5.0

  • Documentary style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Cutchogue, NY for additional fees

Fueled by nostalgic recalling we aim to create a film that is timeless and authentic. Motel Cinema is based out of San Diego, Ca and our approach to weddings is inspired by the untraditional travelers before us, who hit the road in search of adventure into the unknown. We don't like boxes and we don't want wedding films that fit into one. If that tickles your fancy let's get weird.

Awarded Best of Zola
One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was to hire Motel Cinema! As an entertainment marketer, specifically for documentaries, how our wedding would be documented was top of mind for me and I met with quite a few videographers. Brandon completely exceeded my expectations with the moments he caught on film, the editing, the music, the vibe. I really felt like he saw us and reflected it all back to us in the most special way which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. He was an absolute joy to work with through the entire process- easy to communicate with and quick, but also a relaxed energy that fit seamlessly into our wedding weekend. I cannot recommend Motel Cinema enough and I’m so so grateful that we were connected.

When you trust us to capture those real and honest moments, you end up with photos & video about your love that transcend time.

When my fiancé and I were searching for wedding vendors, Hereafter Films stuck out to us. I immediately looked at their Instagram feed and their website and I was in awe of the quality of their work. You can clearly see how much love they pour into their brand and every video I watched made me feel all sorts of emotions. We met up with Sharayah and Ryan (pre-pandemic) to get to know them and we were so impressed with how in sync they are. They genuinely want to know your vibe, your relationship, and what you want captured on your wedding day. We wanted our video to feel genuine and intentional, not posed and stiff. It wasn't until I saw our wedding video that I extremely appreciated the time they took listening to our needs because they checked every. single. box. They captured every raw emotion we felt and so many small details we didn't see day of because everything moved so fast. Sharayah and Ryan were so easy to work with day of, they made sure we felt relaxed and unposed! They were everywhere but simultaneously they weren't in the way. We were so impressed with how well they worked with our photographers as well, they made an amazing team! We'll cherish our highlight and heirloom videos for years to come. We'll be watching them over and over again reliving the best day of our lives.

I cannot thank Saja and Mawaddah Productions enough for producing the wedding film of my dreams! Saja was a joy to work with. She is exactly the type of person you want around you on your wedding day: calm, kind, and professional. Saja was proactive about communicating with my husband and I during the planning process and made an effort to get to know us and understand our hopes for our wedding day. The final film reflected that intentionality by showcasing the feelings and details of our day beautifully and authentically. Saja made us feel valued throughout the process of working with her, and went above and beyond by including some surprises with the delivery of our film. She was very patient as we talked through everything we wanted in our video. On the day of our wedding, she was very thorough and captured some shots that we didn't even know happened! We were worried that our photographer and videographer would get in the way of guests' views but Dianna was very respectful and was able to capture beautiful footage without disrupting our guests.
