The Barrow House features two separate outdoor tents and seven unique rooms capable of playing host to a variety of private events. We welcome you to Cowan's Public: dateline 1938. Here guests can enjoy a rotating selection of 16 craft beers on draught, cocktails featuring artisanal spirits and seasonal ingredients, and a modern twist on the traditional pub menu, all in a space that transports you back to a time gone by. We can accommodate a variety of party sizes in our unique space.

Inspired by their grandparent’s 1950’s cellar bar, the Maroulakos brothers tip their hat to that great era of home entertaining. The bar & dining room capture the essence of the era with a fun, modern twist along with a seasonal Backyard Garden. The food menu features classic American bar fare, comforting entrees & (thin) crust pies - with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. The beverage program features plays on classic Cocktails, including Gus’ favorite, Last Word - complete with his unique twist, 16 draft beers & wine focused on a mix of domestic and international offerings.

For over a century patrons have found comfort in this historic building nestled in the heights of the Meadowlands, presently home to Ivy Inn. Opened in the 1870’s as a stagecoach inn, travelers in horse and carriage along Polifly Road (later named Terrace Avenue) stopped here to eat and drink in the tavern below and sleep in one of six guest quarters above. After the turn of the 20th century, the inn evolved into a fine dining restaurant (a popular speakeasy during Prohibition), but eventually fell into disrepair. On Valentine’s Day of 1997, after extensive restoration, the inn once again opened its doors for fine dining, renamed Ivy Inn. Ivy, the symbol of love and marriage, has proven to be a fitting name. Since reopening, the restaurant has witnessed countless marriage proposals, weddings and anniversary celebrations. Continuing its long legacy of hospitality, the inn is once again a Bergen County favorite and continues to inspire cherished memories for many years to come.
