“Josh had our whole wedding dancing all night. With really creative mixing, he was able to blend in so many different genres seamlessly. Most importantly, he was really attuned to the crowd's energy and was great about knowing when to play a song in full and when to just tease us with quick samples. If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want, instead of playing just the same 30 songs you hear at every wedding, Josh is your DJ. The music selection process is easy - in addition to check-in calls and zooms, he uses an app, so you can build you can craft the perfect playlist ahead of time. We both really enjoyed adding songs to our app throughout the planning process. But the best was actually hearing the way he was able to combine so many of our favorite songs for our reception party. He had all our of guests (ages ranging from 10 to over 80 years old) dancing all night long. Our first comment from friends the day after our wedding was about how fun they had on the dance floor and how great the music was! I also think its important to add that Josh handled our wedding ceremony music, cocktail music, dinner music and sparkler exits as well- he provided mics, sounds systems, everything we needed, and all of those were executed perfectly. He was on time for set-up, very respectful of the rules/guidelines in places at our historic venue, and he collaborated really well with our other vendors to make sure everything looked and sounded perfect. “DJ Casanova was recommended to us by our venue and we could not have been happier with our decision to have him DJ our wedding reception. He is extremely organized and responsive. He shared a wedding planning sheet with us that allowed us to build our timeline and reception playlist. He also allowed us to create our own playlists for cocktail hour and dinner music (though he has some of his own playlists that we 'stole' some songs from too). What really made DJ Casanova stand out was that he met with us virtually (we don't live in the DMV area) multiple times before our wedding. His main focus during the first session was to learn about us as individuals and a couple, as well as our families. The second session was focused on logistics, name pronunciations, etc. He was extremely receptive to our requests and made the wedding day exactly what we wanted. Many of our guests asked us how we found our DJ because they were so blown away with the musical selections he played and how friendly he was during the reception.
